the reliable and efficient delivery of electrical power is crucial in modern societies, where a wide range of industries, infrastructure, and everyday life depend on a stable and high-quality power supply. However, the increasing complexity and integration of electrical systems, coupled with the growing use of power electronics and non-linear loads, have led to the emergence of various power quality disturbances that have significant impacts on the performance and lifespan of electrical equipment. To overcome these issues this proposes a leveraging adaptive RNN (Recurrent Neural Network) for enhanced detection of power quality disturbances in electrical systems. the methodology begins with comprehensive data collection from various power system sources to capture a wide range of disturbance patterns. Preprocessing techniques, including data cleaning and remove null values, are applied to enhance data quality and ensure accurate feature extraction. Data analysis and exploration then provide insight into underlying trends and characteristics within the dataset, facilitating the selection of relevant features. these features are then split into training and test datasets to build a robust predictive model. An adaptive RNN model is utilized to detect and classify disturbances, leveraging its ability to handle sequential data efficiently. the model’s performance is assessed through python, followed by accuracy of 91% and F1 Score of 0.89 evaluation to validate its reliability. this approach ensures an effective and adaptive solution for real-time PQDS monitoring, thereby enhancing the resilience and reliability of power systems in dynamic operating environments. © 2025 IEEE.

the elevator brake is an important device to ensure the safety of the elevator, and is the basis to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the elevator. Its main function is to keep the car stationary when the elevator stops running, and to enable the running elevator to automatically stop the car in the case of power failure, its important position is like the brake device of the car, to ensure its reliable performance. the type test method is usually used to detect the performance of the elevator brake in our country. Due to the external influence of the equipment structure, the test parameters have one-sidedness and can not detect the performance of the elevator brake comprehensively and accurately. the traditional brake testing and testing is manual, and the choice of the distance, position and consumables of the brake lining mainly depends on the subjective experience of the operator, so it is difficult to achieve a unified standard in the maintenance and testing process. this paper proposes a duplex dual circularly polarized (CP) antenna for satellites communication. the downlink operates in 113 - 123 GHz with right-hand circular polarization (RHCP), and the uplink operates in 14 - 14.5 GHz with left-hand circular polarization (LHCP). the sequential rotation(SR) technique is used to achieve the circular polarization, and the CP axial ratio (AR) of operating bands are below 3 dB. the elevation angle of the 3-dB AR of the center frequency in uplink is larger than +/- 45 degrees, and in downlink is larger than +/- 48 degrees. this structure also uses an electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structure for decoupling and achieves an isolation more than -36.16 dB in the uplink. Finally, By calculating the beam direction patterns of 16x16 array with HFSS array factor calculation, the scan angle is larger than 23 degrees when inputting 90 degrees phase difference in phi=0 degrees direction.

Optical eigenvalue communication is a promising technology to overcome the Kerr nonlinearity limit in optical fiber communications. this paper reports our recent studies on optical eigenvalue communication: a design of hyper-multilevel eigenvalue modulation using the on-off states of multieigenvalue and long-haul transmission of a 4096-ary eigenvalue-modulated signal using a neural network-based demodulator and soft-decision forward error correction (SD-FEC).

the reliable operation of modern power systems relies upon voltage stability analysis, especially when load demands and the integration of renewable energy sources increase. Conventional methods struggle with real-time and large-scale analysis. In this study, Modal Analysis and Random Forest machine learning model are combined to propose a novel method to evaluate voltage stability and to detect the most vulnerable branch in the network with contingency analysis and load variation. the feasibility of the proposed work is evaluated in IEEE 14 bus transmission system and IEEE 33 bus radial distribution networks, respectively. the results demonstrate the promising potential of machine learning for voltage stability prediction

