Nowadays, automotive products are intelligence intensive and thus inevitably handle multiple functionalities under the current high-speed networking environment. the embedded virtualization has high potentials in the automotive industry, thanks to its advantages in function integration, resource utilization, and security. the invention of ARM virtualization extensions has made it possible to run open-source hypervisors, such as Xen and KVM, for embedded applications. Nevertheless, there is little work to investigate the performance of these hypervisors on automotive platforms. this paper presents a detailed analysis of different types of open-source hypervisors that can be applied in the ARM platform. We carry out the virtualization performance experiment from the perspectives of CPU, memory, file I/O, and some OS operation performance on Xen and Jailhouse. A series of microbenchmark programs have been designed, specifically to evaluate the real-time performance of various hypervisors and the relevant overhead. Compared with Xen, Jailhouse has better latency performance, stable latency, and little interference jitter. the performance experiment results help us summarize the advantages and disadvantages of these hypervisors in automotive applications. © 2021 IEEE.

real-time monitoring of the vital signs in everyday life enables early detection of various diseases and disorders that can cause a life-threatening incident. In this paper, a biocompatible strain sensor for real-time monitoring of the human respiration rate is proposed. the sensor consists of a stretchable fabric substrate impregnated with carbon black through drop-casting at ambient conditions. the proposed passive sensor provides a change in electrical resistance from 160 Ω down to 80 Ω against applied tensile strain 0 % to 16 %. Electrical resistance of the sensor decreases due to shrinkage of the conducting yarns and resets to the initial resistance value when released with the help of Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) encapsulation elastomeric properties and fabric's stretchability. the resistance variation phenomenon is exploited for the respiration rate detection application. the sensor is characterized for electrical and mechanical properties. the proposed sensor can be a good candidate for the respiration rate monitoring in E-textile and wearable electronics. © 2021 IEEE.

the integration of NLP into IoT settings has emerged as a revolutionary framework, providing consumers with a more intuitive and participatory experience. this study examines the capacity of NLP to improve user involvement in IoT ecosystems by facilitating intelligent interactions between people and linked objects. the exponential growth of IoT devices has resulted in a surge of data, necessitating the development of efficient and user-friendly interfaces to facilitate smooth interactions. NLP is crucial in connecting people and IoT devices by enabling the comprehension and production of language that resembles human communication. By adding NLP, IoT environments may give users with a conversational interface, allowing them to manage and monitor equipment with natural language instructions. this study focuses on doing a comprehensive examination of current NLP approaches and their suitability for use in IoT environments. this work examines the problems and potential of integrating NLP in various IoT situations. It specifically focuses on tackling concerns related to language variety, contextual comprehension, and the need for real-time processing. Moreover, the research examines the influence of intelligent dialogues on user involvement, highlighting the possibility of heightened user contentment, effectiveness, and availability. Case studies and practical examples demonstrate effective use of NLP in IoT applications.

Combinatorial optimization problems are economically valuable but computationally hard to solve. Many practical combinatorial optimizations can be converted to the ground-state search problems of Ising spin models. Simulated bifurcation (SB) is a quantum-inspired algorithm to solve these Ising problems. One of the remarkable features of SB is the high-degree parallelism, providing an opportunity for quickly solving those problems by massively parallel processing. In this article, we review our recent works on the design and implementation of high-performance FPGA-based accelerators for SB and their applications toward innovative real-time systems that make optimal responses to ever-changing situations. An example of such an application is an ultrafast financial transaction machine that detects the most profitable cross-currency arbitrage opportunities at microsecond speeds. Also, we show a scale-out architecture for SB-based Ising machines with all-to-all spin-spin couplings that allows continued scaling of both machine size and computational throughput by connecting multiple chips, rather than scaling up a single chip. © 2021 Owner/Author.

