Networked Control systems are used for controlling remote plants via shared data communicationnetworks such as Ethernet. these systems have found many applications in industrial, medical and space sciences fields. However there are some drawbacks in these systems, which make them challenging to design. One of the most common problems in these systems is the stochastic time delay. Packet switching in internet brings about the randomly varying delay time and consequently makes these systems instable. Convenient controllers such as PID and PI type controllers which are just match with a constant delay time could not be a solution for these systems. Fuzzy logic controllers due to their none-linear characteristic which is compatible withthese systems are potentially a wise option for their control purpose. Fuzzy logic controller could become adaptive by means of neural networks and beneficial to deal withthe varying time delay problem. Further, they do have more capabilities to tackle packet dropouts and dynamically system variables. this paper introduces a novel control method which addresses the time delay varying problem effectively. this novel method suggests an online adaptive fuzzy logic controller which have been controlled and adapted through the neural network. this designed controller is applied to an AC 400 W servo motor as a remote plant in order to position control it via Ethernet. the measurement of round-trip time (RTT) is used to estimate the online time delay as a parameter in online adaptive fuzzy logic controller. the rule-based table of designed fuzzy logic controller rotates in relation to this estimated time delay. the value of rotating is obtained from a trained neural network. Control, audio and video signals are circulated within a vehicle using wired and wireless networks. Optical Wireless (OW) technology has started to be used in intra-satellite links and aircraft, since it offers high bandwidth and resistance to electromagnetic interference (EM). As more electronic systems are being within a vehicle, EM exists, especially in the engine compartment. thus it is an attractive proposition to use OW in cars. the last decade has seen the emergence of the concept of converged IP networks, which make use of a multitude of heterogeneous core and access networks. We have also witnessed the proliferation of numerous multimedia services such as audio/video streaming, VoIP, or IPTV. the users' satisfaction and the perceived quality are being recognized as crucial for the successful provisioning of these services over such networks. User perceived quality has become known as Quality of Experience (QoE) and standard architectural solutions have been proposed, which made recommendations as to where and how to estimate QoE at the user level. this paper introduces the reader to this important concept. the recommended metrics and approaches proposed for QoE estimations of media services over IP networks are concisely described. We also discuss the QoE challenges in converged networks.

Cooperative synchronization of a multi-hop wireless communicationnetworks is investigated in this paper. First, a basic and typical dual-hop network which consists of coupled chaotic systems is discussed, and synchronization has been achieved via the nonlinear integral control method. On the basis of this model, the study of the cooperative synchronization is extended to the multi-hop networks. Two network topologies, namely the MESH network structure and the MOORE neighborhood structure, are considered. Also, the nonlinear feedback integral method is used as the control law. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of modeling the communicationnetworks and the perfect synchronization of the multi-hop network consisting of chaotic nodes.

An energy efficient routing protocol is the major concern in Wireless Sensor networks (WSNs). In this survey paper, we present energy efficient hierarchical routing protocols, developed from conventional LEACH routing protocol. Main focus of our study is how these extended protocols work in order to increase the life time and how quality routing protocol are improved for WSNs. Furthermore, this paper also highlights some of the issues faced by LEACH and also explains how these issues are tackled by extended versions of LEACH. Dataflow process networks (DPN) have been proposed as a programming model for distributed parallel systemsthat have communication paths with unpredictable latencies. the purely data-driven execution of DPNs does not require a global coordination and therefore allows one to easily map DPNs to many parallel hardware and software architectures with distributed memories. Problems due to shared memory communication like data races do not exist since the communication is done via point-to-point FIFO buffers between the process nodes. On the other hand, this distributed programming model leads to high communication costs if large data structures like arrays have to be communicated between nodes. this paper addresses the reduction of the communication costs due to arrays that are processed by -- and therefore sent between -- DPN nodes. the presented methods are given at a high level of abstraction and do not impose specific constraints on the used target architectures. Our experimental results show clearly the advantage of our approach compared to the standard message passing between the nodes.

Performance analyses, using a modified Chernoff bound on the bit error rate, are given for an optically preamplified digital pulse position modulation (DPPM) free-space optical (FSO) communication system impaired by pointing error and atmospheric turbulence combined, in addition to the amplified spontaneous emission noise arising from the optical amplification. An improvement of about 7-9 dB (depending on the turbulence level) can be potentially achieved using the DPPM scheme over an equivalent on off keyed nonreturn-to-zero based FSO system.
