the objective of this paper is to present a computer program developed for Windows to compute reliability indices for different customers and set of customers served by the same distribution feeder. this program deals with information obtained directly from utility database to create an equivalent network modeling and run contingency analytical simulations. the system's average failure rates must be informed by the user, based on historical utility data, manufacturer test data or typical values. the program enables to compute penalties and annual costs of energy interruptions and compare the obtained indices withthe reliability index targets set by the national regulatory agency (ANEEL) for the different sets of customers and distribution feeders under analysis. the program allows one to analyze changes in the system rates and in the topology of the electrical network and, thus, to carry out a sensitive study to verify the effect of some different protection equipment and changes in the topology of the systems, justifying investments that can improve the reliability, the power quality, and reduce costs of energy interruption and other related costs.

the use of consistent hashing to construct a distributed hash table (DHT) has recently gained significant interest from the distributedcomputing community, particularly because algorithms have been devised which implement a DHT using peer-to-peer (P2P) technology. However a common assumption is that every node that participates in the DHT is within the same transport domain. Some solutions make to this problem make use of an intermediate overlay network which itself can become messy. Other solutions rely on the widespread use of IPv6 or "work-arounds" for the limited IPv4. We propose a solution that uses a multi-space DHT algorithm to manifest a DHT space in each transport domain, with bridge nodes linking DHT spaces between transport domains. the ostensive problem withthis solution is to ensure that key requests are evenly distributed over all spaces. We provide a framework to solve this problem and give an example solution for a simple 2-space DHT network.

A growing number of wireless technologies are recently deployed to interconnect Mobile IPv6 nodes. We propose a new framework, called MIMA (Multiple Interfaces Management Architecture), to allow a mobile node to optimize the use of several interfaces. the MIMA framework includes three main modules: an Extraction module which dumps and gathers capacity information of the underlying interfaces, an Interfaces Selector, which spread the flows on the interfaces and the Profiles Manager, which manages different default behaviors on the interfaces and keeps applications profile. the MIMA framework enhances the Mobile IPv6 [6] features by implementing the Fast Handover [3], by performing temporary redirection and by allowing a mobile node to perform vertical handover.

Communication facilities on the World Wide Web play a key role in the design and implementation of distributed systems for cooperation purposes. Internet communication facilities allow processes to be spread over the Web to communicate and to access remote resources. Performance of the whole distributed system, in particular a distributed communication system, depends on this facility. It was the development of efficient and cost effective interconnection structures on the one hand and the price performance evolution in microelectronics on the other hand which were prerequisites for the development of distributed communication applications. We propose a universal synchronization scheme for distributed audio-video capture on heterogeneous computing devices such as laptops, tablets, PDAs, cellular phones, audio recorders, and camcorders. these devices typically possess sensors such as microphones and possibly cameras. In order to combine them wirelessly into a distributed sensing and computing system, it is necessary to provide relative time synchronization among the distributed sensors. In this work we propose a setup and an algorithm that provide synchronization between sampling times for a network of distributed multi-channel audio sensors connected to general purpose computing (GPC) platforms. Extensive experimental results on distributed acoustic Blind Source Separation (BSS) algorithms validate the performance of our synchronization scheme.
