A phase-only adaptive processing based on direct data domain using hybrid genetic algorithms is presented. Considering practical application of the complex weight requires complex hardware system, the new algorithm phase-only adaptive processing based on direct data domain is presented to reduce the complexity requirement of system implementation. then a hybrid genetic algorithms combined genetic algorithm with local search algorithm is used to solve the phase-only adaptive weights. Experimental results show that the phase-only weights solved by a hybrid genetic algorithm not only form deep null in the direction of interferences, but also estimate the magnitude of the target signal accurately. the proposed algorithm achieves the purpose of interference suppression and detecting targets, as well as reduces the complexity of hardware implementation of the system greatly for engineer implement easily.

Wide-band radar, whose echo signal requires a lot of space for storage withthe development of ultra wide band(UWB) technology, if using the conventional Nyquist sampling, however, the theory of compressive sensing (CS) enables the reconstruction of sparse signals from a small set of measurements, whereas the key point is the selection of the measurement matrix and the reconstruction algorithm. A method for radar processing based on CS is proposed in this paper. the measurement matrix is selected by random filter, which effectively reduces the number of non-zero elements in the measurement matrix. the simple Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) algorithm is chosen to reconstruct signal with less data storage and lower computational complexity. Finally, simulations are taken on testing the proposed method on LFM signals, and the results are provided to verify the performance of this method.

the paper proposes a novel approach that a new likelihood function is derived from observation data after filtered with eigenfilters, and hybrid gravitational search algorithm (H-GSA) optimization is collaboratively applied to maximum likelihood (ML) estimation of the direction of arrival (DOA) parameters of multiple signals impinging on a sensor array. this method prevents the ML estimation performances from deteriorating severely where the angular separation between signal sources is small and the SNR / sample size are low. Simultaneously due to the use of H-GSA, we make direct maximization of likelihood realistic in practice. In order to examine the performances of the proposed method, four kinds of situations are designed. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method offers significant performance enhancement at low signal to noise ratios, and hybrid GSA stochastic search technique is therefore efficient and reliable.

A key challenge in developing conversational systems is fusing streams of information provided by different sensors to make inferences about the behaviors and goals of people. Such systems can leverage visual and audio information collected through cameras and microphone arrays, including the location of various people, their focus of attention, body pose, the sound source direction, prosody, and speech recognition results. In this paper, we explore discriminative learning techniques for making accurate inferences on the problems of speaker, addressee and overlap detection in multiparty human-computer dialog. the focus is on finding ways to leverage within- and across-signal temporal patterns and to automatically construct representations from the raw streams that are informative for the inference problem. We present a novel extension to traditional decision trees which allows them to incorporate and model temporal signals. We contrast these methods with more traditional approaches where a human expert manually engineers relevant temporal features. the proposed approach performs well even with relatively small amounts of training data, which is of practical importance as designing features that are task dependent is time consuming and not always possible.

Since the amplitude and delay of receiving signal could correspondingly change due to varying of the dimension, and material of targets, permittivity of background. So, in this paper, we present a new framework integrated Generalized Hough Transform (GHT) with neural network to reconstruct their non-linear relationship and implement targets location and parameter inversion. the results based on simulated data demonstrate the high accuracy.
