Accident prevention is a vital aspect of ensuring road safety, as road accidents can lead to severe injuries and fatalities. therefore, effective measures to prevent accidents are of utmost importance. One prominent cause of car accidents is driver drowsiness, which impairs the driver's ability to react promptly, increases reaction time, and reduces alertness. To address this issue and minimize the risk of drowsiness-related accidents, we propose a novel project that employs driver drowsiness detection techniques based on eye detection, specifically the Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR), as well as lip detection, utilizing the Lip Aspect Ratio (LAR). Our proposed system actively monitors the driver's eye movement, blink rate, and lip movements in real-time to detect signs of drowsiness. the system utilizes a camera mounted on the car's dashboard to capture the driver's face, and the collected footage is transmitted to an analysis computer for processing. computer vision techniques are then employed to detect and track the driver's eyes, calculating the EAR, which measures the ratio of the eye's height to width. Additionally, the system identifies the driver's lips and calculates the LAR, a ratio representing the mouth's height to width. To build the suggested solution, deep learning algorithms have been extensively trained on extensive datasets of images and videos of drivers exhibiting various levels of intoxication and sleepiness. these models have been taught to recognize distinct signs of sleepiness, such as drooping eyelids, sluggish eye movements, and frequent yawning. When the driver's sleepiness levels exceed a predefined threshold, the technology alerts the driver and the car's control system. these alerts can take the form of visual or audible indications, guiding the driver to stop, pull over, or take other necessary safety precautions. the suggested system offers several potential advantages, including improved traffic safety, reduced frequency of drowsy-driving-in

As the world's largest archipelagic country, Indonesia places a significant reliance on its fishing sector, which plays a pivotal role in the national economy and the well-being of local communities. Operational challenges frequently confront Indonesian fishermen, including concerns pertaining to safety, efficient navigation, and communication at sea. the Automatic Identification System (AIS) represents a potential solution to these challenges. Nevertheless, the implementation of AIS technology among traditional fishermen remains constrained by a dearth of technical comprehension and the challenges associated with utilising existing devices. Consequently, a mobile-based AIS application has been developed using and User-Centered design (UCD) and Human-computer Interaction (HCI) design approaches, with the specific aim of addressing the needs of Indonesian fishermen. the chi-square test results also support these findings, showing a significant association between ease of navigation and satisfaction levels $(\chi^design=30.00,\ \mathrm{p}=0.00044)$ . these results highlight the significance of an intuitive and user-friendly interface design in enhancing fishermen's satisfaction with the AIS application. It is, thus, recommended that the main focus of application development should be on improving ease of navigation and providing relevant and useful features. this study offers invaluable insight that will inform the further development and implementation of an effective AIS application for Indonesian fishermen.

In recent times, neuro-fuzzy approaches have been widely used for solving real-world complex problems. Adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is one of the prominent models in this field of soft computing. this model combines both the fuzzy and neural approaches to represent non-linear and ill-defined problems more preciously. However, membership function design is an important factor of fuzzy based system design. the number and shape of membership functions affect the performance as well as the computational cost of the fuzzy system. the main objective of this research is to find the suitable type of membership function for fuzzy model using ANFIS approach. In this experiment, several types of major membership functions- triangular, trapezoidal, generalized bell, and gaussian are analyzed with an effective dataset. Backpropagation and hybrid optimization techniques are used for training purposes with different numbers of epochs. In addition to that, RMSE is measured for both linear and constant type membership functions to evaluate the performance. Our experimental result shows that the trapezoidal membership function outperforms other types of membership function in all aspects for designing a fuzzy-based model which can be used in real-life applications.

DNA coding is a branch of DNA computation, and the quality of DNA coding is an important indicator that affects the accuracy of DNA computation, and how to optimize the quality of encoding and design a better DNA coding sequence is a problem that needs to be solved, and DNA encoding optimization refers to the selection of the optimal DNA code from the DNA coding set that satisfies the constraints. In this paper, the arithmetic optimization algorithm fused with whales is used to optimize the DNA sequence. the whale strategy is used to make up for the shortcomings of some arithmetic optimization algorithms. through the DNA sequence optimization design, the obtained results are compared with those of predecessors, and most of the experimental results are better than those of predecessors, which further illustrates the feasibility of the algorithm.

