Within present article characteristics of errors definition are being analyzed within coded words of conventional sum codes (Berger Codes). Unrevealed features of earlier unknown errors detection based on self-multiplicity and forms (unidirectional, symmetrical either asymmetrical), were discovered by us, which may be helpful while synthesis of embedded control schemas, for example, by means of Boolean Complement Method. Here we demonstrated, that while implementation of Berger Codes, certain amount of symmetrical as well as asymmetrical plus unidirectional faults within coded words are not being spotted, which considered as a difference compares to prior defined characteristics of malfunction identification within data vectors of Berger Codes only (regarding our abovementioned case, any symmetrical errors are not the matter of identification, but at the same time, any of unidirectional or asymmetrical mistakes are being found, which is useful while errors definition systems synthesis). the share of not traced errors from the entire quantity per Berger Codes with data vectors dimensions $r=4\ldots 7$ is composed of less than 2%, as for Berger Codes with vectors lengths $r=8\ldots 15$ , it is even less than 0.5%. the abovementioned factor has significant influence on probabilistic characteristics of errors detection into coded words of Berger Codes: for instance, within prospect of failure absence in single digit order number $p=0.9$ , chance of error identification in coded words Pm is above the value of 0.99 for total noted lengths of data vectors. Application of conventional codes with summation is well thought-out as effective case for embedded control systems synthesis including via Boolean Complement Method, where, data and check digits of coded words are being evaluated by means of diagnostic object itself.

Modern safety-critical embedded applications like autonomous driving need to be fail-operational. At the same time, high performance and low power consumption are demanded. A common way to achieve this is the use of heterogeneous multi-cores. When applied to such systems, prevalent fault tolerance mechanisms suffer from some disadvantages: Some (e.g. triple modular redundancy) require a substantial amount of duplication, resulting in high hardware costs and power consumption. Others (e.g. lockstep) require supplementary check-pointing mechanisms to recover from errors. Further approaches (e.g. software-based process-level redundancy) cannot handle the indeterminism introduced by multithreaded execution. this paper presents a novel approach for fail-operational systems using hardware transactional memory, which can also be used for embedded systems running heterogeneous multicores. Each thread is automatically split into transactions, which then execute redundantly. the hardware transactional memory is extended to support multiple versions, which allows the reproduction of atomic operations and recovery in case of an error. In our FPGA-based evaluation, we executed the PARSEC benchmark suite with fault tolerance on 12 cores.

In recent years, facing recognition technology has been widely used in video surveillance, image retrieval, advertising, human-computer interaction and other fields. In terms of face detection, the traditional image classification model has the problems of long training time, huge amount of parameters and huge amount of calculation. To resolve these problems, this paper proposes a gender recognition and age estimation algorithm based on multitask learning,with improving the classification model that achieves excellent performance in the image classification field. Using Convolutional Neural Networks can extract preliminary feature, and then join the multi-task learning layer, performs gender recognition and age estimation tasks by guiding the weight update of the network through the backpropagation algorithm. In this paper, by designing an efficient neural network structure for multi-attribute learning of faces, it realizes that multi-attributes share features in the shallow layer, and reduces network overfitting. It also learns features independently at high levels, and improves model accuracy. the algorithm can predict static face images and the dynamic video, and can also perform multi-target detection and multi-attribute recognition.

In recent years, there has been an increase in interest in biometrics research involving the use of brain characteristics commonly known as behavioral traits. Human eyes contain a rich source of idiosyncratic information which may be used for the recognition of an individual's identity. this article implements an innovative experiment and a new approach to processing human eye movements, ultimately aimed at biometric identification of individuals. In our experiment, the subjects observe special test visual stimuli, which are generated on the computer monitor screen. the eye movements are tracked in dynamics providing information for constructing a nonparametric nonlinear dynamic model (Volterra model) of a human's oculomotor system (OMS) in the form of multivariate transient functions. the implemented method treats eye trajectories as 2-D distributions of points on the “Coordinate-time” plane. the efficiency of dynamic characteristics for personality identification is confirmed by examples of models built on the basis of data from real experiments. the resulting OMS models are a source of information for the selection of informative features, in the space of which the decisive rule of optimal identification of individuals is determined using machine learning methods. Promising results at the task of identification according to behavioral characteristics of an individual have been obtained - recognition accuracy is higher than 97%.

the authors show that safety systems of railway automation and remote control can't ensure safety when reaching the limit states of railway infrastructure objects with which they do not directly interact. this is the cause of the train traffic safety incident. Conditions for the safety train control system architecture are formulated. the necessity of integration of hardware for diagnostics and monitoring with train control systems in railway transport for the implementation of the barrier function is noted. It is proposed to output the alarm signal through the hardware interfaces to the train control systems for the speed limits data communication to the train movements controller and the locomotive driver when passing the object under test (up to a complete stop).

