Agent systems are a way to increase flexibility of Manufacturing Execution systems (MES) by scheduling tasks in a distributed autonomous way. Usage of autonomous, collaborative agents and off-the-shelf hardware and software components yet introduce vulnerabilities. this article presents a structural security model for protecting a distributed agent system based on the concept of a hierarchical model. In particular the necessary key system is introduced. the developed security model takes into account typical properties of embedded systems (low computation power, real-time capabilities, autarkic operation) used in automation environments.

this paper details developing and characterizing a soft capacitive sensor patch designed for force measurement in soft robotics and orthosis applications. the 6x6 matrix sensor was fabricated using silicone, selected for its viscoelasticity and strain resistance, making it well-suited for human-interactive applications. the sensing mechanism is based on capacitance changes when force is applied and measured using a MUCA board. the system also incorporates an SHT30 sensor to monitor environmental conditions like temperature and humidity, ensuring the sensor’s performance under varying conditions. Data from the capacitive sensor is processed via an Arduino Nano 33 IoT, with all measurements wirelessly transmitted and displayed in real-time using a custom dashboard on Arduino Cloud. the sensor can detect forces in the range of 1 to 4 N. Machine learning techniques, specifically linear regression, were used to characterize the sensor, yielding a highly accurate R value of 0.9932. Capacitance and environmental data are automatically saved and processed using Python scripts, allowing for efficient data analysis. this capacitive sensor shows great promise in applications requiring precise force measurement and enhanced human-machine interaction. Potential future uses include wearable orthosis devices to improve human comfort and soft robotic systems designed to mimic natural movements. the ability to integrate this sensor into wearable technology highlights its potential in fields such as medical rehabilitation and prosthetics, offering improved interaction and adaptability in human-centered environments.

Motivated by applications in fault/attack detection of engineering systems, we formulate in this paper a parameterized switched linear systems identification problem. First, we show that the identifiability of parameterized switched linear systems is equivalent to the global identifiability of a parameterized linear time-invariant system. We propose a new necessary and sufficient condition to check the identifiability of a parameterized linear time-invariant system. Second, using the prior knowledge that the difference between the nominal system and the perturbed system is small（with only a small number of parameters that have been changed）, we formulate the fault localization problem as a sparse linear regression problem. We investigate the performance of the proposed algorithm when there is a finite number of samples, and propose a necessary and sufficient condition to determine the number of samples required to achieve a "close-to-true" solution. Potential applications of this work can be: a) development of a sensor placement strategy as well as a real-time monitoring algorithm for the early detection of faults（e.g., material aging,line tripping） or attacks in power grids;b) understanding the functionality of genes, proteins and metabolites in disease dynamics,which could potentially lead to early disease detection and drug design.

the children with ASD have difficulty in showing empathy and also in recognizing and identifying emotions. this research introduces a web-based facial emotion recognition system designed to assist ASD children in recognizing and understanding emotions in others, ultimately enhancing their social skills. the system is implemented using the Flask web framework & CNN, providing a user-friendly interface for both children and caregivers or therapists. this study employs deep learning to detect face and analyze facial expressions and accurately classify emotion out of 6 emotions i.e., fear, angry, joy, natural, sadness, surprise displayed by individuals with ASD A CNN-based FER model trained on an autistic children dataset helps children with ASD recognize and understand facial emotions, a skill crucial for successful social interactions, targeting 6-12 year old. the CNN model has potential applications of FER in real-time social scenarios comparing with the existing methods like facial coding system, local binary pattern etc. our model aims to provide personalized and interactive learning environment where the facial emotions of children with ASD are detected through web cam during a learning session and unique emotion is detected which is graphically represented at the end of the session with the benefit of web based flask framework to assist educators, therapists to improve learning techniques, social skills among ASD children. Ultimately promoting a better quality of life for people who belong in the autistic spectrum.

