Due to technological evolutions, animation has evolved through a diverse range of techniques, creating the conditions for hybrid animation to emerge, which has a direct impact on the production of animation. the aim of this study is to research the current state of hybrid animation among professionals, academics and students of the animation field, to hear their views, adherence and impact on their processes, as well to identify the advantages and disadvantages of hybridization as contribution to the other professionals and animation industry. this paper will be limited to the study of the main production differences between 2D and 3D animation and the result of its combination as hybrid animation, as a criteria to limit the study. To achieve this purpose, the methodological approach defined by triangulation, combines literature review, quantitative methods and qualitative methods on its analysis in order to cross some of the results to achieve deeper understanding and more credibility of results. the main contribution of this study is to position hybrid animation processes from the point of view of animation practitioners and to reveal patterns and exceptions of adherence to its technical processes in order to gather insights on the benefits and potential of its use to the industry.

Researchers are always trying to get the most important knowledge, however, finding accurate results in the current science deluge have never been more critical than now. While information technologies have changed the way we collect, store and retrieve information, there is a lack of strategies that support the exploration and presentation of scholar knowledge. Circular layouts are well-known structures for visualizing relations between entities, and as opposed to force direct layouts, are a more effective and user-friendly solution for visualizing relationships. this article presents a novel 2-level circular structure to map and support cooperation in science communities. the 2-level circular layout was designed and implemented using *** and is able to depict the relations between two different entities: the community that falls within a specific knowledge area (outer circle), and the articles curated by the community (inner circle). the goal is to support a collaboration scenario between researchers, who in turn share important knowledge based on their reading experience. the 2-level circular structure provide an overview plus details of the relations between these two entities. the preliminary results provide interesting results and pave the way for future research on a two-level layout. the link to access the visualization and code can be found at the end of the article.

While digital technologies have revolutionized how we collect, store and retrieve information, there is a lack of strategies that support academic collaboration at the institutional level. Today it is vital to know how to communicate accurately and efficiently, respecting the specificities of each communicative context. We present an interface prototype aimed to overcome the communication barriers imposed by specialized languages, which are becoming more relevant as a result of the increasing specialization of knowledge. this article presents the first iteration of the conceptualization process of the interface layout, its interaction logic and visualization structures. It is essential to consider the hierarchical structures/algorithms to represent and support the collaborative creation of academic knowledge resources. Radial tree layouts are an optimal solution for displaying large hierarchies, however the implemented radial layouts in ECharts are not being used as analysis tools, instead, they are used as a means of creating, mapping, navigating and exploring different facets and knowledge resources of academic projects, and specialized language glossaries. To sum up, this article provides a framework and fundamental guidelines for an interface layout that explores and promotes academic collaboration at the institutional level in order to overcome the lack of knowledge about the resources produced by different actors in the academic context.

Over time, designers explored connections between type design and sound, trying to bridge the gap between the two areas. this paper describes SpeechTyper, an ongoing system that generates typographic compositions based on speech. Our goal is to create typographic representations that convey aspects of oral communication expressively. the system takes a pre-processed analysis of speech recordings and uses it to affect the glyph design of the recited words. the glyphs' structure is generated using a system we developed previously that extracts skeletons from existing typefaces.

Macau is widely regarded as a tourism-oriented city, thanks to its captivating and numerous buildings and architectural structures on the World Heritage List. So we have to understand how to appreciate this advantage, which only existed in Macau, and express this unique culture to visitors to keep attracting more tourists to Macau. Given that the next generation will almost certainly use digital devices, including digital art in the Macau historical rehabilitation project would be exciting. this effort achieves two important goals: first, it provides a more improved and enriching way to experience Macau, and second, it assures the preservation and conservation of its original legacy. Macau's street signage is unique and incorporates a captivating style of porcelain painting technique. It highlights the tremendous significance and value that street names have carried since their execution, adding to the rich fabric of Macau's Intangible Cultural Heritage. Because of that, it presents an intriguing opportunity for study and experimentation. My concept revolves around the re-imagination of street signage by using digital illustrations and Augmented Reality (AR) technology, which is a new trend being used in many Heritage sites around Asia [1] which brings the user a new experience when travelling around the city, providing users with a different experience when visiting Macau. Furthermore, this project has a dual purpose;it aims to inform its users about the rich historical past of Macau's street signage and give them a fresh and immersive new experience of the past in the present. We aim to improve people's awareness and enjoyment of Macau's cultural past by effortlessly combining technology and heritage. the goal focuses on promoting the advancement of historical knowledge while also creating a greater interest in studying the broader tapestry of Macau's Heritage.
