Various mechanisms of mapping relational structures in graph database Neo4j presented in previous publications describing both detailed and more universal solutions, did not take into account the whole complexity of relational databases. the main aim of the aforementioned actions was to utilize the possibilities of graph database of programming languages paying special attention to searching for connections between tables when both their number and relations is very high and documentation is incomplete or unavailable. the effects of queries realization were presented with graph form, which resulted from the potential of the client program of the platform called Neo4j used for the needs of this research. the problem that the authors have failed to take into consideration so far, and that is presented now, is the case of intermediate tables occurrence, which are used in great measure to eliminate many to many relations on the level of relational bases as well as to eliminate relations based on complex keys. Another improvement of the presented application is new user interface, which eliminates the necessity for user of having Cypher language skill in order to query graph database. At the same time the application ensures results visualization in richer form than client program with the engine Neo4j that is available and offered.

K-scope is a source code analysis tool with a graphical user interface for the performance tuning of Fortran programs. With K-scope, developers are able to visually understand the structures of their Fortran programs and estimate their performance. However, the original version of K-scope has two problems. First, it lacks the ability to integrate the results of source code analysis with performance profiling data. Second, it requires developers to install XcalableMP because K-scope utilizes the front-end of the XcalableMP compiler. However it is difficult to set up the XcalableMP environment because this requires installing and configuring several libraries and applications. A binary package of XcalableMP is only available for major Linux distributions, and developers thus have a hard time installing XcalableMP on other environments, e.g., Windows. In order to address these two problems, we extend K-scope with two mechanisms. the first visualizes performance profiling data and the second offloads the parsing of Fortran programs to a remote server. More specifically, the visualization mechanism enables users to readily identify performance bottlenecks in their programs by mapping performance profiling data to each line of the source code. With the offloading mechanism, developers no longer need to install XcalableMP. Instead, they can connect K-scope to a remote server on which XcalableMP is installed, and which generates the intermediate code used for analysis. For this purpose, we develop a tool named SSHconnect. To verify the effectiveness of our extended K-scope, we analyze the Nonhydrostatic Icosahedral Atmospheric Model (NICAM) code, an application for global climate simulation that consists of about 300,000 lines of Fortran code. We found that K-scope successfully identified performance bottlenecks in the NICAM code and translated the source code for several applications using its remote parsing mechanism.

A fully abstract compilation scheme prevents the security features of the high-level language from being bypassed by an attacker operating at a particular lower level. this paper presents a fully abstract compilation scheme from a realistic object-oriented language with dynamic memory allocation, cross-package inheritance, exceptions and inner classes to untyped machine code. Full abstraction of the compilation scheme relies on enhancing the low-level machine model with a fine-grained, program counter-based memory access control mechanism. this paper contains the outline of a formal proof of full abstraction of the compilation scheme. Measurements of the overhead introduced by the compilation scheme indicate that it is negligible. © Springer international Publishing 2013.

In this paper we demonstrate that effective structure optimization is essential to improve code quality and reduce compilation overhead for object-oriented programs. We propose to address this problem by using an effective representation of structure operation, folding indirect memory accesses to structure fields, flattening structures judiciously, and allowing more aggressive procedure inlining, these techniques enable the existing scalar optimizations, which were well tuned for the traditional imperative languages, to work effectively on object-oriented programs, allowing them to make better use of the performance enhancing-features available on modern processors. We have implemented this strategy in an SSA based global optimization framework in the Open Research Compiler, targeting the Itanium Processor Family. the experimental results with representative C++ benchmarks show that the applications' performance can be improved significantly. For instance, Eon's performance is improved by 35.6%, while the execution time of the Stepanov benchmark is reduced by a factor of 24.

An interesting type of objects in the SQL standard and database systems are triggers which are nowadays being widely used. the capability of automatic reaction to certain events is of great importance. Although the idea of triggers seems very promising, their complexity and variety of different programming languages used for their implementation hinder their wider use. To write more complex triggers becomes a difficult task and new methods for easier implementation are required. An interesting approach to resolve this flaw was already presented, so called Trigger-By-Example approach; in this paper we extend this idea in a way that triggers based upon time events are supported too i.e. that triggers based on time events can be built automatically in a specified database management system. the paper will explain the idea and show how this was done in PostgreSQL database management system.

Constraint-based database caching aims at correctly answering SQL query predicates from a local cache database by exploiting constraints that have previously been used in selecting sets of records to be cached from a remote database. In this paper, we take our first steps in looking at performance aspects of our prototype adaptive constraint-based cache (ACCache), which is realized in a middleware manner on top of regular databases. Within our measurement setup, the initial focus is on two central ACCache functions: query processing and cache loading. To demonstrate their time behavior and interaction, we have chosen a scenario based on the TPC-W specification. We conclude with a discussion of our first measurement results.

In order to satisfy the requirement of unified data management for equipment EMI prediction in complex environments, this paper focuses on the key input parameters-radiation source electromagnetic characteristic parameters. In this paper, *** technology and C/S structure system are adopted to design the database system in order to integrate and classify data. Several aspects which include the development environment selection, the software framework design, the database operations and the main function of the system are taken into account to carry out the database design and implementation of radiation source electromagnetic characteristic parameters. the Electromagnetic compatibility database is developed using visual C# developing environment and SQL management system based on ADO interface technology, which improves efficiency and safety of the input parameter data management.
