the need for sociality in animals manifests in formation of communities with likeminded individuals. Social network analysis approach is a way to quantify the social and intelligent behaviors as displayed by animals in social structures. the study analyzes some of such network measures like modularity-based algorithms for community formation, intergroup and intragroup dynamics. Other network measures such as Degree centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, authority and hub have the potential to be mapped to some of the key leadership skills such as influencing, listening, information passing, resourcefulness, broadcasting and the extent of gregariousness abilities. the outcome of the analysis could be further extended in identifying animal threat, fitness and conservation of wild life. the study also opens avenues to explore similarities with human social interactions in organization networks.

Today, data are produced in large amounts, mostly in form of data streams. A data stream is an unlimited stream of data that is produced in large amounts and with high speeds. therefore, it can be defined as a sequence of data objects in specified time intervals. One of the most common processes performed on data streams is clustering which is aimed at dividing the data items into homogeneous groups. A well-known clustering algorithm is CluStream, an implemented version of which has been developed for the distributed environment of Apache Spark. this algorithm makes use of a tilted window. the present paper offers a modified version of the algorithm which utilizes a sliding window for clustering. In the proposed method, called CluStreamSW, only the latest data are used in updating the produced model and the old data are removed, which allows for a higher speed of execution and achieving more desirable results. the CluStreamSW was implemented in Apache Spark. the results of multiple executions of this algorithm on authentic data and comparing them with the CluStream algorithm based on tilted window indicate that our algorithm performs up to 30 percent in the CoverType dataset and up to 17 percent in the PowerSupply dataset better on average in terms of precision. In general, in some cases, more than 90 percent improvement in precision is achieved.

With the large-scale growth of data, traditional single-machine data processing methods are difficult to deal with massive data, especially iterative clustering algorithms that require frequent reading and writing operations. On the basis of Spark framework, this paper proposes a distributed possibilistic c-means algorithm based on memory computing, called Spark-PCM. the proposed method improves the related processing of distributed matrix operation and is implemented on the Spark platform. Experimental results show that the proposed Spark-PCM algorithm runs in a linear relationship with the number of nodes and has a good scalability, which indicates that it has higher scalability and adaptability to large-scale data.

For optimal use of cloud resources and to reduce the latency of cloud users, the cloud computing model extends the services such as networking facilities, computational capabilities and storage facilities based on demand. Due to the dynamic behavior, distributed paradigm and heterogeneity present among the processing elements, devices and service oriented pay per use policies; the cloud computing environment is having its availability, security and privacy issues. Among these various issues one of the important issues in cloud computing paradigm is DDoS attack. this paper put in plain words the DDoS attack, its detection as well as prevention mechanisms in cloud computing environment. the inclusive study also explains about the effects of DDoS attack on cloud platform and the related defense mechanisms required to be considered.

the new load balancing methods plan to disseminate the load to the proxy servers ideally and amplify usage of the network, avoiding traffic and delay along the way. In this paper, we are proposing a novel approach for optimizing the router request time to minimize the delay, which exploits the adaptability and programmability of Software-Defined networking. It is done by creating CDNs and balancing load using surrogate networks. It will lower the load on the original server. the load balancing is done using shortest path selection through the utilization of neural networks as a machine learning technique to choose the node with the highest energy level and determine the fastest route for data transfer. this enhancement work in this paper is done for specific types of networks like wireless networks during the session layer transmission. In the selection process of the node for data transfer, we could use a neural network instead of a decision tree. the paper concludes with the evaluation of achieved results and the comparison against the of performance metrics of other pre-existing approaches.

Cloud computing is not only providing the plethora of services in the form of resources (computational, storage etc) to end user but also contributing the major role in the development of internet of things (IoT) applications. the applications of IoT has been adopted quickly in several area to create the smart environment like healthcare, smart transportation, smart home and agriculture etc. therefore, everyone wants to connect with the internet, but these devices generate huge amount of data that cannot be process by IoT devices due to limited computational as well as storage capability. It's become important to integrate the cloud with IoT (CoT) to process this data. Infrastructure of CoT is heterogeneous, complex and geographically distributed where traditional cloud model failed to process this data due to high latency and scalability. Hence, fog computing is used to process the real time applications closer to data sources and improve the latency, energy, scalability and resist network congestion. In this article, we extensively address the cloud computing, CoT paradigms along with its applications, architecture, research challenges and limitations. Further, we elaborate the working principle of fog for several types of applications and it also worked as glue between cloud and IoT.

With the economic and social development and the substantial improvement of material conditions, the generation of domestic waste has grown rapidly and has become a constraint factor for the development of new urbanization. In the past few years, research on the domestic waste industry has been limited to intelligent waste sorting, neglecting the role of intelligent management of waste storage sites. To relieve it, We propose a deep learning-based multi-task network for intelligent management of garbage deposit points, which combines algorithms such as YoloV5,Deepsort, Insightface, and Openpose to achieve waste bin detection, waste bin status recognition and analysis, face recognition, action recognition, and multiple object tracking based on real-time surveillance video. Besides, we propose a new dataset named Waste Bin Status, which provides a meaningful addition to the existing field of waste bin identification. Experiments on WBS dataset validate that our method is superior to other methods for garbage point status identification. Moreover, our network is trained to work with different scenarios of garbage deposits, demonstrating state-of-the-art performance in real-world tests.

Software-Defined networking (SDN) simplifies hardware-centric network architecture by employing forwarding devices (switches), SDN controller, and SDN applications. Depending on the SDN application that manages the controller, controller can turn a switch to act as a switch, router, firewall, etc. SDN also enables switch to access more network information through controller. Our proposed SDN application consists of traffic monitoring module and routing module to optimize the network. Traffic monitoring module will monitor switches' port utilization and routing module uses deep reinforcement learning agent trained with deep deterministic policy gradient to manage switch forwarding. Relevant flow entries are issued to OpenFlow switches to manage switch forwarding. Agent changes the routing according to the switches' port utilization and learn the best routing to minimize packet loss. the proposed method will be implemented and evaluated in the future work using Mininet to emulate data layer (hosts, switches) and open source SDN controller Ryu.

Replication was the easiest and most convenient method adopted for data storage systems however it increased the memory utilization as it made various duplicates or multiple copies of original data. Henceforth, erasure codes such as Reed-Solomon Codes were considered for the purpose of Data storage. RS Codes utilized Galois field operations which included Vandermonde Matrices and subsequently increased the decoding complexities making them more expensive for storage systems. In this paper, small sized Low Density Parity Check Code, for distributed storage architecture is proposed which uses only simple arithmetic XOR operations, and hence displays lower encoding and decoding complexities compared to its counterpart, Reed Solomon Codes. It is observed that reconstruction of the original information is possible even when there are node failures. LDPC Codes has been chosen for distributed data storage system as it does not require all of the data blocks in order to reconstruct the original file, making it an efficient coding scheme for storage systems.

the number of vehicles on public roads is increasing while the road infrastructure is not keeping up to this. It is necessary to apply advanced algorithms and approaches to transport management to maximize the use of the existing road network and increase the capacity of roads. In this article, we propose a way to control traffic flows and automate road infrastructure using a multi-agent approach. the proposed approach involves the distributed management of various elements on the road network and their direct relationship with each other in a peer to peer manner. To implement this concept, we used the open standard of distributed control and automation systems IEC 61499, and to validate the approach we used the SUMO - microscopic and continuous road traffic simulation package. © IFIP international Federation for Information Processing 2020.
