People with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) suffer from recurring unwanted thoughts (called obsessions) that drive them to do certain actions repetitively (called compulsions). People with OCD feels stuck in a stressful cycle of obsessions and compulsions. there are two approaches to diagnosing and assessing people with OCD. the first one is conducted in the doctor's office. the second one is conducted inside a special-purpose room that is typically setup in the hospital. this second environment is constructed using virtual and augmented reality. Both approaches are challenging with difficulties such as the high cost and stigma of therapy. Fortunately, there is a third approach that uses specialized computer games to achieve the same goals. this third approach has not been researched yet in the context of OCD detection and measurement. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a serious game that can provoke OCD and then measure the intensity of the resulting obsessions and compulsions. this new game is based on the concept of cognitive gameplay. As such, the interaction between the proposed game design elements leads to the emergence of different cognitive processes, such as attention, memory, and planning, which are essential in the study of OCD. the proposed game design elements have been reviewed and approved by two psychiatrists.

this paper presents an efficient design of microwave filters by means of geometry optimization using shape deformation techniques. this design procedure allows for modelling complex 3D geometries which can be fabricated by additive manufacturing (AM). Shape deforming operations are based on radial basis function (RBF) interpolation and are integrated into an electromagnetic field simulator based on the 3D finiteelement method (FEM). the optimization controls two sets of design variables, i.e. the geometrical parameters of the structure and the parameters that determine the shape deformation. this approach provides great design flexibility at marginal additional cost since shape deformations require very little computational effort. A complete design procedure of a Ku-band RX waveguide bandpass filter is shown to verify this approach. the designed filter is fabricated with selective laser melting (SLM) technology. Measurements are presented in comparison with simulation.

computer-aided translation (CAT), the use of software to assist a human translator in the translation process, has been proven to be useful in enhancing the productivity of human translators. Autocompletion, which suggests translation results according to the text pieces provided by human translators, is a core function of CAT. there are two limitations in previous research in this line. First, most research works on this topic focus on sentence-level autocompletion (i.e., generating the whole translation as a sentence based on human input), but word-level autocompletion is under-explored so far. Second, almost no public benchmarks are available for the autocompletion task of CAT. this might be among the reasons why research progress in CAT is much slower compared to automatic MT. In this paper, we propose the task of general word-level autocompletion (GWLAN) from a real-world CAT scenario, and construct the first public benchmark(1) to facilitate research in this topic. In addition, we propose an effective method for GWLAN and compare it with several strong baselines. Experiments demonstrate that our proposed method can give significantly more accurate predictions than the baseline methods on our benchmark datasets.
