Collaborative learning in the organization promotes interaction among participants to achieve common learning objectives and shared goals, based on peer interdependence, personal and group responsibility, skills and teamwork, through direct communication and purposeful reflection of members. In this context, this paper proposes a model of collaborative learning using the narrative provided by the storytelling as a mechanism for externalizing tacit knowledge in complex organizations. Storytelling is considered as an important tool, since stories have the virtue of connecting participants emotionally, providing them with a shared meaning in the concepts to be analysed, and stimulating reflection, creativity, memorization and retention of data in the resolution of complex problems. Relevant factors of collaborative learning and storytelling were developed and also the role of the actors and readers participating in the story and the context. A methodology of soft systems was implemented, as a problem-solving approach that aims to understand and address the complexity of human systems, in this case collaborative learning groups in the organization. Factors influencing the learning process were identified. the soft systems approach helps participants understand the multifaceted nature of educational challenges and consider a variety of perspectives and factors that influence the learning process. A collaborative learning method using storytelling and soft system methodology was used that brings the organizational professional closer to the reality of strategic business management, sectioning three case studies: a company from the productive sector, another from the services sector and a start-up company. © 2024 the Authors.

this paper presents the design and analysis of a smart solar panel cleaning robot, focusing on kinematic and dynamic modeling to enhance cleaning efficiency and structural integrity. the robot is designed to maximize photovoitaic panel efficiency by mitigating soiling effects caused by dust and debris accumulation. Its kinematic model ensures precise linear motion at a speed of 10 m/min, while the dynamic analysis optimizes torque and motor performance, ensuring smooth operation across large panel arrays. Stress analysis guided the selection of aluminum 1060 alloy for the robot's platform, offering a balance between lightweight properties, excellent corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, the robot employs a compressed-air cleaning mechanism, eliminating the need for water, making it ideal for arid regions. Powered by integrated solar panels and lithium-polymer batteries, the robot is energy-autonomous and capable of efficiently cleaning up to 100 meters of solar panels in approximately 10 minutes. this innovative design highlights advancements in kinematics, dynamics, and material engineering, contributing to the development of sustainable maintenance solutions for photovoitaic systems. © 2025 IEEE.

CycleWiseT is a project that addresses the challenges of menstrual health faced by women and girls, particularly in remote Latin American communities with limited access to information and appropriate medical resources. Menstrual education helps to identify health issues and adopt healthy practices, improving the quality of life for women of all ages. To tackle these challenges, CycleWiseT employs a combination of design thinking and Participatory design, actively involving users in the design process. A Collaborative design Workshop with girls from the Southern Mexican state of Oaxaca revealed key insights, leading to the creation of our first prototype. this device offer audiovisual narrations and image projections to provide relevant menstrual education, promoting solidarity, safe spaces, and local cultural relevance. Our Wizard of Oz test had an 88.3% success rate, confirming the prototype's intuitiveness while identifying areas for improvement. By providing knowledge and understanding about menstrual cycles, the project aims to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) numbers 3, 4, 5, and 10, focusing on ensuring a healthy life, inclusive education, gender equality, and reducing inequalities within and between countries. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Long-term performance analysis of reinforced concrete (RC) infrastructures subjected to deterioration phenomena induced by the exposure to corrosive environments is a truly challenging task. Nonetheless, it is essential for designing new structures as well as for predicting the residual life of existing constructions or for planning suitable maintenance interventions. Within this framework, chloride-induced corrosion deserves special attention because of its serious consequences on the reliability of RC members. therefore, the present work illustrates a comprehensive computational framework meant at supporting the long-term forecasting of the structural performances of RC bridge columns exposed to chlorides. Specifically, chloride ingress in the cross-section of the column is accurately simulated considering the concurrent effects due to temperature, humidity, aging and corrosion-induced cover cracking. Once the partial differential equations governing such problem are solved through the finite element method within the computer program COMSOL Multiphysics, the loss of reinforcement steel bars cross-section is calculated based on the estimated corrosion current density. On the other hand, the nonlinear cyclic response of the RC bridge column under corrosion is determined within the OpenSEES platform by discretizing its cross-sections into several unidirectional fibers, also accounting for the bucking of the corroded longitudinal rebars. the results obtained for a real case-study are finally discussed in order to explain the role of the longitudinal rebars buckling on the time-variation of capacity and displacement ductility. this numerical investigation is supported by a convenient parametrization of the corrosion phenomenon that allows to effectively explore the influence of the chloride-induced pitting corrosion pattern (i.e., number, position, and morphology of the pits) on the overall behavior of the column. © 2022 the Author(s).