Cartesian Genetic Programming (CGP) is regularly applied to synthesize and realize digital circuits for small arithmetic and digital-logic functions. CGP benefits in obtaining hardware-efficient circuits through its heuristic search-space exploration, which is hard to reach in a rule-based synthesis process. However, the traditional CGP configuration has limitations in evolving large and complex circuits, requiring a large number of generations. High computation time and energy requirements hinder its usage from evolving complex digital circuits. this paper investigates and demonstrates the desired modifications to existing CGP in the form of Binary Weighted Fitness (BwF) and exponentially varying mutation rate (eVar) to evolve functionally correct solutions extremely fast. the benefits are demonstrated for the basic non-linear power functions and are validated for usage in activation functions which are otherwise difficult to realize. Additionally, 12 different CGP configurations with changes in mutation scheme and evolutionary strategy were also investigated for the power functions. A comparison with the benefits of BwF and eVar adopted CGP over the traditional CGP methods is presented and discussed. Copyright © 2022 by SCITEPRESS - Science and Technology Publications, Lda.

In recent trend, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become irreplaceable performer in enhancing mobile networks performance. Its flexibility and mobility features reinforce its existence in modern wireless communication networks as a dynamic base station (BS) to provide good wireless connectivity for mobile networks. Noting that, positioning of UAV plays an important role in achieving optimal performance for wireless communication networks. In this paper, we consider implementing a system model consisting of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as a dynamic base station aided (NOMA) communication system to maximize the proposed system achievable sum rate. To optimize the position of UAV, we introduced a reinforcement learning (RL) based settle by modeling the UAV position optimization problem as a multi-armed bandit (MAB) problem. the interference and power limitations are constraints considered in the proposed formulated problem. the proposed simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed MAB algorithm in solving the proposed UAV position optimization problem.

the proliferation of bandwidth-hungry apps and the growing number of connected devices have resulted in an unprecedented demand for wireless communication networks. the introduction of fifth generation (5G) networks has created new opportunities to improve connectivity, especially in difficult situations such as distant locations or places affected by disasters. In this regard, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) have been shown to be a flexible tool. As the 5G network did, the 6G network is anticipated to offer millions of interconnected devices massive connectivity with a wide range of quality of service (QoS) requirements, ubiquitous coverage, a high level of embedded artificial intelligence (AI), energy efficiency, and adaptive network security. UAVs are expected to play an important role in 6G networks. In this paper, LEACH-C algorithm is implemented and analyzed for improving the network throughput and energy efficiency. the experiment is performed in MATLAB. the proposed algorithm results are compared with optimal UAV placement algorithm, resulting in better performance.

the popularization of mobile terminals and extensive coverage of the network have benefited college students a lot in their English learning. they are provided with more choices in learning methods with the vigorous development of online English learning apps. A case in point is their vocabulary Learning. English vocabulary is an essential part or language learning, and college students often face the challenge of memorizing and recalling numerous words. the access to English vocabulary memorization applications (App) like Bai Ci Zhan, Shanbay-Words, MaiMemo and so on has helped students expand their vocabulary. However, there are few studies on the comparative analysis between the learning methods of memorizing words through traditional paper-based wordbooks and apps. this study, therefore, will start from the comparison between these two methods based on the analysis of a questionnaire distributed online to students at NingboTech University, and then explore the effect of word memorization apps on their English learning from the collected data analysis. the research results show that compared with traditional method of memorizing words through paper-based wordbooks, most respondents tend to use apps to promote English learning due to their unique functions and brilliant user experience. Furthermore, apps can enhance their determination and motivate their enthusiasm in English learning. this research also points out some disadvantages of the apps and provides the suggestions to promote the development of such apps. © 2024, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

American sign language (ASL) is a natural language to minimize communication barrier for the people suffering from hearing and speech impairment. However, sign languages are not a common form of communication in society, and it is lacking a sign language translator to ease the communication. Hence, this research proposes an improved visual-based communication framework to translate ASL alphabets in real-time. the proposed framework consists of different steps i.e., image pre-processing, hand segmentation with U-Net, data-augmentation techniques, and classification of American sign language. A n ensemble classification model i s proposed where V GG19, R esNet-50 and MobileNet are used as base models, and 2 fully connected layers are used as meta model. the proposed approach achieved 99.86% accuracy and performed better when compared with existing literature. © 2022 IEEE.
