In this paper, firstly, a novel dynamic event-triggered adjustable control protocol is proposed, which can be distributed, centralized and mixed by tuning one parameter, where the dynamic event-triggered mechanism includes many existing (dynamic and static) event-triggering mechanisms as special cases. then with this control protocol, we deal with the leader-follower consensus problem for multi-agent systems. It is shown that the multi-agent system do not exhibit Zeno behavior, and can achieve leader-follower consensus as well as under this control protocol. Finally, an algorithm is provided to avoid continuous communication when the dynamic event-triggering mechanism is implemented. In addition, a numerical example is given to illustrate the validity of the obtained results and the advantage of the proposed control protocol.

the ability to transmit information from one point to another using as low received power as possible has a fundamental impact in many contexts, including covert communication, energy-efficient networks, and communication over channels with extreme loss. An immediate application is deep-space exploration, in which there has been significant interest in moving from microwaves to optical signals due to considerably lower diffraction loss and larger bandwidth. At a given data rate and transmit power, systems with the highest photon information efficiency (PIE), defined as the number of information bits extracted per received photon, can bridge the largest loss. We report here an experimental demonstration, using large-order pulse-position modulation and superconducting single-photon detectors, of a record PIE of 14.5 (17.8) bits per incident (detected) photon after 87.5 dB of channel loss. this corresponds to 8.84 zeptojoules, or 0.069 photons, per bit at 1550 nm. the record result was achieved using a new low-complexity transmitter design that produces short optical pulses on-demand with an average extinction ratio exceeding 90 dB per time slot. To our knowledge, this is the most sensitive optical detection system ever demonstrated for high-path-loss optical communication.

From the perspective of distributed theory, there is no effective learning method combining mobile communication technology with digital learning. therefore, this paper designs an intelligent college English learning system based on mobile platform. Based on the analysis of the theory of distributed cognitive learning and the basic model of mobile learning, the physical framework of college English mobile learning is provided. then the design is based on eclipse IDE, the server is based on J2EE technology and MVC mode, and the client adopts Android SDK. According to learners' knowledge level and Ebbinghaus forgetting curve rule, the intelligent recommendation module can push learners' learning content personalized. the final running test results of the system prove the feasibility of the system, and it can provide the mobile learning function with stable running, perfect function and friendly interaction. © 2022 IEEE

Recommender systems are a highly active area in research and development that has taken advantage of the recent progress in artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms. Collaborative Filtering approaches have utilized neural networks for modelling complex nonlinear relationships regarding the interactions of users and items, with numerous commercial platforms utilizing such systems for providing personalized recommendations to their users. In this work, we present the evolution of the field and the most influential approaches, from simpler neural network models expanding matrix factorization techniques, to increasingly more complex architectures. We report notable applications and highlight key differences between research and production settings. At the same time, we note that the evaluation approaches followed by the literature vary, and we underline the significance of testing models during production with methods such as A/B tests and the measurement of key performance indicators, aside from offline testing.

While the lockdown significantly reduced face-to-face meetings, video conferencing platforms began to be used widely to leverage different sectors, such as academia. In this scope, scientific events such as seminars and conferences were migrating to the online environment. However, online events usually do not dedicate time to group activities, decreasing the chances of building academic and professional partnerships and decreasing social interactions and networking opportunities that naturally occur in face-to-face events. this paper aims to present a series of dynamics carried out using Zoom and Mentimeter platforms within the scope of the "ehSemi" conference to create interaction between people and encourage potential scientific networking, which happens in face-to-face conferences and is significantly lost online. Furthermore, the paper discusses the role of timing, and moderators, among other essential factors that boost the social components in the online environment. Monitoring weather conditions is essential in optimizing industries and consumptions and preventing catastrophic accidents. Recently, portable weather stations have taken the central part of weather forecasting centers. this paper's fundamental purpose is to explain a new idea to make these portable weather stations consume less energy in their operational cases. Hence, this will lead to a considerable saving in total energy consumption. Fulfilling this purpose using NFC (Near-Field communication) will clearly distinguish this paper from others. First, the primary meteorological sensors installed in portable weather stations will be discussed. then the importance of weather monitoring gets mentioned. the prior knowledge and bases of the following parts of the paper will be defined, like NFC, renewable energy sources, and machine learning definitions. the last part is about the procedure that describes how NFC achieves a more optimized network consisting of weather stations. Also, the advantages and disadvantages of this method will be noticed at the end.

Today, the tourism industry is significantly impacted by mobile applications leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to enhance tourists' experiences before, during, and after their visits. this technological convergence has given rise to Smart Tourism Destinations (STDs). However, efficiently integrating these functionalities into mobile apps poses a major challenge, leading to the emergence of chatbots. Companies like IBM, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon offer tools such as Watson, Bot Framework, Dialogflow, and Amazon Lex for their development. Nevertheless, creating chatbots remains intricate, demanding expertise in software development and AI, along with associated costs related to NLP service providers. Additionally, employing an appropriate modeling language is crucial for designing a chatbot. At this juncture, the concepts of software factories and Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) become indispensable. these innovative approaches provide solutions for addressing these complex challenges. Software factories automate the development process, expediting chatbot creation while ensuring consistency. Simultaneously, DSLs furnish tools for accurately modeling and articulating the specific requirements of smart tourism, simplifying the development of tailor-made chatbots suited to this domain. this article introduces a model-driven approach for a DSL aimed at offering an abstract, high-level representation of the various aspects of chatbots within the context of an intelligent tourism mobile application. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. the efficient use of spectrum and energy in cellular communication systems has become extremely important. However, it is not easy to increase spectral efficiency and energy efficiency together, as they are in conflict with each other. In this paper, spectral and energy efficiencies trade-off optimizations have been carried out in the sample of massive multi-input multi-output system, which is known to be successful in spectral efficiency and energy efficiency issues. the multi-objective version of the artificial bee colony algorithm has been applied to the problem, and the results have been compared with the other intelligent optimization techniques, the multi-objective genetic algorithm, multi-objective differential evolution algorithm and multi-objective bat algorithm. the evaluations have shown that the multi-objective artificial bee colony algorithm is more successful than other algorithms compared. © 2022 IEEE.

One of the most common types of cancer in the world is skin cancer. Early detection and adequate diagnosis are crucial for effective treatment. In this paper, a novel method is proposed for automated extraction and clustering of skin lesions using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. Initially, the images are preprocessed to enhance their quality. Further, a PSO-based algorithm is employed for extracting significant features from skin lesion images. the retrieved features are then used for clustering skin lesions into different groups based on their visual characteristics. the PSO algorithm is utilized to optimize the clustering process, ensuring that lesions are grouped together based on their similarities effectively. To evaluate the effectiveness of proposed method, experimentation is done on ISIC 2016 and ISIC 2017 datasets and results are compared with other approaches demonstrating the superiority of the approach. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
