the 3D clothing fitting on a body model is an important research topic in the garment computeraideddesign (GCAD). During the fitting process, the match between the clothing and body models is still a problem for researchers. In this paper, we provide a 3D clothing fitting method based on the feature point match. We firstly use a new cubic-order weighted fitting patch to estimate the geometric properties of each vertex on two mesh models. Feature points are then extracted from two models and a new matching function is constructed. to match them according to curvature and torsion. We interactively select several key feature points from two limited feature point sets to compute the transformation matrix of the clothing model. Finally the second match is performed to achieve the precise match between the clothing and body models. the experimental results show that our 3D clothing fitting method is simple and effective.

We present an accelerated depth peeling algorithm for order-independent transparency rendering on graphics hardware. Unlike traditional depth peeling which only peels one layer of transparent pixels per rendering pass, our algorithm peels multiple layers simultaneously per rendering pass. Our acceleration is achieved via our fragment program which sorts and writes multiple fragment colors and depths via MRT. A notable :feature of our algorithm is that it is robust against the unreliable parallel read-after-write behavior in current graphics hardware, guaranteeing correct transparency ordering. For ordinary scenes rendered under RGBA8 color precision, we achieve up to 8 x speed-up over conventional depth peeling with current generation graphics hardware. Our algorithm is simple to implement on current GPU without any hardware modification. In addition, it does not require applications to perform any pre-sorting of transparent geometry.

In this paper, we propose a volume rendering method using grid computing for large-scale volume data. Grid computing is attractive because medical institutions and research facilities often have a large number of idle computers. A large-scale volume data is divided into sub-volumes and the sub-volumes are rendered using grid computing. When using grid computing, different computers rarely have the same processor speeds. thus the return order of results rarely matches the sending order However order is vital when combining results to create a final image. Job-Scheduling is important in grid computing for volume rendering, so we use an obstacle-flag which changes priorities dynamically to manage sub-volume results. Obstacle-Flags manage visibility of each sub-volume when line of sight from the view point is obscured by other sub-volumes. the proposed Dynamic Job-Scheduling based on visibility substantially increases efficiency. Our Dynamic Job-Scheduling method was implemented on our university's campus grid and we conducted comparative experiments, which showed that the proposed method provides significant improvements in efficiency for large-scale volume rendering.
