this work is focused on the design and simulation of a DC-DC converter for an electrical energy storage application, controlling the charge and discharge of a supercapacitor. Dual Active Bridge (DAB) topology is used for its bidirectional characteristic, which operates in Buck-Boost mode allowing a wide range of boost or cut in both directions of the power flow, galvanic isolation and high-power conversion efficiency. A fuzzy logic controller based on reduced rules is implemented for the closed-loop control of the DAB converter, the control logic allows bidirectional power transfer in the supercapacitor. the obtained results are simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software that verifies the converter operation and validates the performance of the proposed controller during the bidirectional power transfer, achieving an accurate regulation of the current in the supercapacitor, even in cases of disturbances present in the DAB converter. © 2023 ieee.

Quality of Service (QoS) requirements, such as fairness, average throughput and spectral efficiency, are a set of the important parameters that assess the performance of scheduling algorithms. LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) is the most viable wireless broadband network that strongly supports QoS by using Admission control (AC) and Packet Scheduling (PS). In LTE-A, Proportional Fair (PF) scheduling algorithm and its modified versions have proved to be the commonly used scheduling algorithms for their ability to provide fairness while Best Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) scheduling algorithm guarantees high throughput. In this paper, we propose a new scheduling algorithm by considering a tradeoff balance between throughput and fairness among users by combining Best CQI and PF schedulers' metrics. Moreover, we enhance the PF scheduler performance using new averaging methods namely;median, range and geometric mean for computing the average throughput which is further used to determine the scheduling priority. the performance evaluation is presented using Vienna system level simulator. the results reveal that the performance of the proposed scheduler, with the new averaging methods in PF, gives better performance than the compared to schedulers in terms of throughput, fairness and spectral efficiency. © 2018 ieee.

In this paper, a parameter-uncertain quadrotor UAV system with unknown external disturbances and actuator failures is studied, and a parameter adaptive fault-tolerant control scheme is based on an improved nonlinear extended state Man-machine trajectory tracking control. First, considering the influence of the unknown multi-source external environmental disturbance on the quadrotor UAV, the external disturbance suffered by the system is estimated and compensated in real-time by introducing an improved nonlinear extended state observer. Secondly, a new type of sliding mode reaching law is designed by using the continuous function with relay characteristics combined with the exponential function, which improves the sliding mode response speed of the system and eliminates the chattering of the sliding mode. Finally, a parameter adaptive law is designed for the actuator fault, and an adaptive fault-tolerant controller is designed by combining the backstepping sliding mode method, and the stability of the control system is proved by using the Lyapunov stability theory. © 2023 ieee.

A extraction approach is proposed based on an image processing in order to improve the accuracy of 20 quality information extraction for surface mount technology (SMT) BGA(Ball Grid Array) solder joint of chip components. First, some appropriate image processing algorithms are utilized to eliminate the noise in the solder joint image. And a binaryzation image is obtained after character. then the BGA Solder Joint 20 quality information extraction system is developed based on Visual C++, and the 20 quality information of solder joint circumference, area, void area, and diameter, are obtained. the experimental results have illustrated that the system can accomplish a good extraction result.

this study proposed a State feedback controller (SFC) with a Disturbance observer (DO) for a flexible joint robotic arm under disturbances. the dynamic model of flexible joint robotic arms has vibrations. Due to this system response changes while the movement of a robotic arm, which results in the position of the tip of a link is not set in a proper place. since there is a need to control the vibration of a robotic arm. the design of a traditional controller is capable only of state estimation and evaluations of internal disturbance. Since there is a need for a robust controller and this is achieved by designing the SFC + DO. Which determines the state vector, uncertainties like modeling error, parameter variation, external disturbances, etc. the proposed approach proves closed-loop stability. Simulation results show the efficacy of SFC + DO in the performance of position tracking, estimating states, and uncertainties. © 2022 ieee.

