In this study, we present an improved approach to optimizing the parameters of sensor sensing elements using quartz resonators with an interelectrode gap. We combine graphical and analytical methods to solve the multi-criteria optimization problem. the work focuses on the modes of operation of a quartz resonator equipped with an interelectrode gap in sensors with a frequency output, determining a set of optimal parameters and representing them as surfaces in a particular optimization parameter space. the presented results reveal specific areas on the surface of the objective function where optimization of design and technological parameters is possible, taking into account technological influences and features of the sensor design, including the initial value of the interelectrode gap. By using an improved mathematical model for the oscillations of a quartz resonator with an electrode gap, this study achieves results with an accuracy of ($8 . . .11$)% higher than previous studies, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method in improving the design and functionality of piezoelectric sensors for advanced applications.

the currently established tendency in computer-aided design consists in creating three-dimensional geometric models of the designed objects. Road design is no exception. the development of information technology has allowed us to perform the transition from 2D systems to the spatial design. this has raised the demand for modern mathematical models applicable for spatial design. the basic element of road surface design is road axis defined as a spatial curve. With that in mind, the mathematical models of road surface formation proposed in the present paper are based on the cyclographic method of modeling of space and its objects. In the present paper the algorithms of acquiring the basic lines and surfaces applied in road surface design are proposed with particular consideration for smoothness of their connection. Special attention has been given to local particularities of acquiring lines and road surfaces of transition segments. Application of the cyclographic method allows us to acquire a computationally simple geometric model featuring an analytical, i.e. exact solution. the proposed model can be applied in development of modern automobile road design CAD. © 2021, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Time-varying polar decomposition becomes important and has many applications in potential fields. this paper first proposes a continuous-time model and a discrete-time algorithm of zeroing neural network (ZNN) for time-varying polar decomposition. the continuous-time polar decomposition (CTPD) model is obtained by using ZNN method. Besides, the discrete-time polar decomposition (DTPD) algorithm of ZNN is obtained by utilizing a 7-instant Zhang time discretization (ZTD) formula for being realized in digital computer readily. Finally, this paper investigates two numerical examples with different dimensions. the corresponding numerical results substantiate the relative effectiveness of the proposed continuous-time model and discrete-time algorithm of ZNN for time-varying polar decomposition. © 2021 IEEE.

Fisheye cameras' broad field of view makes them ideal for a variety of applications, such as robotic navigation, drone vision, and car surround-view systems. Fisheye eyeglasses' intrinsic nonlinear distortion, however, makes it difficult to accurately interpret images and analyze them later. this research proposes a Zynq System on Chip (SoC)-based accelerator to dynamically restore fisheye lens image distortion in real time. the proposed system improves the limitations of conventional field programmable gate array (FPGA) designs that require fixed parameters and leverages the Python Productivity for Zynq (PYNQ) framework to enable dynamic parameter modification without reprogramming. Experimental results show that the proposed system processes images with a resolution of 960x640 at a speed of 135.7 frames per second (fps), achieving more than 20 times faster performance compared to software-based solutions. Additionally, it can maintain real-time performance even at Full HD resolution. We also evaluated the accuracy by comparing the fisheye distortion correction of four interpolation techniques provided by OpenCV with the quality indicators Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM). It is also flexible enough to allow the system to dynamically adapt to environmental changes and process images efficiently. this research provides a highly flexible, real-time fisheye distortion correction system for various industries such as robotics, automotive, and drones. © 2025 IEEE.

Tablet crack detection is an important part to ensure drug quality in the process of drug production. In view of the problems of target detection algorithm in the actual tablet crack detection, such as few training samples and the embedded device based on ARM architecture is difficult to accommodate the algorithm when the system is implemented, this paper proposes a tablet crack detection algorithm based on improved YOLOv5. the collected data set is processed by data enhancement, and YOLOv5 algorithm is improved by using fusion involution and varifocal loss to detect tablet cracks. the improved tablet crack detection algorithm improves the accuracy and speed of model detection. In the detection system designed with Raspberry Pi as the core, the crack detection mAP50 is 99.5%, and the reasoning speed is reduced from 797 ms to 299 ms. After the model is converted and simplified, the reasoning speed is reduced to 86 ms, which meets the design requirements of the crack detection system based on ARM architecture. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

We have entered another world evolution period where the world’s financial areas are subject to each other for guaranteeing natural resources security and stable monetary conditions. However, major parts of rural regions in the world rely on groundwater for drinking purposes, and it is reported in the different surveys that 80% of the diseases in the world are due to the poor quality of drinking water. Hence it indicates that drinking water is scarce and human society will depend on the supply of water. there will be a chance of wastage of affluent supply drinking water which further leads to fast diminishing of water day by day. To reduce the wastage and monitoring the use of water by the end-user helps to improve the accuracy and applicability of the drinking water distribution network, water metre is a very necessary component. In the proposed work design a Internet of things enabled water metre and installed into four different houses by the aim of reading the usage of water in a home and tested our device. All the water metres are connected to a central sever to store the data for testing the communication between sensor and server. the reading information are analysed through graph. the proposed work can be very much help full to minimised the wastage of drinking water. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

this study investigates the potential for parrots to engage in functional communication using speech board interfaces. We examine whether the interactions of a Goffin's cockatoo with her speech board correspond to established functions of communication identified by Jakobson's linguistic model and whether there is correspondence with biological functions in animal communication. Additionally, to explore the bird's intentionality we examine her persistence in making requests via speech board selections, her ability to seek out displaced representations of preferred foods, and her response to unexpected outcomes. Our findings suggest that the cockatoo's interactions with the speech board align with established linguistic and biological communication functions and indicate intentional communication on her part. this has implications for studying parrot cognition and, thus, for designing speech board interfaces that might better support parrots communication abilities

this study presents a novel semi-active seat suspension design using MRE-based vibration isolator in conjunction with parallel and series passive springs. the presented configuration allows large stroke for the suspension system to tolerate the human body weight while maintaining the MRE to continue to operate within a reasonably low deformation (-7.5 mm~7.5 mm). To evaluate the performance of the proposed semi-active suspension system, a single DOF system was simulated using an MRE isolator. design optimization was performed to obtained the MRE isolator’s parameters. the spring rate values for these springs were optimally obtained to yield maximum frequency shift of the seat when a human body sits on the seat. Increasing current from zero to maximum 2A increased the equivalent stiffness of the seat from 8.94 kN/m to 17.5 kN/m under a relatively lower frequency level where human shows maximum sensitivity. the system's resonance frequency can be increased from 1.76 Hz to 2.27 Hz, corresponding to a frequency shift percentage of 28.98%. © 2022 international conference on Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure: Transferring Research into Practice, SHMII.