Culturing industrial software talents is an urgent issue in China. Currently, there is no systematic education program from the perspective of discipline standards and feedback from the industry. Based on the specific conditions of the current domestic university software engineering education and industry, combined with the preliminary exploration in the education and industry circles, the authors propose a competency description plan and three types of curriculum design for university teachers and industry professionals to collaborate in cultivating industrial software talents. the competency specification is based on the CC2020 competency model, the knowledge, skills, and disposition requirements for the effective and efficient completion of industrial software-related tasks. the first type of courses is culturing abstract thinking skills integrated with existing software engineering courses. the second type of courses is specialized courses related to industrial software, including theory and ability practice. the third type of courses is based on problem and project learning. Students practice knowledge and skills to solve problems and complete projects, develop interdisciplinary collaboration capabilities, and improve and adjust their dispositions. © 2022 IEEE.

A miniaturized implantable antenna (MIA) is presented here by utilizing meander-lines and parasitic stub techniques. the miniaturized antenna has electrical dimensions of $0.17 \lambda_design \times 0.17 \lambda_design$ . the proposed MIA has a resonating frequency of 5.1 GHz which can be recommended in Biomedical applications. the MIA is designed with Rogers (RT) 3010 substrate (0.25 mm) to make it conformal. the phantom analysis is executed to validate the design performance inside the human body and obtain satisfactory results. the maximum SAR value while using the proposed MIA is observed $1.51 ~\mathrm{W} / \text{kg}$ which confirms the safer use of the antenna design as per the standard of IEEE.

In subsequent activities like image identification and medical diagnosis, digital pictures are frequently damaged by noise during capture and transmission. When damaged photos must be utilized, several denoising techniques have been suggested to increase the accuracy of these jobs. However, the majority of these techniques either call for making assumptions on the statistical characteristics of the corrupting noise or are specifically created solely for a certain kind of noise. the performance of traditional image denoising algorithms that use lone noisy images and general image databases will soon be reached. In this article, we suggest denoising images with specific external image databases. Denoising is formulated as an optimum filter design issue, and we use the focused databases to (1) find the fundamental properties of the ideal filter using group sparsity, and (2) find spectral coefficients of the optimal filter using localized priors. Research exhibits better denoising outcomes than current methods for a range of circumstances, adding photos and text, multitier pictures, as well as face images. In contrast to employing a general database, we present an adaptive picture denoising approach in this study. In this context, a focused database is one that only contains photos pertinent to the noisy image. Targeted external databases might be acquired in several real-world settings, including text pictures, human faces, and photos taken by multi-view camera systems, as will be demonstrated in subsequent sections of this work. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

the onset of the global pandemic saw most academic events shift to an online mode of conduction. the lack of offline interaction gives room for individuals to participate in acts of malpractice which are very difficult to monitor given the lack of access to view the student's full physical environment. these are also laborious to monitor and can prove to be an expensive and time-intensive affair to have human proctors monitor long exams/interviews. Our work entails a novel approach to building an efficient remote proctoring system using machine learning that can be used to proctor these academic events to ensure that they are conducted fairly and without any form of discrepancy and malpractice. the paper highlights our pipeline of analysing audio, video and system processes and cumulating them into 'scenarios' which we then classify into different levels of malpractice. Our work also thoroughly explores system design for handling high volumes of such audio and video data using a combination of edge and cloud processing for the same. Even with our comprehensive outlook for processing data i.e. audio, video and system as a scenario we have achieved an accuracy of 88.91 per cent making our system more accommodative compared to other systems in the market. © 2022 IEEE.

the designers of marine propellers usually encounter the problems of characteristics studies of propellers. these characteristics would include the relationships among design variables and performances, matching between propeller and ship hull, and choosing a compromise design solution from many alternatives. In this work, the study of these characteristics is presented based on artificial neural networks and multivariate analysis. First, the propeller design solutions are generated from design of experiment (DOE) approach using B-series charts for a given effective power-speed curve of ship, while taking geometry, cavitation constraints into consideration. the geometrical parameters and performance of propellers are included in one high-dimensional dataset. then, the characteristics of this dataset are investigated by a famous artificial neural network, Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) and several multivariate methods. the relationships among design variable and performance are studied by correlation analysis and SOM graphs. the effects of geometrical parameters upon open water efficiency are found by main effect analysis. the clustering of solutions on SOM graphs are obtained through partitive clustering approach according to DB index. the significance of variables in these clusters is also studied. A parallel coordinate plot with cluster information also provides decision help to designers. the relationships among design variables are examined by hierarchical clustering then. In order to find the intrinsic structure of this high-dimensional dataset, a well-known dimensionality reduction skill, Isomap is utilized. the relationships among these variables are shown in 2D plots. Finally, a TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) procedure and entropy weight method are employed for finding final compromise solution from this dataset. A numerical example is provided in this work to illustrate the analysis process. the results show that the SOM