Recently, the ongoing labor shortage, driven by a declining birthrate and aging population, necessitates more efficient labor solutions. In this context, drones have garnered significant attention due to their high mobility and efficiency, leading to their expanding use in various business applications. However, the capabilities of a single drone are often limited by constraints such as size, power consumption, and thrust, thereby restricting the range of services it can offer. To address these limitations and broaden the scope of drone services, we propose a modular drone system that enables multiple drones to operate collaboratively. this system leverages the strengths of individual drones by allowing them to connect and work together, thereby enhancing overall performance and versatility. the modular approach not only improves scalability but also offers flexibility in configuring drones for specific tasks, ultimately leading to more efficient and effective drone operations. through this innovative solution, we aim to unlock new possibilities in various industries, including logistics, agriculture, and surveillance through drone system. © 2024 ieee.

In this paper, the design issues of both the fault estimation (FE) and fault-tolerant control (FTC) are investigated for a class of piecewise-affine (PWA) systems against actuator fault. Firstly, a novel region-dependent intermediate variable observer is designed to estimate the system states and the actuator fault simultaneously. Secondly, based on the above estimated information, a class of output-feedback-based PWA FTC strategies is proposed. Furthermore, by using two region-dependent Lyapunov functions and the S-procedure with an ellipsoidal outer approximation estimation method, sufficient conditions are obtained such that the estimation error system is uniformly asymptotically bounded and the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable with a guaranteed H8 performance index, respectively. Finally, the effectiveness of proposed methods is demonstrated via an illustrative example. © 2023 ieee.

High proportion of renewable energy integrated into the power grid results in lower system inertia and deterioration of voltage characteristics. Understanding the reactive power support characteristics of wind/photovoltaic (PV) /storage power station is critical for achieving coordinated control of their reactive power. In this regard, the paper proposes a comprehensive evaluation index system that considers voltage, reactive power support, and reactive power control to evaluate the reactive power support capability of wind/photovoltaic/storage power station. To validate the effectiveness of the index system, this paper constructs a simulation scenario of a wind/photovoltaic/storage power station connected to the regional power grid and calculates the corresponding indices. the fuzzy membership function is used to normalize the indicators. the subjective and objective combination weighting method is used to assign values to the indicators, and the reactive power support capability ratings of each power station are calculated. Finally, the reactive power support capability of the wind/photovoltaic/storage power plant was analyzed in combination with simulation scenarios, and the effectiveness of the comprehensive evaluation index system and method was verified. © 2023 ieee.

In recent decades, heart disease has emerged as a major threat to public health. the challenge problem in such diseases is to diagnose the problems in the heart early before get a critical threat in human's life. In this study, ECG surveillance system has been designed and implemented in real-time environment to detect and diagnose the heart disease with low cost and burden on patients. the real-time implementation of the device includes both hardware and software designs. the medical device AD8232 will record the patient's electrocardiogram (ECG) from the chest and transmit these data to a PC computer via Arduino DUE. then, the ECG data will be sent to LabVIEW programming platform to make usual medical analysis. Inside LabVIEW platform, the features of ECG features are extracted using wave transform. Subsequently, the results of analysis will be sent to IOT, where it is received by the thing Speak server, from where it can be accessed by a doctor or hospital via a mobile device for diagnosis. © 2023 ieee.

Mobile energy storage (MES) devices have excellent characteristics such as strong flexibility and wide application scenarios, and can play a role in shaving peaks and filling valleys in microgrids with high new energy penetration rates and improving power quality. Considering the plug-and-play application scenarios of MES devices in microgrid, this paper uses simulation to study the transient response of plug-and-play MES devices in the multi-inverter parallel connection system under the control of different control strategies, and the working situation after entering steady state. this paper analyzes and compares the situation of voltage source converter droop control, voltage source and current source hybrid droop control and plug-and-play under master-slave control, and gives an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of various strategies and suggestions for whether they are suitable for mobile energy storage plug-and-play applications. © 2023 ieee.