this endeavor presents an innovative Solar-Powered Tactical Uniform for Military use, incorporating Arduino technology along with an array of sensors and communication modules. the configuration includes an Arduino ATmega16a microcontroller, LCD display, a 70x70 solar panel, a 12V battery, a heart rate sensor, a temperature sensor, dual relays, a CPU fan, a Peltier module, a DHT11 humidity and temperature sensor, GPS, a GSM module, and push-button switches. the renewable energy captured by the solar panel is utilized to recharge the 12V battery, ensuring a constant power supply for the electronic components of the uniform. real-time data on the LCD display is derived from the soldier's vital signs, which are monitored by the heart rate and temperature sensors. To improve soldier comfort, the Peltier module actively regulates temperature. During crucial scenarios, the system initiates the cooling process by activating the CPU fan and engages the GPS and GSM modules for both location tracking and communication purposes. Manual control is facilitated through push-button switches. this intelligent E-uniform seamlessly integrates energy-efficient features, health monitoring, and communication capabilities, showcasing its ability to improve soldier well-being and enhance situational awareness in field operations.

this paper presents the design and development of a dual DC motor control module for remote antenna tilt control. Utilizing an STM32 microcontroller, the system provides precise control over motor speed and direction, ensuring accurate antenna positioning essential for optimal signal reception. the DRV8802 motor driver is employed to achieve robust performance in low-power applications, providing reliability and efficiency. the control scheme optimizes motor speed regulation through advanced algorithms, incorporating closed-loop control strategies to enhance the system's responsiveness and stability. real-time feedback is achieved using hall-effect sensors, which offer precise measurements of motor position and speed, ensuring high accuracy in control and positioning. Power management within the system is facilitated by an efficient buck converter design, ensuring stable power supply to the motors and minimizing energy consumption. the hardware design includes protective features such as overcurrent and thermal shutdown to enhance the system's *** control module's effectiveness is validated through extensive simulations and practical implementations, demonstrating its capability to maintain precise and reliable antenna positioning under various operating conditions. the system's scalability and flexibility make it suitable for a wide range of applications in communication technology.

A revolution is underway in the field of electric vehicle (EV) power quality monitoring thanks to advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), which holds great promise for the enhancement of industrial applications. this research delves into the potential of AI to enhance electric car systems' energy management and predictive analytics. Power quality measures, which are critical for electric vehicle performance, may be effectively monitored and evaluated by artificial intelligence. these metrics include frequency fluctuations, harmonic distortion, and voltage stability. Using algorithms for machine learning and analyzing data in real-time makes this possible. In order to create predictive models that can foresee potential power quality issues, this study's results have prompted research into several AI techniques, including support vector machines and neural networks. As a result, operational downtime will be reduced and preventative maintenance can be carried out. Also, power quality monitoring systems are able to collect and analyze data more efficiently with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of things (IoT) devices. the goal of this research is to highlight the benefits of electric vehicle (EV) power quality monitoring powered by artificial intelligence (AI), such as enhanced user experience, longer battery life, and greater energy efficiency. Electric vehicles in industrial settings may become more dependable and environmentally friendly if artificial intelligence is used to improve power quality control. this could lead to smarter energy management solutions.

Heart disease is the leading cause of deaths worldwide. According to a study published in 2016, one out of every four fatalities in India is caused by cardiovascular disease, which, if not treated properly and immediately, can cause serious health difficulties in patients. Millions of people's lives may be saved if this life-threatening condition could be detected early. this paper proposes a legitimate fitness state detection approach with a heart disease use-case combining machine learning models such as K-Nearest Neighbors, Random Forest algo, and other ensemble learning approaches. this strategy focuses on using machine learning models to predict cardiac problems using real-time data. Stacking CV Classifier with KNN as meta classifier surpasses the other classifiers used in the study with an accuracy rate of 93.39% when using the ensemble learning approach on the data.

the development of equipment monitoring system with use of Digital Twins and Internet of things Technologies is considered in the article. Every day more and more equipment is introduced into the production process, which is combined into a single system. Such a system requires a stable energy supply. the proposed equipment monitoring system includes device for monitoring energy characteristics. It is necessary to design and develop a cloud part of the system, which will solve the problem of monitoring equipment for energy performance using digital twins. All operations in proposed equipment monitoring system is performed in real time. the algorithms for the service with different gateways were proposed and described in this work.
