this paper investigates a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) aided downlink millimeter-wave multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system. We aim to maximize the system spectral efficiency by jointly design the hybrid precoder at the base station (BS), the RIS phase shifts and the digital combiner at the user equipment (UE). For practical application, we adopt discrete Fourier transform (DFT) codebook-based hybrid precoding, and discrete RIS phase shifts. In order to achieve high performance with small computational delay, we propose a novel two-stage unsupervised learning-based approach to jointly design the codebook-based hybrid precoder and the discrete RIS phase shifts. Corresponding to the two-stage network architecture, we also develop a efficient phased training strategy. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach can achieve satisfactory performance and the computational delay is small.

In this paper, we focus on the near-field multitarget localization problem implemented on a bistatic MIMO radar. Difference from the conventional matrix-based methods like Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC), we establish the signal model with a tensor-based model and solve the target parameters with the power of tensor analysis and numerical optimization methods. the proposed method provides relatively good performance compared to conventional matrix-based methods, both in estimation accuracy and computation cost. Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and good performance of the proposed method, and it showcases its potential application value in various engineering scenarios. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper mainly discusses the random access process and the key problems of preamble design and detection in the satellite communication system supporting LEO satellites. According to the characteristics of satellite environment and system compatibility, Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence with good autocorrelation and zero cross-correlation is used as timing synchronization sequence, and two ZC sequences with different elements are connected in series to form a preamble sequence. then, using the relationship between the number of roots and the sequence length, a synchronization detection scheme based on multi sequence correlation is proposed. the calculated correlation value is compared with the preset threshold to judge whether the received sequence is synchronized. the robustness of this method to carrier frequency offset (CFO), noise suppression and computational complexity are verified theoretically.

Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) are a leading global health challenge, causing 41 million deaths per year. Risk factors include genetics, environmental factors, and lifestyle choices. Adopting healthy lifestyles can prevent or delay the onset of NCDs, but health misinformation can lead people to make poor decisions about their health. To combat this, it is proposed to develop an Intelligent System using Artificial Intelligence techniques to collect and analyze data from social media about health topics to combat misinformation in public health and forecast NCDs, providing guidelines to prevent their spread. Methods: A systems overall architecture is presented. An innovative and novel solution that addresses the spread of information concerning health and NCDs contributes to inform public policies and infodemic management strategies. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. this paper proposes a multi-beamspace division multiple access (MB-SDMA) by utilizing a directional radiation communication beam of the hemispherical LED array, which can solve the problem of network forming for underwater nodes. Meanwhile, a multiple-input multiple-output non-orthogonal multiple access(MIMO-NOMA) technologies for MB-SDMA is constructed. In this system, a multiple beam selection strategy aiming at the maximum receiving beam energy for the different spatial position is proposed. then, an optimization model is established to make the user nodes satisfy the fairness criterion of maximizing the minimum rate under the constraint of total transmit power, and the non-convex model is solved by using the bisection method and the KKT condition. Finally, the power allocation algorithm to ensure user fairness is proposed in the multi-beam MIMO-NOMA *** simulation results show that the system reduces inter-beam interference by reducing the number of radio frequency(RF) links, and it can be seen that the throughput of the multi-beam MIMO-NOMA system is higher than that of the traditional OMA system. © 2022 IEEE.

