In various performance activities, the pre-construction and arrangement of the stage are often essential and crucial preparatory phases. However, this phase frequently encounters challenges such as coordinating venue arrangements, difficulties in equipment handling and installation, and high costs of setup. To address these issues, this paper designs and implements a web-based 3d technology-driven stage construction and layout simulation system. this system encompasses five key functionalities. the backend data management offers users information administration capabilities, while the web3d stage simulation provides users with roaming, assembly, and disassembly functionalities. the documentation elucidates the specific usage instructions for this system, and the basic operational interface interconnects the aforementioned primary functions. Experimental results demonstrate that this system can assist users in becoming familiar with the operational procedures for stage construction and layout. through online learning methods, users can swiftly grasp the specific steps for setting up an unfamiliar environment, aiding planners in automating feedback collection and enhancing efficiency. © 2023 ACM.

With the advent of the era of "Internet plus", there are great achievement in web3d technology areas, furthermore, more and more focuses have put on how to more effectively show dense models on browser. the paper proposes a framework to lightweight process the 3d shape based on web Browser. this framework is based on Mesh Segmentation. therefore, a new dijkstra-based mesh segmentation approach is presented. the framework splits models and creates corresponding components, moreover, some repetitive components can be detected by our proposed framework. Firstly, a model barycenter is computed as a start point, besides, global distance is presented as the shortest path basis. then, mesh triangles begin to diffuse until the conditions are not met. Secondly, according to the triangles diffuse, the original model will be re-indexed in order to acquire the segmentation files. Last but not least, repetition detection algorithm has been proposed, the components will be detected to confirm whether or not there exists the repetitive relationship of each other. In addition, experimental results on the Stanford and SHREC 2007 datasets show that our approach is accurate and feasible.

this paper explores how the reconstruction of special history scenario will be applied in online education. After investigating various virtual reality techniques including design of virtual educational system, reconstruction of virtual scene, management of scene, AI, lightweighting for 3d model and light shadow rendering, we build an online education platform for touring a web3d virtual battlefield scenario called Huangyangjie in China. We firstly present the solution and scheme for rebuilding the web 3d battlefield Scenario using lightweight 3d models. Secondly, we present voxel of interesting (VOI) scene management strategy based terrain-voxel-model uniform structure. Finally, we optimize A* algorithm in AI management process and present Parallel-Split Variance Shadow Mapping (PSVSM) algorithm based on sparse voxelization in real-time web-based rendering.

the recent years have witnessed a rapid development in virtual reality technology and computer aided design, which accompanied by a vast amount of 3d content springing up from various domains, has given rise to an emerging need for methods by which they can be efficiently annotated before being searched and retrieved. In this paper a new approach to semantic annotation on 3d content is proposed. In this approach, much of the manual work on annotation is replaced with a semi-automatic process based on prior gathering of domain expertise. the geometric properties of objects and their spatial relationships are first automatically extracted and associated with a general ontology, the result of which is then matched against a set of user-defined rules to create annotations represented in an application ontology. the approach is web3d oriented so that it can take advantage of features of X3d format. It will be shown using a prototype system how this approach can succeed in accelerating the annotation process.

A 3d reconstruction and visualization framework from a sequence of 2d cross-sectional images has aroused extensive concern particularly in medical science and engineering. In this research, we design parallel reconstruction and visualization frameworks for medical data reconstruction and visualization. Reconstruction methods for medical data normally require high-performance computing. In this paper we make a web-based 3d reconstruction service and present a parallel computing framework for real-time processing. the visualization framework design visualizes a generated 3d model. Moreover, we implement a web-based 3d medical data reconstruction and visualization application that integrates both proposed frameworks and design our framework integrated with X3d technology and a modular approach. the web-based X3d framework integrated with a modular approach can extend cross-platform and inter-application data transfer ability and support run-time architecture to represent and communicate 3d scenes and objects. © 2010 IEEE.

there is currently a dramatic shift in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry to embrace Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a tool that can assist in imtegrating the fragmented industry by eliminating inefficiencies and redundancies, improving collaboration and communication, and enhancing overall productivity. In the context of this revolution, the intent of this paper is three-fold: 1) To introduce and define BIM to the web3d community as an application of web3d to the AEC industry. 2) To describe and illustrate the various ways innovative designers and contractors are applying BIM and web3d tools in the AEC industry. 3) To challenge the web3d community to collaborate with BIM and AEC-specific open standards organizations like the international Alliance for Interoperability and to discover ways to integrate X3d with the IFC file formats.