this paper proposes conventional bow-tie antenna and proposed kite shaped bow -tie antenna for sub - 6GHz 5G applications. this proposed antenna suitable for S - band (2-4GHz)as well as opted for 5G communications. this antenna achieves a bandwidth of 960MHz. Radiation efficiency of this proposed antenna is 95.37%. this antenna shows good return loss, VSWR, gain and radiation efficiency of proposed antenna demonstrates the potential of proposed antenna for ISM band applications.

the general concept is considered for the design of information systems of electronic trade. Shown necessity of construction of the integrated trade information systems based on the association of networks of e-shops, wholesale Internet-grounds and corporate information systems taking into account the mechanisms of the business process realization "trade under an order". the different types of information systems architecture are analysed for the electronic trade enterprises. Advantages of using are showed for development of the integrated trade information system of SOA architecture with conception of corporate service bus of ESB, and also technologies of MVC and AJAX. It is marked that technological decisions for the integrated trade information system must be based on the Internet/Intranet technologies. Corresponding business processes and conceptual requirements to the integrated trade information system are considered. © 2021 IEEE.

Today's densely instrumented world offers tremendous opportunities for continuous acquisition and analysis of multimodal sensor data, providing temporal characterization of individual behaviors. Is it possible to efficiently couple such rich sensor data with predictive modeling techniques to provide contextual and insightful assessments of individual behavior? Such data is noisy, incomplete, and collected from multiple sources, each with a different temporal resolution and dimensionality. In addition, longitudinal studies tend to examine a number of aspects of human behavior, such as well being, performance, or personality, which poses a challenge for handcrafted features engineering. To address these challenges, we propose supervised tensor embedding (STE), an algorithm for the joint decomposition of input and target variables in high-dimensional multimodal data. Latent features obtained from STE can be fed into any regression model for the estimation of the target variable(s). Following the embedding of higher-order data, features from different sources can be coupled. Additionally, we demonstrate that feature selection on higher-order data can enhance performance. the efficiency of our method is tested on two real-world datasets consisting of 29 target variables. Compared to the state of the art, we find that (i) our method outperforms others in 21 prediction tasks, and (ii) there are a few aspects of human behavior that are unpredictable regardless of the method, which can be the limitation of multilinear methods or lack of proper independent variables. © 2023 IEEE.

the World Health Organization (WHO) suggests social isolation as a remedy to lessen the transmission of COVID-19 in public areas. Most countries and national health authorities have established the 2-m physical distance as a required safety measure in shopping malls, schools, and other covered locations. In this study, we use standard CCTV security cameras to create an automated system for people detecting crowds in indoor and outdoor settings. Popular computer vision algorithms and the CNN model are implemented to build up the system and a comparative study is performed with algorithms like Support Vector Machine and KNN algorithm. the created model is a general and precise people tracking and identifying the solution that may be used in a wide range of other study areas where the focus is on person detection, including autonomous cars, anomaly detection, crowd analysis, and many more. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Food security is one of the major challenges that must be addressed to provide sufficient and nutritious food to everyone. In this work, we have used Ethiopia's monthly food price data from 2000 to 2023. the work aims to effectively predict food prices by applying machine learning models. We have applied the SVM, KNN, LR, DT, and RM models, in which it is found that RF is one of the best models with the highest accuracy 98.98%. Further, to consolidate it, we have applied the Friedman test to measure the model's ranking, and we have observed that RF is the highest ranked among all the applied models. the findings of the work conclude the same.
