this paper proposes a method to prevent cascading trip based on the action of relay protection and the output of generator as the optimization variable for aiming at the cascading trip in power grid. Firstly, the critical state of cascading trip is discussed, and the safety index of cascading trip in power grid is analyzed based on the analysis of the performance of cascading trip and the action of relay protection. On the basis of this index, a kind of optimized model of cascading trip prevention is given while considering the various constraints of power grid synthetically. this paper presents a complete algorithm flow for solving the optimized model combined with particle swarm optimization algorithm aiming at the proposed optimized model. Finally, on a ieee39 system, an example is analyzed by the MATLAB program, which verifies the rationality of the proposed method. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

this paper presents the design and development of a Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD)-based water heating control system. this system will primarily monitor and control the temperature by keeping it between two preprogrammed points (setpoints) and sounding an alarm when the temperature gets any higher than the maximum allowed temperature. the temperature is controlled by switching the heating element ON and OFF. the system will also monitor and control the water level inside the tank., by keeping it between two established points (a minimum and a maximum point) opening an inlet valve to let in more water when the water volume gets too low. An Algorithmic State Machine (ASM) and a Finite state Machine (FSM) are developed from the working principle of the Electric Storage Tank Water Heater system. Subsequently., the timing diagram is used to simulate and verify this system. the experimental results show that the scheme is reasonable and feasible as well as meets the design requirements.

the extended version of the induced pulsation attackis introduced through modeling and simulation, targeting a closed-loop-controlled architecture of a Brushless DC (BLDC) motor driven by a Kalman filter. Previously, the induced pulsations in the attack were created by a constant gradient linear function of the distortion coefficient employed by the attacker. In the updated version, the attack persists even when interruptions are introduced to the linear growth of the distortion function, followed by resetting it. the objective of the presented study isto assess the potential for enhancing the attack's effectiveness through this modification. the resulted findings confirm thattransforming the constant gradient linear function into a saw-tooth pattern leads to periodic repetitions of induced pulsations. Consequently, the attack can be extended indefinitely. Moreover,the attacker gains greater control over attack outcome by utilizing additional parameters introduced through the saw-like functionality, such as frequency and amplitude of saw-function. the study demonstrates two advantageous synchroniza-tion modes with the saw-function for the attacker: (1) modulatingcurrent, voltage, and angular speed in phase with the saw-function, providing a stronger attack but reduced covertness;(2) synchronizing current and voltage patterns with the first sub-harmonic of the saw-function while maintaining fundamental harmonic pace for angular speed modulation, resulting in improved covertness and consistent mechanical strains. Extended pulsation attack signatures collected in current, voltage, and angular speed domains aid in early detection through pattern recognition methods. © 2023 ieee.

With the extension of the service time of the structure and the worse service temperature conditions, the drift problem of high-temperature strain gauges gradually becomes prominent. this research aims to address the issue of the drift of measurement results because of the performance degradation of high-temperature strain gauges, and investigate the drift law under different temperatures considering complex service environments. In this paper, a combination of experimental research and theoretical analysis is utilized to design and conduct the accelerated performance degradation test on high-temperature strain gauges. Based on the result of the test, an accelerated performance degradation model is developed using the Wiener process and Arrhenius model. Finally, estimation curves for the average value and percentile value of the performance parameters of the high-temperature strain gauges are obtained, which demonstrates that the established accelerated performance degradation model can reasonably describe the degradation law. Additionally, the established accelerated performance degradation model enables effective analysis and compensation of gauge drift at any temperature. © the Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

there are numbers of publications addressing control systems for home/Office appliance involving infrared remote controls but there is no such publication/protocol/standard addressing solution for mobile-to-home/office appliance controlling through general packet radio services (GPRS) networks without involving any internet based servers. this paper addresses recent research and development efforts in constructing wireless real-time control system based on server/client architecture through GPRS networks. this paper includes an implementation example designed to control home/Office appliance from anywhere & anytime even when user is not at home/Office. the paper demonstrates a micro java application as example of Real-time control system for Home/Office appliances and addresses the development-time and implementation-time experiences.

the process of infusion of medication automatically is one of the modern methods of giving treatment to patients. the pumping system for the drug is being developed using Raspberry Pi to control the amount of pumping with three syringes and the possibility of controlling it at a specific time, as well as a pumping speed can be controlled. the system is designed by a 3d printer and programmed in Python language with multiple SPO2, and Temperature sensors to offer a high sensitivity to detect any changes in the health status of the human body. the goal of designing and implementing a multi-channel syringe pump is to reduce errors caused by the manual injection of drugs and the mixing of accurate quantities. Also works to organize the treatment after reading the vital activities of the body through the sensors in the proposed device. the developed system is portable, versatile, and reasonably priced.

Augmented Reality allows the user to see the virtual objects superimposed upon or composited with the real world. this paper presented the system design of the Multi-Object Oriented Augmented Reality (MOOAR) system for location-based adaptive mobile learning environment and the scenario study. Moreover, the detailed rationales behind the MOOAR system are also discussed in this paper. the implementation of the MOOAR system is described with the designed scenario. Furthermore, the expected results of the scenario study are shown in this paper to demonstrate the advantages of using Augmented Reality in location-based adaptive mobile learning.

this system captures and analyses the growth of crops based on machine vision technology, controlled by the PLC variables and achieve the objective of saving fertilizer, improving economic efficiency and protecting the environment. It uses shape or texture of the crops and background information contained in the image to classify, builds database algorithms, processes the collecting real-time signal by the internal computer and provides a spray flow rate required by the target area of operation, thus achieves variable spray to the target automatically. As a result, the real-time database of the precision agriculture variable spray is created; the system then receives the target spray flow signals on the intelligent platform and variable sprays with an intelligent spray operation platform speed.

More and more security and privacy issues are arising as new technologies, such as big data and cloud computing, are widely applied in nowadays. For decreasing the privacy breaches in access control system under opening and cross-domain environment. In this paper, we suggest a game and risk based access model for privacy preserving by employing Shannon information and game theory. After defining the notions of Privacy Risk and Privacy Violation Access, a high-level framework of game theoretical risk based access control is proposed. Further, we present formulas for estimating the risk value of access request and user, construct and analyze the game model of the proposed access control by using a multi-stage two player game. there exists sub-game perfect Nash equilibrium each stage in the risk based access control and it's suitable to protect the privacy by limiting the privacy violation access requests. © 2019 ieee.