Virtual rehabilitation has seen the use of game design principles to create serious games and exergames aimed at further involving the patient in therapy to increase adherence and compliance. the addition of game design elements to the therapeutic context can keep patients engaged throughout the exercises, which are characterized as repetitive and monotonous. Studies involving virtual rehabilitation with the use of serious games have obtained promising results, but there are still challenges regarding the possibility of automatic adaptation based on metrics associated with the limitations and needs of each individual. this paper proposes an approach to automatic adaptation to serious games applied to virtual motor rehabilitation. A game was developed as a proof of concept and experiments were conducted with physiotherapists and typical users to evaluate the feasibility of applying it in real therapy sessions. the results indicate the preference of physiotherapists for games with automatic adaptation, which demonstrates positive attitudes toward integrating this technology into rehabilitation practices. Usability feedback from healthcare professionals and typical users suggested ease of interaction and highlighted areas for improvement, including the potential of virtual rehabilitation games to optimize therapy outcomes.

this paper outlines the development and implementation of a neural network-based controller for a soft bending pneumatic actuator, incorporating an actuator fault detection and estimation technique utilizing neural networks. Soft robot manipulators, known for their flexibility and compliance with their surrounding environment, are increasingly utilized in applications requiring gentle and precise movements, such as rehabilitation. However, their nonlinear dynamics pose significant challenges for classic control methods. To overcome these challenges, we propose an adaptive neural network-based control strategy that leverages the learning capabilities of neural networks to model and predict the actuator's behavior with minimal error. this network controls the curvature angle. Furthermore, we introduce a real-time fault detection and estimation mechanism using neural networks to diagnose potential faults. this enhances the reliability of the system through identifying abnormalities and enabling countermeasures. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control and fault estimation methods. the neural network-based controller achieves high precision in trajectory tracking, while the actuator fault estimation system accurately identifies and diagnoses faults, ensuring robust and reliable operation.

Planar Cable-Driven Parallel Robots (CDPRs) offer significant advantages in various applications, but their deployment has been limited due to challenges in setup and calibration. In this paper, we address these challenges by fusing visual state estimates with joint measurements, resulting in a unified framework for both calibration and localization. this is achieved through a unified graph-based formulation that integrates these processes, allowing for the simultaneous identification of kinematic parameters and end-effector state estimations. this method not only simplifies the calibration process but also enhances localization accuracy. the practical effectiveness and precision of the proposed approach are demonstrated through experiments on the Kamal-ol-Molk Planar CDPR.

this article discusses the basic principles of developing and using mobile agents, which are software components that can move between network nodes to perform various tasks. Describes the architecture of mobile agents, including an agent-based core, migration mechanisms, and runtime, and discusses popular tools and technologies for their development, such as Java Aglets, JADE, Mobile-C, and Voyager. the article analyzes the key benefits of mobile agents, including flexibility, reduced network traffic, and increased reliability, and discusses security and management challenges. In modern pedagogy, there is a trend towards the use of mobile technologies with the introduction of elements of artificial intelligence. Today's mobile learning apps are increasingly using artificial intelligence to personalize the learning experience. However, traditional approaches based on centralized algorithms face difficulties in scaling and adapting to dynamic user needs. Mobile agents offer a new approach to creating more flexible and adaptive learning mobile apps. In this article, we explore the potential of mobile agents in the context of training, looking at their architecture, benefits, and limitations. the use of mobile agents in mobile learning apps represents a new paradigm for personalized learning, aimed at increasing the efficiency of the educational process and improving the user experience. Mobile agents are autonomous software entities that can move between different network nodes and perform tasks tailored to the needs and preferences of users. this endeavor presents an innovative Solar-Powered Tactical Uniform for Military use, incorporating Arduino technology along with an array of sensors and communication modules. the configuration includes an Arduino ATmega16a microcontroller, LCD display, a 70x70 solar panel, a 12V battery, a heart rate sensor, a temperature sensor, dual relays, a CPU fan, a Peltier module, a DHT11 humidity and temperature sensor, GPS, a GSM module, and push-button switches. the renewable energy captured by the solar panel is utilized to recharge the 12V battery, ensuring a constant power supply for the electronic components of the uniform. real-time data on the LCD display is derived from the soldier's vital signs, which are monitored by the heart rate and temperature sensors. To improve soldier comfort, the Peltier module actively regulates temperature. During crucial scenarios, the system initiates the cooling process by activating the CPU fan and engages the GPS and GSM modules for both location tracking and communication purposes. Manual control is facilitated through push-button switches. this intelligent E-uniform seamlessly integrates energy-efficient features, health monitoring, and communication capabilities, showcasing its ability to improve soldier well-being and enhance situational awareness in field operations.
