Non Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is a promising technique for fifth generation (5G) wireless cellular networks with the aim to achieve capacity goals and better performance. Generally, power domain NOMA is tested for two user equipment (UE) based systems. Capacity improvement of NOMA system with accurate power allocation is a key challenge. To meet this challenge, different techniques are been introduced. In this paper, basic NOMA model with two users is extended for multiple users to achieve higher capacity. We implement NOMA with three and four UE's, where superposition coding is introduced at the transmitter side and Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) at the receiving end. With increased number of NOMA users, a crucial problem is to accurately allocate transmit powers for all the users. A main contribution of this paper is the selection of accurate power allocation and modulation schemes based on BER performance. Furthermore, the proposed multiuser NOMA scheme is simulated in 5G path loss model namely NYUSIM Channel Model. this paper provides foundation of accurate power allocation mechanisms for NOMA based systems in the future. © 2019 IEEE.

Spectral efficiency (SE) is crucial for wireless networks due to the scarcity of wireless spectrum and the ever increasing demand for high data rates. A prominent solution for SE is cognitive radio (CR) as it facilitates spectrum sharing between multiple users. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is another technique for improving SE, which allows multiple users to access the same spectral resource at the same time. Together, NOMA and CRs have immense potential for enabling highly spectrally efficient communication. In this paper, NOMA in power domain has been considered in downlink for an overlay CR network. In power domain NOMA, power allocation (PA) for user signal multiplexing is a critical process. A novel heuristic PA method, called k-scaled PA, has been proposed and the symbol error rate (SER) performance of the users in the considered CR network for the proposed method has been extensively evaluated. this PA approach is robust against interference generated due to NOMA and reduces the information overhead for a network with a large number of users. Up to 5 users have been accommodated in the network using the proposed method.

With the advent of IoT devices and exponential growth of nodes on the internet, computer networks are facing new challenges, with one of the more important ones being DDoS attacks. In this paper, new features to detect initiation and termination of DDoS attacks are investigated. the method to extract these features is devised with respect to some openflowbased switch capabilities. these features provide us with a higher resolution to view and process packet count entropies, thus improving DDoS attack detection capabilities. Although some of the technical assumptions are based on SDN technology and openflow protocol, the methodology can be applied in other networking paradigms as well.

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) decoupled architecture provides greater network visibility for network operators allowing effective resource management and enhances networks security. However, the SDN centralized architecture, the communication channels between planes and the limited resources can make SDN systems vulnerable against DoS/DDoS attacks. To have a better understanding of the attack dynamics and lead to future mitigation techniques, modeling DoS/DDoS attacks for SDN is necessary. the main goal of modeling is to provide i) better understanding about the attack effect, and consequently ii) more effective mitigation techniques. Specially when DDoS attacks costs oscillated between $25,000 and $249,000 for %58 of companies around the world in 2018 [1]. We propose a model for the low-rate (shrew) stealthy DDoS attacks, which exploit vulnerabilities in the TCP's re-transmission time out mechanism (RTO). We found that these attacks are able to target the southbound TCP channel, used by OpenFlow and P4 protocol, in SDN.

Analysis of the state of development of research on the protection of valuable scientific and educational databases, library resources, information centers, publishers show the importance of information security, especially in corporate information networks and systems for data exchange. Corporate library networks include dozens and even hundreds of libraries for active information exchange, and they (libraries) are equipped with information security tools to varying degrees. the purpose of the research is to create effective methods and tools to protect the databases of the scientific and educational resources from unauthorized access in libraries and library networks using fuzzy logic methods. As a model and solution method, a fuzzy model of second-type correspondences is proposed, which makes it possible to comprehensively solve the problem of identifying threats in the event of a situation, as well as provide recommendations on how to eliminate them. For the creation of a knowledge database, experts are involved who determine the functions of belonging to "Situation-threat-Methods of eliminating threats". the research results are used in the expert system the corporate network of electronic libraries to protect scientific and educational information from unauthorized access.

In this paper, we propose a physical layer aided authentication and key agreement (PL-AKA) protocol for massive Internet of things (IoT) scenarios. Conventional AKA protocols such as evolved packet system AKA used in long-term evolution (LTE) systems may suffer from congestions in core networks by the large signaling overhead as the number of IoT devices increases. In order to reduce the signaling overhead, the physical layer challenge response authentication is employed in the proposed PL-AKA so that the IoT devices can be locally authenticated in a base station. through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, we demonstrate that the proposed protocol significantly reduces the signaling overhead while maintaining competitive authentication performance by taking advantage of both physical layer authentication and cryptography-based authentication.

5G has a very flexible network architecture due to virtualization and will come with various customisations based on different use cases. 5G also promises to provide intelligent networks with high bandwidth and low latency. One of the tradeoffs for this is the complexity of network monitoring and resource management of 5G; making availability, reliability and performance a challenge. the adoption of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) concepts ensure availability of network data and flexibility in architectural decisions for 5G. Because of the availability of data and advanced computing capabilities usage of ML (Machine Learning)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be envisaged in the control and management of 5G networks by predicting the load on the network. this article proposes a solution to integrate time-series based predictive analytics with 5G Core and shows a comparative study between two Time Series Forecasting Models-AutoRegressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Face-book Prophet. Fraunhofer FOKUS Open5GCore is used as the reference 5G testbed toolkit for validating the proposal.

With the advent of digitized music, many online streaming companies such as Spotify have capitalized on a listener's need for a common stream platform. An essential component of such a platform is the recommender systems that suggest the constituent user base, related tracks, albums and artists. In order to sustain such a recommender system, labeling data, to indicate which genre it belongs to is essential. Most recent academic publications that deal with music genre classification focus on the use of deep neural networks developed and applied within the music genre classification domain. this paper attempts to use some of the highly sophisticated techniques, such as Hierarchical Attention networks that exist within the text classification domain in order to classify tracks of different genres. In order to do this, the music is first separated into different tracks (drums, vocals, bass and accompaniment) and converted into symbolic text data. Due to the sophistication of the distributed machine learning system present in this paper, it is capable of classifying contemporary genres with impressive accuracy, when comparing the results with that of competing classifiers. It is also argued that through the use text classification, the expert knowledge which musicians and people involved with musicological techniques, can be attracted to improving recommender systems within the music information retrieval research domain.
