Dynamic spectrum sharing is a new technology that enables LTE and 5G to be used in parallel in the same frequency band. In other words, it is an activation mechanism that allows 5G NR and 4G LTE to coexist while sharing the same frequency spectrum. In the long run, DSS allows mobile network operators to re-use their frequency bands in order to provide increased 5G coverage. In this paper we measure the effect of interference for a DL 5G system using two different mobile terminals. the main purpose of this study is to compare the DL interference of an adaptive system model for 5G mobile communications applications. © 2022 IEEE.

A successful strategy of learning systems, whether artificial or biological, is construction of consistent conceptual models of sensory environments. An essential question in both the theory and practical engineering of learning systems is how successful learning with data of increasing complexity can be achieved without massive prior domain knowledge. In this work the question was approached by application of generative neural learning systems of generic, incrementally evolvable architecture with sets of visual data of increasing complexity. It was demonstrated that successful generative learning with visual data, from simple geometric shapes to realistic images such as handwritten digits was possible by incremental change of a small number of architectural parameters, such as the size of the latent layer and sparsity constraint, with an effective two-dimensional learning space. Generalizing the results obtained with evolvable neural generative architectures, an approach of evolutionary learning was proposed pointing a direction of research that could connect sensory data with successful learning models, and offering insights into exceptional effectiveness of neural networks in modeling complex sensory environments. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Video games are becoming a part of the lives of many, many people. they are able to evoke a wide range of emotions, from joy and excitement to fear and empathy, creating deep immersion and memorable impressions for players. How do they manage it and is it possible to use the emotions themselves in the game itself? this article presents the concept of developing a system of dynamic procedural content generation (PCG) with game mechanics of interaction using emotions based on methods affective computing. To achieve this goal, the article developed an emotion recognition system based on fuzzy logic. And PCG performed by Artificial Neural networks. In the video game industry, affective computing methods, such as interaction with the expression of emotions, can bring great benefits, since the emotional involvement of the player is very important. this will make a new contribution to the diversity of human-computer interaction. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. Recent advancements in deep learning have shown promising results in various clinical image analysis tasks. Among the most commonly performed radiological examinations, chest radiographs play a crucial role and have been extensively investigated for various applications. the availability of large, publicly accessible chest X-ray datasets in recent years has sparked research interest. Pneumonia diagnosis typically relies on the analysis of X-ray radiographs by highly trained experts, a process that can be time-consuming and prone to disagreements among radiologists. In this study, we utilized a dataset of 5,856 high-resolution frontal-view chest X-ray images for training, validation, and testing of our model. the proposed model achieved an impressive accuracy of 96.6%, sensitivity of 98.1%, specificity of 92.4% and precision of 97.2%. these results demonstrate the excellent performance of the model in accurately identifying pneumonia cases and normal cases. © 2023 IEEE.

In the era of digital transformation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has emerged as a pivotal technology for enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability in logistics. the primary goal of this paper is to explore the potential of RPA in optimizing logistics processes, specifically focusing on its impact on energy efficiency, cost reduction, and overall operational performance. the research aims to identify and address the challenges and opportunities presented by RPA, offering a structured framework for its implementation in large-scale logistics operations. By automating routine and repetitive tasks, RPA reduces human error, accelerates process execution, and significantly lowers energy consumption in both warehouse and transportation logistics. the integration of RPA with existing logistics systems, such as warehouse management systems and transportation management systems, facilitates seamless operations and real-time data analysis. the scientific novelty of the study lies in the development of a comprehensive framework for integrating RPA into logistics systems, highlighting not only the immediate operational benefits but also long-term sustainability and efficiency improvements. this paper also provides insights into the best practices associated with RPA deployment in logistics, supported by case studies and quantitative analysis. © 2024 the Authors.

the advancements in sensing technologies and AI algorithms have opened up a wide range of possibilities for developing applications to meet the needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Sign language plays a vital role in the lives of people with hearing and speaking disabilities. this research aims to explore digital image processing and machine learning methods for efficiently building a sign language dataset and creating a sign language interface system. the proposed system utilizes a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to analyze and interpret hand gestures and poses, converting them into natural language. the developed CNN model specifically focuses on improving the accuracy of predicting the American Sign Language alphabet. Despite variations in dataset conditions and size, the model achieved an exceptional accuracy rate of 98.73%. Additionally, it demonstrated a low loss value of 0.0539, indicating its robust performance. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, we extract and simulate traffic patterns from more than 9,000 base station cells installed in different metropolitan areas per the need that the service provider must comprehend and forecast mobile traffic in large scale cellular networks to govern and manage base station placement, load balancing, and network planning mechanisms. To accomplish this, we create, implement, and assess a method in which cells are first categorized by their point of interest and then clustered based on their temporal distribution in each region. the proposed model has been tested using real world 5G mobile traffic datasets collected over 31 weeks in various cities. Our proposed model is capable of predicting mobile traffic patterns up to 2 weeks in advance and outperforms the naive baseline method by 2.5% overall. © 2023 IEEE.

the research identifies current innovation systems according to their theoretical and methodological bases. the method used in this work is guided by the review of the literature, interpreted from the foundations of hermeneutics. the results show that the theoretical bases of innovation systems have evolved over time, according to schools of thought, epoch and emerging models co-created by the new era of empirical knowledge, and technology has been responsible for the volatile changes it has had to face, while methodologies are subscribed by innovation in human talent, and adoption of technology, which has sometimes generated barriers to its appropriation for its proper use. the reported findings allow us to conclude that innovation systems favor a sustainable approach to organizations to achieve an economy of scale with emphasis on the implementation of technologies and communication, based on optimization, systematization in the use of resources, elements, and capabilities. © 2024 the Authors. this paper proposes a LoRa (Long Range) scheme based on improved index modulation to address the problems of inadequate system capacity, low data rate and poor Bit Error Ratio (BER) performance of index modulation-based LoRa communication systems. the scheme firstly embeds one bit in the conventional LoRa symbol to achieve slope shift keying modulation, then transmits the index combination of the slope shift keying symbol based on the index set obtained through the index mapper, and finally the optimal non-coherent detection algorithm at the receiver is given to realize the system capacity enhancement scheme. Simulation results show that the spectral efficiency, data rate and BER performance of the proposed scheme are better than the existing index-modulated LoRa scheme under the constant modulation bandwidth. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper studies the coverage probability of the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite satellite communication systems with a directional beamforming. the larger beamwidth of the satellite increases the beam coverage, but the network interference increases. On the other hand, the smaller beamwidth reduces the beam coverage, but the network interference becomes smaller and the desired power can be improved. thus, the optimal beamwidth control is necessary to maximize the performance. To address it, we model the satellite networks with Poisson point process and analyze the coverage probability as a function of the beamwidth with stochastic geometry. With some numerical examples, we investigate how various system parameters such as altitude and satellite density affect on the optimal beamwidth and demonstrate that the optimal control of the beamwidth of the satellites can maximize the coverage probability. © 2023 IEEE.