In many real-life classification tasks, the issue of imbalanced data is commonly observed. the workings of mainstream machine learning algorithms typically assume the classes amongst underlying datasets are relatively well-balanced. the failure of this assumption can lead to a biased representation of the models' performance. this has encouraged the incorporation of re-sampling techniques to generate more balanced datasets. However, mainstream re-sampling methods fail to account for the distribution of minority data and the diversity within generated instances. therefore, in this paper, we propose a data-generation algorithm, Cluster-based Diversity Over-sampling (CDO), to consider minority instance distribution during the process of data generation. Diversity optimisation is utilised to promote diversity within the generated data. We have conducted extensive experiments on synthetic and real-world datasets to evaluate the performance of CDO in comparison with SMOTE-based and diversity-based methods (DADO, DIWO, BL-SMOTE, DB-SMOTE, and MAHAKIL). the experiments show the superiority of CDO. the energy consumption of Wireless Sensor networks (WSNs) is constrained by battery power. this paper presents a method aimed at reducing energy usage during network routing. An opportunistic energy-efficient routing protocol, often known as an OEERP, is a concept that comprises introduced to enhance the network’s performance, improve target location detection accuracy, Increase the network’s energy efficiency while simultaneously extending its existence. the approach that has been presented puts idle nodes into a sleep state, hence reducing the amount of energy that is consumed. When the network’s residual energy (RE) is taken into consideration, sleep states are dynamically regulated and flow rate (FR), optimizing energy conservation. Nodes in sleep mode are periodically activated through triggering mechanisms. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the OEERP, showing enhanced target detection accuracy, energy efficiency, and overall network performance, and comparisons with existing protocols are provided through plotted results. © 2025 IEEE.

Gaming is highly connected to emotion. Unfortunately, most game experience research has little or no connection to the emotion literature, which makes the emotion in games poorly understood. As technology and understanding of emotion are progressing, the researchers would like to take the opportunity to unfold discoveries that relate to recognizing the underlying emotions while playing Valorant, one of the trending online games nowadays. To recognize emotions, a model for speech emotion recognition must be developed. For emotion recognition in human speech, one can either extract emotion-related attributes from speech data or translate the speech dataset into its text equivalence prior to analyzing the data using natural language processing. Furthermore, emotion detection will benefit from the use of an audio-textual multimodal set-up, but it is not easily possible to devise a system that can learn from multimodality. It is either one can independently construct models for two input sources and aggregate them at the decision level. Inspired by this idea, the researchers in this paper proposed a speech emotion recognition model utilizing two modalities: speech and text. this study aims to discover the performance of a natural speech database consisting of in-game audio communications of Filipino gamers in multimodal emotion recognition and also, to detect the profane words uttered using audio and textual features. Employing deep learning algorithms like Convolutional Neural networks (CNN) for speech and Natural Language Processing for recognizing emotions from the text as well as detecting the profane words that existed, results were evaluated in accordance with its statistical measures and then combined in order to evaluate the results and show the proposed approach achieves the state-of-the-art performance on the natural speech database. © 2022 IEEE.

Spatial information sampling algorithm (SIS) is an evolutionary algorithm that uses intelligent solutions for decision making. In SIS, the shape of solution space of the population is normalized to a hypercube distribution. the SIS always searches around the best individuals, and thus suffers from a local optimum trapping problem. therefore, we propose an improved spatial information sampling algorithm (ISIS). We innovatively propose a dynamic adjustment of the population structure strategy and improve on the original search strategy so that the ISIS algorithm can search around multiple good individuals simultaneously. We compare the results of ISIS on 29 benchmark problems from CEC2017 with other state-of-the-art algorithms, and our algorithm has significant advantages. © 2022 IEEE.

Ontologies are an essential component of semantic integration approaches for information systems . In a decentralized environment, each specification of the domain reflects an Ontological view. However, the semantics characterization of information systems in such decentralized environment poses a significant issue related to their integration. Information systems are viewed as independent intensional entities with their own beliefs, distinct from those held by others. Such autonomy is distorted by traditional extensional semantics. Other entities’ beliefs are introduced into a given entity, thus affecting their beliefs. Additionally, the information that one entity provides to another entity may not be consistent with the information known by the latter. We need an alternative semantics for information integration, which is not dependent on the extension, but rather on the underlying conceptualization. this paper proposes a classification of the environment where the information systems lives and a novel modelling paradigm for information integration using intensional logic to model the ontological views. the model comprises a formal modeling approach for the conceptualization as well as for the semantic integration process.
