In response to the growing demand for secure cryptographic methods in information security, quantum cryptography has emerged as a promising avenue. this paper introduces a novel quantum cryptography technique utilizing Brown state, a resource proven valuable in various quantum information tasks. the proposed protocol involves three key parties: Alice, Bob, and Charlie, each entrusted with specific bits of the Brown state. these bits are strategically used to enhance security and verify the integrity of transmitted information. the report provides insights into the design, applications, and underlying principles of the proposed technique, emphasizing its potential for future quantum communication systems. the two applications introduced in the work are Quantum key agreement and an Information splitting application both utilizing the designed protocol at its core. Practical guidance on preparing the Brown state using Qiskit is also included.

With the rapid development of the Internet of things technology and cloud computing in various fields, and the gradual application, through the monitoring of the farmland environment, we can have a more in-depth understanding of the crop growth environment and the agricultural production environment. With the development of China's economy, urban environmental pollution has become more and more serious. In order to improve the performance of environmental monitoring, this paper constructs a low-power environmental monitoring system based on Narrowband Internet of things (NB-IoT) technology. the system takes the Internet of things technology as the core, Wi-Fi wireless communication as the means of communication, and uses the WEB application built by the cloud server as the application portal to simulate and design an indoor environment online monitoring system. the system uses the Cortex-A53 chip as the hardware core, collects the temperature and humidity through the temperature and humidity composite sensor DHT11, the photoelectric switch counts the number of pests, and the photoresistor collects the light intensity. Tests show that the system has an automatic alarm function, allowing supervisors to grasp the changes of environmental parameters anytime and anywhere, and can quickly realize supervisory processing. © 2022 IEEE.

the report authors have developed a LANDSLIP software package for visual modeling and landslide slopes stress-strain state calculation in JAVA programming language. It has various modifications (flat and spatial versions, various calculation models etc.). the user interacts with the LANDSLIP by means of visual modeling on the graphics User Interface. the user does not interact with all other LANDSLIP objects, they are completely controlled by the graphics User Interface. It creates all other objects, modifies, uses, and, if necessary, removes them. the interaction between the user and the graphics User Interface is performed via the menu system. Using the graphical editor menu, the user can create objects to describe the landslide structure and manipulate the additional sliding surfaces, groundwater lines set and program functions responsible for mathematical calculations and design documentation preparation. the LANDSLIP software package is equipped with interfaces that facilitate collecting data from the MicroStation environment, digital map, and geological database. the geological cross-sections are automatically created, and geotechnical soil parameters are evaluated. the software enables the stability analysis of any slopes or scarps using various calculation methods. It ensures wide opportunities to predict, evaluate and combat natural threats. the LANDSLIP software package results reliability was verified by comparative calculations via similar Canadian SLOPE/W software package at the design office of the "Turow" brown coal mine in Poland. the results differences are within the acceptable limits and depend on the peculiarities of initial-boundary conditions input in various graphic editors, various calculation models, etc.

the teaching of mathematics at basic educational levels is essential for the development of student's cognitive abilities. therefore various programs worldwide have emerged to promote the learning/teaching of mathematics and other complementary disciplines to improve students' skills. this has motivated educational and local government institutions to design strategies that help raise the level of knowledge in mathematics from an early age based on STEAM methodology. Considering a case study of a Mexican government institution initiative, the program "Math for Everyone", and following a mixed methodology, a dashboard that uses spatial data and performance data is designed to help visualize key performance indicators related to the "Math for Everyone" program activities for authorities in charge of state education policy. through a series of eight iterative design sessions, an evolved version, 1.5, was synthesized and subsequently validated. this version serves as a valuable tool for program coordinators and academic stakeholders, facilitating their decision-making and oversight responsibilities. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication (V2V-C) is a cutting-edge technology in the field of 6G networks that improves spectrum utilization and energy efficiency (EE). Despite the potential benefits, there are some considerable difficulties with V2V-C, such as cross-channel interference, co-channel interference and the demand for huge connectivity. To address these challenges, researchers have turned to simultaneous transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (STAR-IRSs) as auxiliary devices to improve wireless network performance. these surfaces allow users on opposite sides to be served at the same time by sending and reflecting signals. However, the existing solution has been limited to either continuous or discrete spaces, limiting optimisation parameters to either continuous or discrete nature. To address these limitations, the proposed scheme use a hybrid space to optimise the EE of the network for the downlink STAR-IRS aided communication system in the presence of vehicle-to-vehicle pairs (V2VPs), allowing one parameter to be continuous and the other to be discrete. In this research work, the proposed scheme uses the parameterized deep Q-network (P-DQN) framework for estimating the beamforming vector and phase shift for EE optimisation. the results from the simulation demonstrate the efficacy of the system proposed by maximising the spectrum usage and energy efficiency. © 2024, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In this study, we designed a control management mechanism for autonomous vehicles by utilizing the ownership Quality of Service (QoS) of Data Distribution Service (DDS) and implemented and experimentally verified it based on FastDDS. By setting priorities among the three control modes of manual control, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) control, and emergency control based on ownership strength, we prevented data conflicts and enabled fast and accurate control switching even in emergency situations. the experimental results show that the proposed system minimizes the control transition latency. Also, it effectively guarantees the message throughput and demonstrates its practical applicability in safety-centric systems such as autonomous driving. this research will provide future possibilities for extending ownership QoS in complex environments such as multi-vehicle cooperative driving and vehicle-infrastructure communication. It also aims to contribute to improving the reliability and efficiency of autonomous driving technologies. © 2025 IEEE.

Game-based learning is becoming increasingly prevalent in higher education as it fosters critical thinking, creative problem solving, and ensures cognitive development and social learning. this paper presents findings from a study to understand whether serious games can be effective in communicating concepts related to magmatic processes. We developed a serious game "Magma Pop" for use in an undergraduate geology classroom. the goal was to create an engaging experience to reinforce factual knowledge on mineral formulae and conceptual understanding of the fractional crystallization process to clarify the link between changing temperatures and magma and mineral composition. Students' game experience was evaluated during an in-class activity followed by an online survey. We found that despite a few technical glitches, the game concept and user experience were positively rated by students. the proposed game was well received and has now been integrated as a regular component of the course.

Purpose - this paper aims to explore the affordances of Massive Open Online Practical (MOOP) platforms in individual and collaborative learning. the purpose of this exploration is to enhance our understanding of MOOP platforms in achieving success in individual and collaborative learning. design/methodology/approach - Qualitative data is collected by a survey of 37 undergraduate students in China. this paper extracts the affordances of MOOP platforms identified from participant feedback. Findings - this paper identifies 8 themes of MOOP affordances for individual and collaborative learning, among which the affordances for individual learning includes: practicality, informing, motivation, and efficiency;the affordances of collaborative learning includes share resources, learning pathway, synthesis, monitoring and assessment. In addition, this study provides insights into the complexity of individual and collaborative learning, and also provides advice for the future of MOOP platforms. Originality/value - this study has analyzed a unique set of data to elucidate the experiences of participants in MOOP platforms and contributed by exploring future impacts. © 2024 the Authors.

this design takes the Arduino control board as the core controller to control the manipulator’s four steering gear, which realizes the free movement of multiple angles. By measuring the distance of objects by ultrasonic, the data is transmitted to the controller to realize the intellectualization of the manipulator. then the data is also transmitted to the mobile phone app through the Bluetooth module to realize the control of the manipulator by the mobile phone. this design is low cost, low power consumption, and easy to realize function.
