In boiler control system, water level is regarded as an important process control parameter to ensure that the boiler could function efficiently. PID controller is the most used controller in controlling the water level. However, conventional PID is unable to control efficiently for the process that have high nonlinearity and high sensitivity. In this project, fuzzy logic controller plus PID control was introduced to the water level control in boiler system. the controller named as self-tuning fuzzy PID (STFPID) controller was proposed in this project to overcome the problem occurred. the controller is implemented in MATLAB and simulated in SIMULINK to analyze the performance analysis between conventional PID controller, FLC and STFPID controller. these controllers will be comparing their performance in terms of system response that includes percent overshoot (% OS), settling time (Ts) and rise time (Tr). Based on the analysis, the STFPID controller produces better performance than the PID and fuzzy logic controller in term of rise time, settling time and overshoot.

A method for secure implementation in the cloud of the basic public key cryptography operation modular exponentiation - is proposed. the method is intended for the rapid implementation of information security functions in remote control systems based on IoT technology. It is theoretically and experimentally proven that by using the results of intermediate calculations from the cloud on an IoT microcontroller terminal, the proposed method allows to increase the security level by several orders of magnitude compared to known methods with the same performance characteristics. © 2023 ieee.

Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), with its advantages of large throughput and low latency, has been widely deployed for applications like cloud storage and distributed machine-learning training. However, in large-scale RDMA networks, congestion caused by incast often leads to severe performance degradation of throughput and latency. Different from the traditional data centers, the novel cloud-native infrastructure brings new challenges to resolve the incast issues: the underlying network fabric/configurations are managed by the cloud vendors and the cloud-native applications running on the virtualized/containerized platform are agnostic to the *** design DySched, a novel middleware to relieve the largescale incast issues of RDMA applications, without any dependencies on network fabric/configuration (topology, flow control, congestion notification) in a cloud-native environment. DySched creatively utilizes the inherent time cost of posting RDMA requests to determine the inflight data allocation of each RDMA connection. DySched thus achieves an ideal full bandwidth utilization and no congestion at the receiver side. DySched has been deployed in two typical clusters in Alibaba Cloud. Results show that DySched improves throughput by 22% to 60% and reduces job completion time by 4% to 67% compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 ieee.

Examining one’s client status in depth, also known by its acronym “Know Your Customer” (KYC), raises a significant problem that needs to be addressed thoroughly. As a result of this, the current paper examines the dynamics of client status and utilized “Blockchain Technology” to developed KYC. Since earlier research was lacking in its capacity to establish a KYC system, which is utilized in the financial sector, principally by banks, to collect information mandated by law regarding their customers in order to provide access to financial services, it is important to note this deficiency. the existing system makes use of databases that are hosted on servers operated by private corporations or by organizations that have their own infrastructures. Traditional KYC systems come with several potential drawbacks, including a single point of failure (SPOF), tedious and time-consuming processes for customers, and high costs to construct one’s own KYC identification and verification system. the aim of this project’s proof-of-concept is to mitigate the effects of the identified issues through the utilization of blockchain technology. the system’s ability to facilitate the data gathering and verification process was enhanced by the provision of previously registered KYC data by individual users through a single click, as well as the cross-checking of KYC data by bank users to verify their users’ information.

In this paper, the thickness control problem of adaptive output feedback for the hydraulic automatic gague control (HAGC) system is studied. Firstly, a mathematical model of HAGC system of the cold rolling mill with time-varying measurement delay, output constraints and unknown external disturbances is established. then time-varying measurement delay is converted into time-varying input delay, and auxiliary systems are constructed to compensate for the impacts of input delay. In addition, an asymmetric barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) is constructed for output constraints to improve transient performance. By utilizing backstepping technique and Lyapunov Krasovskii functional (LKF) stability theorem, it can be obtained that stability of the original system with adaptive output feedback controller and the auxiliary system separately. the proposed controller can ensure that all signals are semi-global ultimately uniformly bounded. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. © 2023 ieee.

the regulation and stabilization of the power grid requires various system services that have been provided so far primarily by conventional power plants. With the future shutdown of coal-fired and nuclear power plants, investigations into the provision of these services will become all the more important in order to ensure the safe operation of the grid. Currently, photovoltaic and wind can only provide limited so-called control power, so that new methods such as the regulation of large consumers will become interesting. Adapting the electricity requirements of consumers to the current grid situation has a comparable effect to the provision of additional balancing power on the generation side. Some consumers like data centers can provide primary control power at high speed. In this paper we present how data centers can autonomously support grid stabilization with minimal impact on the daily operation. Additional benefits include an higher efficiency and the ability to take advantage of any future financial bonuses by regulation authorities or electricity suppliers. © 2020 ieee.

In this paper, we study model-based event-triggered control (MB-ETC) for a kind of switched discrete-time systems composed of stabilizable and unstabilizable subsystems. A nominal dynamic model is constructed at the feedback control part so that it can provide an estimate of the system state for system input even the overall switched discrete-time system is running in open-loop. Since the information provided to the model is transmitted over the network, an event-triggered mechanism (ETM) is taken into account to reduce network data transmission. Stability conditions for the augmented closed-loop system are derived by using multi-Lyapunov function method and average dwell time (ADT) switching strategy and given in linear matrix inequality form. We also give the design of control gains. Finally, a numerical example is provided to verify the validity of the proposed method. © 2023 ieee.

Paper reports on the evolution of agent-based simulation and control system called MAST. the system was designed originally for agent-based simulation of product routing but over the years matured into a generic purpose manufacturing simulation and control tool featuring real-time connectivity to legacy PLCs, ontology-based dynamic scheduling, advanced diagnostics, etc. Paper describes MAST architecture, behavior of agents and capabilities for dynamic reconfiguration. In addition, two examples of application of MAST to real problems from manufacturing domain are given. the latest trend of exploitation of semantic technologies in industrial agents is discussed. © 2012 ieee.

Oxygen saturation (SpO2) is a critical parameter used to measure the amount of oxygen bound to hemoglobin in the bloodstream. Continuous monitoring and accurate records on the patient’s SPO2 are crucial to assist doctors in assessing the effectiveness of treatment and the need for supplemental oxygen. therefore, this project proposes the development of a pulse oximeter device using dual RFID communication to enable continuous, real-time, and wireless data recording. the reading of SPO2 can vary in various situations. the evaluation to investigate significant factors that could affect the accuracy of SpO2 readings is carried out using the Design of Experiment and Analysis of Variance. the statistical analysis showed that the types of fingers and nail substances are the main factors that influence the accuracy of SpO2. the main effect plot shows that the SPO2 reading on the nail with oil substance and thumb gives the highest accuracy compared to other types of substance and types of fingers, respectively.

this paper aims to deal with the delay compensation problem for linear systems in the presence of three distributed input delays. A fresh state variable is instituted so as to design the state-based feedback controllers. Whereafter, truncated predictor feedback (TPF) approaches are built to make up for the three distributed input delays. It is displayed that the original system possessing three distributed input delays can be stabilized via the TPF controller. Additionally to demonstrating the efficacy of the built controller via an example. © 2023 ieee.
