Traditional way of communication on the Internet is human (or human-made content) to another human. Another frequent alternative is device-made content to human or another device, which is often referred to as the Internet of things. this paper focuses on Lite whole design of embedded telemetry device based on microcontroller system, which uses Hypertext Transfer Protocol for remote data presentation. Proposed solution also allows for data logging and processing. For added reliability, solution proposed in this paper is equipped with uninterrupted power supply module. this solution can also be used as main platform for developing Internet of things devices. Networked customer devices provide a powerful, flexible and cost-efficient implementation environment for cyber-physical system applications but due to their inherent unreliability can directly support limited dependability only. Since in such an environment non-critical functions can collect, process and prepare comprising data which supports the adaptation and optimization so that new and significantly enriched medical functions can be realized, we envisage Big Dependable systems (BDS), a corresponding upcoming class of systems. Major steps towards their systematic development utilize approaches for communication and dynamic configuration in service-oriented systems, for automated monitoring and repair, and for in-built fault tolerance. We report on respective approaches examined and on a set of pilot applications before the vision of BDS is outlined before that background. the pilot applications employ cyber-physical systems in order to support rehabilitation training sessions which are remotely supervised and take place as well at home as in a virtual reality. this paper presents a new current-mode active element. the idea is based on the Current-Controlled Current-Differencing Transconductance Amplifier (CCCDTA) known from the literature. the modifications introduced to the original CCCDTA circuit made it possible to obtain a component with very wide area of applications. the main parameters of the circuit (resistances, transconductance) can be electrically controlled. thanks to these features the modified CCCDTA can be used as the basic building block of a continuous time Field programmable Analog Array (FPAA).

this paper presents the methodology for performance analysis of real-time embedded systems specified on system level. We developed aspect-oriented extensions to the SystemC environment, that enable to include profiling code, as well as code modeling execution time, into the system specification. First, the specification woven with profile aspects is simulated in target environment and information about execution times is saved in a file. Next, the same specification is woven with simulation aspects, that use the information gained in previous step to simulate execution times. In this way accurate timed model of the system is obtained automatically.

this article deals with methods research for synchronization pulses utilization provided by some GPS units for measurement synchronization. Initially there are problems of GPS described. Further there are drawn out realized prototypes of measurement systems based on microcontrollers where is expected milliseconds measurement accuracy followed by description GPS synchronized time source implementation in logic gate arrays (FPGA), which allows accurate measurement of microseconds and better. this article describes the theoretical premises and selected measured properties of realized solutions. In conclusion there are prepared experiments described which should be realized during research of this issue.

the work concerns an approach to the multi-threading and multitasking problem. the main research objective of the time predictable real-time systems is identified. A brief summary of the related works is given. Idea of thread interleaving is described and the architecture of the proposed time predictable embedded system is presented. the solution of the dynamic interleave controller of threads (DICT) with dynamically modified (reconfigured) priorities of tasks (threads) is analyzed. the paper investigates the model of the system and gives its simulation results. the entire system is synthesized in the hardware structure. Some experiments with that emphasize advantages of the proposed hardware implementation

the application of FPGAs (Field programmable Gate Array) became an important issue in designing electronic systems. Also, the flexibility and performance offered by reconfigurable computing shorts the development time required for implementing digital signal processing solutions using FPGAs. In this paper, we present original hardware designs of the BPSK and QPSK systems, using Matlab/Simulink environment, System Generator and Xilinx ISE, in order to verify the functionality of the systems in hardware which speeds up the simulations. the capabilities of the Spartan 3E board are also compared with previous reported results.

Design of the prototype embedded sensors system for biomedical data acquisition and analysis. It introduces to issues of measuring vital functions and processing data in real-time and suggestion of mobile embedded system for measuring biometric data. the main aim of the research work is the implementation of a prototype sensor system. Data captured from the body of a person are measured and transmitted to the superior system in real time, where they are processed, evaluated and archived. To transfer data to the nearest superior system is used Bluetooth interface.

the rigorous digital design of embedded Reconfigurable Logic Controller starts from hierarchical concurrent state machine model (HCSM), which has been formally derived from modular control interpreted Petri net. the colored tokens, arcs, places and transitions distinguish nested State Machine Modules. Colored coordination places, called doubles facilitate effective and flexible Petri net state encoding. the rule based on a textual logic description of the Petri net is accepted by the hardware description language VHDL and easily mapped into Field programmable Gate Array macrocells. Several combinatorial procedures in formal digital design of logic controller are supported by formal reasoning in the monotone Gentzen calculus.

To reduce hardware requirements and costs recent applications apply sensorless methods to drive electrical machines. However, such methods have a high demand on CPU resources, reducing the possibility to integrate further applications into the system. Multi-core architectures potentially provide the necessary performance for joint integration of sensorless driving methods and additional, typically outsourced, applications. However, such parallel execution cart induce cross-core interference which. can corrupt the time-critical execution of the drive controller and reduce the overall system performance. In this paper we evaluate a speed control application for a sensorless drive and quantify its sensitivity to cross-core interferences. this allows estimating the influence of genuine parallelism on the sensorless drive functions. the same applies to the performance when integrating high-level functions into the same system. the evaluation is carried out on a practically oriented multi-core platform with safety features to directly apply the results for practical use. It is shown that the sensorless algorithm suffers from a maximum slowdown of 6.8% while the frequency of the speed control can he increased by up to 75%.
