this paper proposes a novel anonymous coordination authentication scenario for Grid computing security based on Trusted computing technology, which can provide efficient and reliable anonymous identity authentication and remote platform attestation for Grid computing systems. the scenario gives a method of tagging the rogue Grid entities. Architecture of virtual organization in distributed Grid system is introduced and a Reference Trusted Agent (RTA) with time self-authentication feature using Platform Configuration Register is built into the architecture. the hierarchy of RTA in the software and hardware system, which consists of three main modules, is pointed out in detail. Furthermore, the exchanging protocol of building trust in the mutual system platform is explained. A detailed description for enforcing the security of platform access control and applications is given. the scenario is interpreted in detail through five steps, then an example of the scenario is given and the security mechanisms are compared to GT2, GT3, GT4 and Trust Management.

this paper describes the architecture, of an agent-based music service that generates dynamic playlists based on suggestions from multiple users. the system employs a number of agents capable of autonomy, mobility, scalability, collaboration and platform independence. In the system, agents are classified into two groups: requesters and music service team. Requesters work on behalf of their users, and bring music suggestions from the users to a DJ agent (DJ) which is part of the service team. the DJ has a reasoning component responsible for music selection and negotiation. Music selection is the result of negotiation among agents in sealed-bid auctions. the bidding strategy is specified by users. the amount of a bid implies the value of a song for a specific user;the DJ will evaluate this amount to determine the winner of the auction, whose song will be placed on the playlist. All agents interact with each other using an interaction/negotiation protocol, through agent messaging. A proof of concept implementation of this architecture shows that agents in the A-DJ system automatically perform tasks and collaborate with each other under the proposed protocol. the implementation appears to be scalable up to approximately 800 customers on a general-purpose computer system.

the Higher Education in Clinical Engineering (HECE) of the University of Trieste constituted in 2005 the Open three Consortium (O3), an innovative open-source project dealing withthe multi-centric integration of hospitals, RHIOs and citizen (care at home and on the move, and ambient assisted living), based on the about 60 HECE bilateral cooperation Agreements with Hospitals, Medical Research Centers, Healthcare Enterprises, Industrial Enterprises and Governmental Agencies and on the international Networks ABIC-BME (Adriatic Balcanic Ionian Cooperation on Biomedical Engineering) and ALADIN (Alpe Adria Initiative Universities' Network). Some months ago, the collaboration with multiple open-source solutions has been extended, starting an international cooperation withthe open-source based company Sequence Managers Software, Raleigh, NC, United States. the O3 Consortium proposes e-inclusive citizen-centric solutions to cover the above reported three main aspects of the future of c-health in Europe with open-source strategies joined to full-service maintenance and management models. the Users' and Developers' O3 Consortium Communities are based mainly on the HECE agreements.

Within the Open three Consortium (O3) an open source Image-Data Manager/Archiver, called O3-DPACS, has been studied, developed and experimented in the routine of European and US hospitals. the O3 Consortium is an international open-source project constituted in 2005 by Higher Education in Clinical Engineering (HECE) of the University of Trieste;it deals withthe multi-centric integration of hospitals, RHIOs and citizen (care at home and on the move, and ambient assisted living). O3-DPACS is the evolution of the DPACS (Data & Picture Archiving and Communication System) project, started in 1995 at the University of Trieste, withthe goal to develop an open, scalable, cheap and universal system with accompanying tools, to store, exchange and retrieve all health information of each citizen at hospital, metropolitan, regional, national and European levels, thus offering an integrated virtual health card of the European Citizens, in a citizen-centric vision. O3-DPACS offers many additional features with respect to those programmed withthe original DPACS project, to account for the new needs of our inclusive and ICT-based society, in order to manage health data in an integrated environment of hospitals, RHIOs and citizens. In particular, O3-DPACS is open source, Java-based, fully adherent to the "Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise" (IHE) international interoperability project, internationalized in many languages, working with any operating system and any data-base system.

Grid monitoring systems collect a substantial amount of information on the infrastructure's status in order to perform various tasks, more commonly to provide a better use of the grid's entities. Modern computational and data grids have become very complex by their size, their heterogeneity, their interconnection. Monitoring systems as any other grid's tools have to adapt to this evolution. In this paper we present a decentralized, scalable, and autonomous grid monitoring system able to tackle the growths of scale and complexity. System's components communications are hierarchically organized on a peer-to-peer overlay network. Fresh information is efficiently propagated thanks to an directed gossip protocol that limits the number of message. Automation of key management operations eases system administration and maintenance. this approach provides scalability and adaptability. the main properties of our application are presented and discussed. Performance measurements confirm the efficiency of our system.