Nowadays people have higher requirements for the air quality in our daily life. In view of this, using the Tiny6410 development board equipped with an ARM11 processor and the various sensors to realize the air quality monitoring system. this system can be used for monitoring the temperature, humidity and PM2.5 value of the environment. the collected data can be sent to the PC in real time. through the test results, it can be seen that the error of the PM2.5 value is small, the temperature and humidity test results are within the actual requirements. Cloud services and fog-based solutions can improve the communication and processing efficiency of the Internet of things (IoT). Cloud and fog servers offer more processing power to IoT solutions, enabling more complex tasks within reduced time frames, which could not be possible when relying solely on IoT devices. Cloud and fog computing benefits are even better when considering sensitive data processing once IoT devices can hardly perform complex security tasks. To improve data security in cloud/fog-based IoT solutions, Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) allow the processing of sensitive data and code inside protected and isolated regions of memory. this paper presents a brief survey regarding TEEs’ adoption to protect data in cloud/fog-based IoT applications. We focus on solutions based on the two leading TEE technologies currently available in the market (Intel SGX and ARM Trustzone), pointing out some research challenges and directions. time series-based applications such as recognition of handwriting benefit from using Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) in terms of accuracy and efficiency. Due to strict power and memory limitations of embedded platforms in the Internet-of-things (IoT), the inference of such DNNs is usually performed on more powerful and less constrained devices. However, inference on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets leads to high system requirements. In this paper, we present our approach for distributing computational workload between sensor pen and a mobile device for handwriting recognition. this not only results in lower system requirements for mobile devices, but also opens up the possibility of storing compressed sensor data on the pen when remote devices are not available or connected. therefore, we first quantize weights of the DNN layers to significantly reduce the memory footprint and optimize a Connectionist Temporal Classification (CTC) algorithm to minimize the link bandwidth. the latter allows transmitting only a small matrix from the pen to the mobile device, on which the decoding is performed. To further improve the accuracy of handwriting recognition, we add a Language Model (LM) to the decoding algorithm executed on the mobile device. As a result, we are able to reduce the memory footprint of the DNN weights by almost a quarter to 736.64 KB. Additionally, applying CTC-based beam search and an LM, we can reduce the link bandwidth by almost 80%. Based on the RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), we finally define memory and performance requirements to enable in-pen DNN inference.

the Cloud-based techniques emerging Internet of things (IoT) with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are enabling many new applications and new opportunities to people in VANET scenario. this paper presents a smart home gardening system;which is able to gather real-time data with various parameters used in gardening system. the technology used in this paper is going to help the society in terms of economic impact. Home gardening is considered an essential new trend for the awareness of the society towards environment. the efficient wireless communication using smart sensors facilitates cost effective solutions to real-time home gardening management system. Precision home gardening management system may optimize resources utilizations, smart sensors deployment and improves society awareness towards pollution free environment. this paper presents the design, implementation and validation process of new innovative technologies which can gather data related to home gardening like humidity, temperature, fertilizers compositions, and many more, push gathered data into VANET cloud for analysis, generate alerts and notify it to user for appropriate actions. In this paper, we present Cloud-based IoT technologies in VANET implementation for smart home gardening management system, which primarily focuses on real-world challenge of developing pollution free smart home in cities. We demonstrate the implementation of proposed system and discuss the results. © 2020 IEEE.

At present, most applications that require fast network transmission use the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) at the transport layer. However, many network transmissions rely on simple traversal to find and fill UDP protocol messages, which are prone to errors and not stable enough, especially in embedded real-time OS. Based on the analysis of the UDP network protocol framework, this article focuses on the instability of the UDP protocol application, designs a UDP control block and a functional framework specifically for UDP protocol transmission, and finally implements the test in the VxWorks environment, and the results prove to be improved Stability of UDP protocol function realization.
