MapReduce is emerging as an important programming model for data-intensive application. Adapting this model to desktop grid would allow taking advantage of the vast amount of computing power and distributed storage to execute new range of application able to process enormous amount of data. In 2010, we have presented the first implementation of MapReduce dedicated to internet Desktop Grid based on the BitDew middleware. In this paper, we present new optimizations to BitDew-MapReduce (BitDew-MR): aggressive task backup, intermediate result backup, task re-execution mitigation and network failure hiding. We propose a new experimental framework which emulates key fundamental aspects of internet Desktop Grid. Using the framework, we compare BitDew-MR and the open-source Hadoop middleware on Grid5000. Our experimental results show that 1) BitDew-MR successfully passes all the stress-tests of the framework while Hadoop is unable to work in typical wide-area network topology which includes PC hidden behind firewall and NAT;2) BitDew-MR outperforms Hadoop performances on several aspects: scalability, fairness, resilience to node failures, and network disconnections.

In this paper we present the PL-LAB, which is a Polish nationwide network test bed involving several research and academia institutions. PL-LAB was designed to facilitate research in the area of Future internet carried out within the Future internet Engineering (FIE) project. It allows researchers to create virtual laboratories, with guaranteed resources and direct physical access to laboratory equipment. this way, PL-LAB enables running, among others, experiments that deal with virtualization, which is the base concept for the FIE proposal of Future internet architecture.

Advances in technology have attracted more e-banking users in an e-Commerce context. Measuring service quality enhances delivering superior services to achieve competitive advantages. Studies on internet service quality provide an adequate framework for measuring web site interactivity. However, no consensus exists to date regarding electronic service quality dimensions. Antecedents of service quality are better conceived than their components in an offline context. However, no study has proven a similar phenomenon in an online context. the research findings of antecedence constructs (system quality, information quality, and cognitive trust) affect e-SQ. Consequence constructs (perceived value, affective trust, satisfaction and loyalty) withthe mediator of e-SQ are also examined.

E-mail system is one of the most popular and easy-to-use communication tools on the internet. In these days, many people have more than one e-mail address. While automatic e-mail forwarding mechanism is useful under such situation, it has a serious problem during forwarding procedures. If user changes his/her own e-mail address that is a forwarding destination address and leaves forward settings untouched on the original destination e-mail server, then forwarded e-mails lose their way and cause a pile of error notification e-mails. this is often the case with some kind of e-mail addresses such as for mobile phones. Since an error notification e-mail only goes to the original sender and administrators of related e-mail servers, the original receiver would not be aware of the error. this paper describes a system to solve this problem.

In this paper we describe the IIP System designed, implemented and currently tested in the frame of the Polish national project entitled "Future internet Engineering" 1 (in Polish "Inzynieria internetu Przysz"- IIP). the IIP system uses virtualized network infrastructure that allows to set a number of, named, Parallel internets essentially differing in solutions for the data and control planes. More precisely, we design three Parallel internets: (1) IPv6 QoS that basically explores Diff Serv and NGN architectures and uses TCP/IP, (2) Content Aware Network (CAN) specially designed for efficient content delivery, and (3) Data Streams Switching (DSS) for handling constant rate traffic with strong QoS requirements. For the IIP System we design a novel network infrastructure, which is based on the virtualization of the network elements (links and nodes). Such approach is on the line withthe expectations of the network infrastructure for the Future internet. In the paper we mainly focus on the system architecture, Parallel internets and some aspects of network virtualization.
