construction disputes have historically caused massive delays and cost overruns, often stemming from adversarial relationships between stakeholders. However, the industry is transforming towards more collaborative, technology-enabled dispute prevention and resolution approaches. this paper explores these emerging trends by extensively analyzing current literature and industry outlooks. It examines innovations in digital documentation, data analytics, virtual collaboration, blockchain transactions, integrated project delivery, and relational contracting frameworks reshaping dispute cultures. the study aims to investigate the ability top integrate new technologies for instance BIM and fuzzy logic systems to reduce disputes in construction projects. the analysis also underscores the need for construction professionals to continually expand their expertise in the latest dispute management best practices as projects become more complex. It concludes that an amalgamation of technological tools, collaborative mindsets, proactive planning, and continuous knowledge building is crucial in developing efficient construction disputemanagementmechanismsworldwide. Also, the full sharing of information and collaboration between project parties is the effective way to reduce conflicts and disputes at early stages.

An analytical review of the history of the leading vendors' providers in the field of programmable logic device manufacturing is presented. the analysis of development environment changes for FPGA-based projects, and a comparative analysis of FPGA chips and development kit boards for testing are performed. the practical experience of the transition process to new development environments for FPGA-based projects is considered. It is established that the dynamics of changes in development environments must be addressed at an early stage to reduce risks. It is shown that in-system programming significantly simplifies the development of FPGA-based projects. It is shown that scaling and parallelization at the top level of project hierarchy and pipelining and parameterization at the RTL level effectively allow such systems to be deployed in commercial cloud infrastructures and data centers.

the need to provide formal guarantees about the behaviour of the algorithms underpinning modern distributed systems became evident in recent years. this interest made apparent the complexities involved in applying verification techniques in a distributed setting, with significant effort being made in both academia and industry to aid in this endeavour. Many formalisms have been proposed to tackle the difficulties faced by practitioners, with one that has seen widespread use in industry being TLA +, adopted, for instance, by Amazon Web Services. TLA + provides engineers with a way of specifying both systems and desired properties, and is supported by a number of verification tools. Despite their extensive use, such tools suffer considerably from lack of scalability. To solve this, we propose a novel encoding of TLA + into SMT constraints to improve symbolic model checking efficiency. Our insight is the need to provide the SMT solver with structural information about the TLA + specification encoded, i.e., how data structures and their component elements interact, which we do by relying on the SMT theory of arrays. We implemented our approach by modifying the SMT-based model checker Apalache and evaluated it against comparable tools. Our results show that our approach outperforms existing ones on a number of benchmarks, with an order of magnitude improvement in checking time. © 2023, the Author(s).

the development of SYMBIOTIC 9 focused mainly on two components. One is the symbolic executor SLOWBEAST, which newly supports backward symbolic execution including its extension called loop folding. this technique can infer inductive invariants from backward symbolic execution states. thanks to these invariants, SYMBIOTIC 9 is able to produce non-trivial correctness witnesses, which is a feature that is missing in previous versions of SYMBIOTIC. We have also extended forward symbolic execution in SLOWBEAST with a basic support for parallel programs. the second component with significant improvements is the instrumentation module. In particular, we have extended the static analysis of accesses to arrays with features designed for programs that manipulate C strings. SYMBIOTIC 9 is the Overall winner of SV-COMP 2022. Moreover, it won also the categories MemSafety and Softwaresystems, and placed third in FalsificationOverall.

In the process of subway construction, there is a complex nonlinear relationship among the engineering quantity, material cost, labor cost and total cost, which cannot be accurately calculated by manpower alone. therefore, the reasonable deployment of human, material, capital and other resources in the future requires a high-precision and highly reliable analysis and prediction model. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes a Bayesian network model of subway construction project cost prediction based on principal component analysis and K2 algorithm on the basis of analyzing the financial data, contract data and the existing engineering quantity calculation data in the information data system. Firstly, the principal component analysis method is used to screen the influencing factors of subway mechanical and electrical engineering and extract the core data features. Based on the extracted features, a Bayesian network model was built according to the principle of K2 algorithm to dynamically analyze the engineering cost, and the actual subway engineering cost data was used to train, verify and predict the model. the experimental results show that the accuracy of the prediction model proposed in this paper is 87.5%, and the prediction results are completely within the controllable range, thus proving the effectiveness of the model and realizing the dynamic tracking of the construction cost of electromechanical engineering. © 2023 IEEE.

