Time sensitive networking (TSN) is a new set of Ethernet standards that provide real-time and security for automotive, aerospace and industrial automation applications. Traffic in time sensitive networks has combination, complexity and flexibility. Due to the differences of devices in the actual network, time synchronization on time sensitive networks is sometimes difficult to achieve. Ensuring latency performance for critical traffic becomes a challenge. To solve this problem, we propose a non-synchronous time sensitive network traffic scheduling model and implement a Flexible window based GCL(FWND) scheduling. Experimental results show that the proposed scheduling method achieves traffic scheduling for non-synchronous TSN networks at the cost of a small worst end to end delay and average bandwidth usage.

Virtualized methods are gaining popularity nowadays. It emphasizes the congestion control mechanism as well. the suggested approach would use system dynamics to automatically migrate each computing infrastructure nodes and enhance its speed.

For optimal use of cloud resources and to reduce the latency of cloud users, the cloud computing model extends the services such as networking facilities, computational capabilities and storage facilities based on demand. Due to the dynamic behavior, distributed paradigm and heterogeneity present among the processing elements, devices and service oriented pay per use policies;the cloud computing environment is having its availability, security and privacy issues. Among these various issues one of the important issues in cloud computing paradigm is DDoS attack. this paper put in plain words the DDoS attack, its detection as well as prevention mechanisms in cloud computing environment. the inclusive study also explains about the effects of DDoS attack on cloud platform and the related defense mechanisms required to be considered. © 2020 IEEE.

Spatial-temporal network traffic prediction remains a formidable challenge due to the intricate spatial relationships and dynamic temporal patterns characteristic of individual nodes. Traditional regression methods fall short in handling such graph-structured data effectively. In recent developments, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have shown promise in modeling these complex spatial-temporal interactions. Despite their potential, existing GNN-based approaches exhibit notable limitations: (1) they typically rely on fixed spatial adjacency matrices, which overlook fuzzy latent temporal dependencies; and (2) they often process spatial and temporal information independently, resulting in a loss of joint fuzzy dependencies or restricting the model to either global or local patterns alone. To overcome these issues, we introduce the Fuzzy Spatial-Temporal Fusion Graph Neural Network (FSTFGNN) based on Fuzzy Rough Sets. Our approach constructs a dynamic, data-driven fuzzy spatial-temporal fusion matrix to capture underlying low-level spatial-temporal joint relationships. Additionally, a fuzzy global-local unified GNN layer is incorporated to simultaneously learn global-local spatialtemporal dependencies. Experimental results on two real-world datasets validate the efficacy of the proposed FSTFGNN framework.

the purpose of distributed generation in improving voltage profile, abating losses, slashing fuel cost and boosting efficiency is becoming important in modern power system operation. this paper summarizes an unconventional optimization technique based on the elephant herd optimization for distributed generation integration in the power system which is inspired by the herding behavior of elephant group. this article elaborates a multi objective optimization problem considering two objectives to reduce the total real power losses of the system and to minimize the overall voltage deviation by placing the distributed generation at suitable location. the objectives are collaborated into a scalar objective optimization problem by using weighted sum method. the proposed elephant herd optimization based methodology is compared with the particle swarm optimization approach for IEEE 14 bus system. the comparative results relating to voltage profile, real power losses and convergence characteristics indicate the superiority of elephant herd optimization over the particle swarm optimization. © 2020 IEEE.

the rapid development of smart cities has led to a large number of IoT devices connected to the network. the introduction of mobile edge computing technology can solve the problem of increasing network congestion caused by centralized cloud computing and large-scale data transmission. However, the diverse demands of IoT tasks and the mobility of users still pose challenges to network transmission and task processing. It is easy to cause unbalanced load of edge servers, resulting in high network energy consumption. To solve the above problems, a cloud edge terminal collaboration network task immigration model was established and a task immigration mechanism for Internet of things was proposed. In the proposed mechanism, deep reinforcement learning algorithm is used to solve immigration policies, and user mobility is considered to meet the resource demand of the task in the region. the simulation results show that the proposed mechanism can reduce the service request delay, system energy consumption and enhance user experience. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Now a days distributed systems are backbone of majority of the networked applications. It has multiple entities working collaboratively. this collaboration needs to be coordinated by an entity among the member entities. the selection of such coordinator entity is critical in distributed systems. the process of coordinator selection is to be performed by member entities. this is termed as coordinator election in distributed systems. Member nodes need to communicate for electing the coordinator entity. the communication over a network makes the process of coordinator election vulnerable to faults, failures and security attacks. these vulnerabilities may lead to the threats like deletion or modification of election data and fake voting. As a result of the same the election algorithm may not terminate or the wrong entity may be elected as coordinator. Hence it is important to discover such vulnerabilities and threats. Existing coordinator election algorithms sparsely address the vulnerabilities. In this work, the vulnerabilities of the coordinator election algorithm are identified and a taxonomy for the same is proposed. the solution approaches for dealing with these vulnerabilities are discussed. © 2020 IEEE.

Propaganda can be defined as a form of communication that aims to influence the opinions or the actions of people towards a specific goal;this is achieved by means of well-defined rhetorical and psychological devices. Propaganda, in the form we know it today, can be dated back to the beginning of the 17th century. However, it is with the advent of the Internet and the social media that it has started to spread on a much larger scale than before, thus becoming major societal and political issue. Nowadays, a large fraction of propaganda in social media is multimodal, mixing textual with visual content. With this in mind, here we propose a new multi-label multimodal task: detecting the type of propaganda techniques used in memes. We further create and release a new corpus of 950 memes, carefully annotated with 22 propaganda techniques, which can appear in the text, in the image, or in both. Our analysis of the corpus shows that understanding both modalities together is essential for detecting these techniques. this is further confirmed in our experiments with several state-of-the-art multimodal models. © 2021 Association for Computational Linguistics

the Internet of things (IoT) is rapidly growing as a topic of research and conversation. IoT includes monitoring applications such as environment, healthcare, and military, requiring real-time gathering and data delivery. In dealing with time-sensitive applications, time synchronization is essential to collaborative wireless sensor network (WSN) nodes' data collection and routing information sharing. this paper proposes an ad hoc routing and data collection protocol with a time synchronization function. A hybrid packet-based time synchronization is introduced, wherein reference time is sourced from the sink node (centralized) and sourced from the adjacent nodes (distributed). the time synchronization process is integrated into the routing and data transmissions in the network as it lessens overheads and transmission exchanges, which would be beneficial for large-scale WSN. Finally, we evaluate the protocol's performance using a realistic low-cost WSN testbed. Our proposed protocol has achieved an averaged time offset of less than 100 milliseconds for a 15-minute test duration in multiple topology scenarios. © 2021 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

In recent years, distributed Generation (DG) have been a high penetration rate in the distribution network. Planning the active power of electricity from DG can save energy from grid side and reduce power losses in the unbalanced distribution system by considering the capacity to generate electricity. this research was aimed to appropriately generate the active power of DG for managing the energy on grid side and enable distributed system operators (DSO) can forecast production capabilities, maintain the grid balancing, and ensuring the stability of the distribution system. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm was implemented in MATLAB for optimal active power for each DG using Peer-to-Peer (P2P) communication with DIgSILENT for power flow analysis by shared data via comma-separated values file. Additionally, specifying equality and inequality constraint were applied. the results indicated that the active power of DG who is injected to the grid effect to the total power loss, voltage deviation, and power flow direction. In conclusion, the DSO can use them as the considerate guideline for issuing commands to adjust the increase or decrease in the production capacity of DG within reliability and security of the distributed system.
