A method of description and optimization of the structure of horizontally homogeneous multi-level parallel and distributed processing systems is presented. the set of feasible structures for such class of systems is defined. the description of this set is constructed in terms of the graph theory. For representation, the feasible set of structures, a condition for adjacency matrixes of adjacent levels is derived. For the reduced statement, two types of variable parameters are defined: for the level size and for the relations of adjacent levels. the formalism considered here, enables to state the structure optimization problem as a two-phase mutually dependent discrete optimization problem and to construct some classes of effective solution methods. Modelling and optimization of the structure of multilevel processing system illustrates the considered approach.

the techniques described are generally applicable to any time domain, parallel fault, digital logic simulation system. the particular implementation was done on the CC-TEGAS3 system and quoted results are from this system. the CC-TEGAS3 system is a time domain digital logic simulation system comprised of different models that can be used for simulating digital networks with varying degrees of accuracy and cost. the first technique to be considered provides accuracy of fault simulation when using assignable nominal delays for different element types. the second technique provides for handling fault induced activity in a network, in such a way as to considerably reduce the amount of simulation time required.

Job scheduling is a fundamental aspect for data centre efficiency. In this paper, we present ds-viz as a visualisation aid for ds-sim, a recently developed distributed systems simulator. In this paper we show an implementation done using CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture), a language expressively created for architectures with a multiprocessor core. In this paper, we consider a multi-cell downlink mmWave communication network and investigate an efficient transmission scheme for all base stations. Since the beams are highly directed with respected to the user equipments, user scheduling and beam selection strategy should be jointly considered. the objective is to develop the joint user scheduling and beam selection strategy that minimizes the long-term average delay cost while satisfying the instantaneous quality of service constraint of each user. To achieve the long-term performance, a distributed algorithm is proposed to develop the joint strategy based on multi-agent reinforcement learning. simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed intelligent distributed method.

this paper presents a new language that integrates the real-time and distributed paradigms within the framework of a concurrent logic language. Concurrent logic languages (CLLs) are capable of expressing concurrence, communication and nondeterminism in a natural way. that is, the intrinsic parallel semantics of the concurrent logic languages makes them well-suited for distributed programming. the proposed language is particularly suitable for loosely coupled systems and it contains mechanisms for distributed and real-time process control. A new execution model for concurrent logic languages is presented, which enables efficient distributed execution and real-time control. the model is introduced by giving an operational semantics for the language and the new model's implementation is discussed, including the definition of a new abstract machine and its implementation on a network of Unix workstations. Although the sequential core is not optimized, some previous results are discussed, showing the feasibility of the language's execution model for distributed real-time systems. the language is currently being used as the kernel language for a distributedsimulation and validation tool for communication protocols. In this paper, we focus on the verification of the PCB/Package power integrity, which becomes very important for the design of state-of-art high speed digital circuits. the simulation of power distribution networks (PDNs) of the PCB/Package, which can be modeled as a large number of RLC lumped components, is a time-consuming task for using the conventional circuit simulator, such as SPICE. For this problem, we propose a parallel-distributed time-domain circuit simulation algorithm based on LIM. Furthermore, an effective modeling of frequency-dependencies of the PDNs, such as skin effects and dielectric losses, to solve by LIM is proposed.