the software packages of the Debian distribution include more than twenty-seven thousand maintainer scripts in total, almost all of them being written in the Posix shell language. these scripts are executed with root privileges at installation, update, and removal of a package, which makes them critical for system maintenance. While the Debian policy provides guidance for package maintainers producing the scripts, only few tools exist to check the compliance of a script to that policy. We present CoLiS, a software platform for discovering violations of non-trivial properties required by the Debian policy in maintainer scripts. We describe our methodology which is based on symbolic execution and feature tree constraints, and we give an overview of the toolchain. We obtain promising results: our toolchain is effective in analysing a large set of Debian maintainer scripts, and it has already detected over 150 policy violations that have led to bug reports, more than two-third of them now being fixed.

the authors analyzed the main types of analytics used in the analysis of big data. Real situations are presented when these tools for working with big data made it possible to identify problems at the stage of collecting and preparing data for modeling. Based on the prepared data, five neural network models were built to predict the gas consumption of one of the industrial enterprises. the proposed models and the obtained forecasts of gas consumption will improve the efficiency of management decisions at the enterprise. © 2022 IEEE.

To assess the performance of an end-to-end computer vision algorithm for the early screening and diagnosis of glaucoma from fundus photographs. Development and evaluation of a computer vision approach for the extraction of physiologic measurements from the optic nerve head (ONH) and the detection of glaucoma. 101 fundus photographs were included for the development and validation of the screening algorithm. We automatically detect and extract the ONH within the retina, and compute two methods for segmenting of the optic cup (OC) and the optic disc (OD). Referable ophthalmic features including the cup-to-disc ratio (CDR), the Inferior- Superior-Nasal-Temporal (ISNT) rule and the neuroretinal rim (NRR) area are exploited, to quantify the structural changes within the ONH. then, we elaborate a clinical protocol to provide trustworthy, easily interpretable glaucoma screening process, and indications about the stages of disease *** approach allows to accurately estimate the clinical measurements with 0.11 ± 0.08 to 0.15 ± 0.12 mean-std error rates on CDRs, ISNT sectors and NRR area. Also, outstanding glaucoma screening performance was achieved with 93.07% (95% confidence interval (CI), 86.24% to 97.17%) accuracy, 98.57% (95% CI, 92.30% to 99.96%) sensitivity and 80.65% (95% CI, 62.53% to 92.55%) specificity rates, competing with the state-of-the-art. We formulated a clinical protocol aiming at evaluating the structural changes occurring within the ONH, for assessing the different spreading stages of the neuropathy. Excellent performance has been obtained on glaucoma screening process, allowing to integrate such algorithm into computer-aided diagnosis systems and support ophthalmologists. © 2023 IEEE.

With the development of social economy and the increase of engineering construction projects, a large number of engineering archives of various industries have been constructed. Archives are often scattered across different units and institutions, making it difficult to achieve centralized management and sharing of archives, resulting in prominent problems such as missing and errors while retrieving cross domain engineering archives. therefore, we propose the construction and Retrieval Mechanism for Cross Domain Engineering Archives Based on Knowledge Graph (CRM4CDA) for improving retrieval performance. In order to construct a visual knowledge graph for cross domain engineering archives, we combine Protégé tools with Neo4j graph database and integrate fragmented data to build ontology and extract entities for achieving knowledge fusion and integration. In order to improve retrieval performance, we employ semantic analysis, intelligent retrieval, and inference to improve retrieval efficiency. Knowledge association technology and transfer methods are also utilized to promote cross domain retrieval performance. At the same time, various measures are taken to ensure the privacy protection for archive retrieval. Both theoretical analysis and practice have shown that our CRM4CDA mechanism has the characteristics of high retrieval accuracy, recall rate, and efficiency. Further research will be carried out for exploring the deep integration of artificial intelligence and knowledge graphs to further improve the intelligence level of archive management. © 2024 IEEE.
