ecently, with the advances of information and electrical technologies, Internet of thing (IoT) has moved from being a far vision to an increasing market reality. IoT promises to connect all physical things via a dynamic global network infrastructure and create intelligent behaviors in different contexts without human manipulations. In line with this development, the number of IoT solutions also have augmented exponentially covering many domains from health care, urban management to life quality improvement and so forth. However, separate appearances of these solutions today has led to barriers in enlarging smart environments because they lack a mechanism for integration. It is well-known that in the very near future, IoT requires the capabilities of high scale and dynamic adaptation with linking many new and existing smart contexts together. Hence, the need of having a comprehensive management method for the large-scale IoT environments is urgent at the time. In this paper, we focus on designing an overlay management architecture based on Chord algorithm to manage things in heterogeneous space. the architecture is a collection of multiple peer Chord rings, and thus each of these rings is considered as a smart context. We also bring forward operation mechanisms for the architecture such as thing identification, key insert/remove, key lookup and node joining/leave. Our proposed architecture is simulated and evaluated with diverse properties. the gained results showed the feasibility of our approach in reality meeting scalability, robustness and maintainability requirements applying to manage and control cyber-physical systems. Gossip learning is a form of decentralized stochastic gradient descent search that is implemented through randomized walks within a network. Our goal is to enable one to deploy gossip learning in open distributed systems, for example, in overlay networks formed by mobile devices, where different data mining tasks could be launched by many users. Among the many problems this long term goal raises, here we focus on the problem of running many random walks simultaneously. this is a challenging problem in itself in a decentralized setting because all the walks have to be persistent (they have to perform many hops) and agile (they need to move quickly). At the same time, the solution must take hard bandwidth constraints into account. Here, we propose a protocol to manage O(n) random walks in a network of n nodes. Although our motivation is gossip learning, this protocol may be viewed as a general middleware service for the management of walks over networks. A key element of our protocol is a multi-level restarting mechanism designed to prevent the failure of random walks due to node churn, while respecting a set of bandwidth constraints. Here, we simulate our solution using a trace collected from real smartphones. We demonstrate that the random walks are kept alive and are run at close to optimal speed under the given bandwidth constraints.

In this paper we use the Adapteva Epiphany manycore chip to demonstrate how the throughput and the latency of a baseband signal processing chain, typically found in LTE or WiFi, can be optimized by a combination of task- and data parallelization, and data pipelining. the parallelization and data pipelining are facilitated by the shared memory architecture of the Epiphany, and the fact that a processor on one core can write directly into the memory of any other core on the chip.

this paper presents a hybrid partitioning method used to improve the performance of solving a Satisfiability (SAT) problem. the principle of our approach consist firstly to apply a static partitioning to decompose the search tree in finite set of disjoint sub-trees, than assign each sub-tree to one computing core. However it is not easy to choose the relevant branching variables to partition the search tree. We propose in this context to partition the search tree according to the variables that occur more frequently then others. the advantage of this method is that it gives a good disjoint sub-trees. However, the drawback is the imbalance load between all computing cores of the system. To overcome this drawback, we propose as novelty to extend the static partitioning by combining with a new dynamic partitioning that assures a good load balancing between cores. Each time a new waiting core is detected, the dynamic partitioning selects automatically using an estimation function the computing core which has the most work to do in order to partition dynamically its sub-tree in two parts. It keeps one part and gives the second part to the waiting core. Preliminary result show that a good speedup is achieved using our hybrid method.

parallel processing architectures have been increasingly utilized due to their potential for improving performance and energy efficiency. Unfortunately, the anticipated improvement often suffers from a limitation caused by memory access latency and latency variation, which consequently impact Quality of Service (QoS). this paper presents a service guaranteed multi-port packet memory system to boost parallelism in protocol processing architectures. In this proposed memory system, all arriving packets are guaranteed a memory space, such that, a packet memory space can be allocated in a bounded number of cycles and each of its locations is accessible in a single cycle. We consider a real-time Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) call as a case-study to evaluate our service guaranteed memory system.

parallel communication plays a critical role in massively parallel systems, especially in distributed memory systems executing parallel programs on shared data. therefore, integrating an interconnection network in these systems becomes essential to ensure data inter-nodes exchange. Choose the most effective communication structure must meet certain criteria: speed, size and power consumption. Indeed, the communication phase should be as fast as possible to avoid compromising parallel computing, using small and low power consumption modules to facilitate the interconnection network extensibility in a scalable system. To meet these criteria and based on a module reuse methodology, we chose to integrate a reconfigurable SCAC-Net interconnection network to communicate data in SCAC Massively parallel SoC. this paper presents the detailed hardware implementation and discusses the performance evaluation of the proposed reconfigurable SCAC-Net network.

Adaptive routing algorithms help balancing the resource utilization in different parts of the network and hence, prevent a resource becoming the performance bottleneck while other resources are still under-utilized. In this paper, we present a novel approach, called Preemptive Waiting, which is applied to Odd-Even routing algorithm (PWOE). PWOE postpones the saturation traffic rate of NoC by 13.4% compared to OE, under synthetic traffic loads.

the main objective of this paper is to present a real-time system to improve road safety through the use of event alerts. A collaborative community where users can share traffic warnings to help other users is here proposed. the method is based both on the verification votes of the users, and on their profiles and trust levels. Each user is assigned a trust level depending on its previous behavior. the proposal is based on the assumption that the system will be run in every driver mobile device. thus, smartphones are the connectors between users and the community, using the cloud, and between the system and the users, using audio notifications.

In consequence of an increasing demand for high-performance system, multiprocessor architectures became trend and used in a variety of fields (e.g. PC, laptops, mobile devices and so on). Multi-core processor can get outstanding throughput with relatively lower operating frequency and power consumption. In order to obtain the maximum throughput in a multi-core structure, it is necessary to schedule assigning tasks to multiple cores. In this paper, we propose a hardware scheduler that is tailored for multicore block cipher and verify the feasibility of the scheduler using AES algorithm.
