5G is the latest technology available for consumers. this technology is the successor to the famous 4G LTE mobile network and possesses improved features from the previous generation networks. this upgrade has enabled innovations such as vehicular automation to utilise the capabilities of 5G. One important aspect of information transmission is the correctness of the data received by the system. this is doubly important for vehicular automation as an error or mistake in the transmission of data may lead to accidents. As such, this study will look into the performance of different channel coding techniques of a simple digital communications system and evaluate the BER and PAPR of the system.

Online attacks are outcomes of cyber vulnerabilities. XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is a self-descriptive markup language, and XML eXternal Entity injection (XXE) is a well-recognised web security vulnerability. XXE injection can attack web applications that several popular XML parsers are unable to withstand. Most of the available literature on XXE is based on vulnerability testing, but not much work has been done on ways for prevention of such attacks. the aim of this research is investigation of XXE attacks, and ways of prevention of such attacks. A sample vulnerable web application utilizing the standard XML parser that accompanies the Java Development Kit (JDK) has been developed in this work for executing different attacks and detection of attacks. Additionally, ways for prevention of XXE attacks are suggested as well. A virtual machine image of the developed framework is provided to perform trial and error for experimentation and representation of vulnerabilities. Different techniques and exploitation approaches for evaluating the performance of sample web application in terms of vulner-abilities are utilized to develop a platform for executing such attacks. Since the vulnerabilities of misconfigured XML parsers are depicted in this work in detail, effective methods for securing websites from XXE attacks are provided. Furthermore, this work also includes discourse on tools for developing platform for XXE attacks, and ways to eliminate vulnerabilities.

Early detection and classification of a cancer type can aid the patient's subsequent clinical therapy. Cervical cancer is a prevalent type of cancer that affects a woman's cervix because of abnormal cell growth. It is the fourth most common disease in women globally, and early detection has the potential to save lives. In spite of the fact that previous studies achieved outstanding results, their models were highly computationally complex due to the significant number of features incorporated. therefore, this study is intended to use clinical data to diagnose cervical cancer in its early stages and investigate the effect of Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) in reducing the number of attributes. the models were trained and tested using a dataset obtained from the Machine Learning Repository at the University of California at Irvine (UCI). the models included Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Adaptive Boosting (AdaBoost), and Extra Trees (ET). the findings showed that XGBoost and AdaBoost performed the best, with an accuracy rate of 99.79%, recall rate of 100%, and precision rate of 99.6%, using only 8 features.

this paper addresses designing waveforms for dual-function radar-communication (DFRC) system based on a multiple-input-multiple-out (MIMO) array. the focus of the system is on detecting a Rician target and communicating with the downlink cellular users simultaneously. We establish two hypotheses (viz., the target is present/absent) and employ the relative entropy between the two distributions associated with the hypotheses as the design metric. We impose the multi-user interference (MUI) energy constraint on the waveforms to guarantee the quality of service of communication. To tackle the non-convex optimization problem, we present a novel alternating direction of method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithm and adopt an efficient minorization-maximization (MM) approach at each iteration. Numerical results are provided to show the effectiveness of the waveforms synthesized by the proposed algorithm for detecting Rician targets and communicating with the downlink cellular users simultaneously.

the establishment of a virtual campus is a good opportunity to guide and promote the modernization of college education. With the development of the third-generation Internet technology, virtual reality technology is emerging. the paper takes the Changchun University History Museum as the background. this paper discusses the application of virtual technology in the construction of virtual campus museum system, from the aspects of the meaning of virtual school history museum, module design, development process and support operation mode. In the end, it is concluded that the virtual campus history museum is beneficial to the university humanities and moral education.

the presence of Industry 4.0 has altered the requirements of industrial workforces. Previously, the personnel in charge of information systems and plant operations were divided and worked in different concepts and methods. Nevertheless, the convergence of Industry 4.0 has encouraged the development of maintenance workforces capable of both information processing and machine maintenance. In response, an excellence center in Industry 4.0 in as aspect of computer engineering discipline is to be established to support the paradigm change in industry. the Asean Factori 4.0 project, an ERASMUS+ project funded by the European Union, is assisting with the process. the preparation of the excellence center is divided into two parts: the hardware and software definitions, and the staff preparations. the design and delivery of hardware and software is progressed according to the schedule, and the staff are being prepared as intended in the form of seminar and training. the feedback and evaluation strongly state that the audiences and the trainees are well satisfied and educated. © 2022 IEEE.

5G and beyond networks have been the main focus of wireless communication society nowadays. One candidate of these networks is the usage of sub-terahertz (sub-thz) band. However, it suffers badly due to blockage whether it causes by objects or human bodies. Reflecting intelligent surfaces (RISs) is used to eliminate the effect of blockage by implementing it as an assistant to sub-thz access points (APs). In which, RISs can provide alternative line of sight (LOS) links between transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX), when the main TX-RX link is blocked. By optimal placement of RISs, they succussed in solving blockage due to static objects. But, human bodies blockage, which cannot be known and is difficult to be predicted, is still under question to model its effect on the system. In this paper, the effect of human blockage is studied under realistic scenarios in 150 thz band, where the link blockage is assumed to occur for both the direct (LOS) TX-RX link and the alternative TX-RIS-RX links. Furthermore, a trustable human blockage model, Geometrical Empirical model, is considered to describe human obstacles. In addition, we present the effect of RX height on the blockage occurrence. In our simulation results, we study the impact of blockage on the performance of RIS aided sub-thz communication system in terms of the spectral efficiency and outage probability.

In this paper, we investigate the dynamic optimization on resource allocation and reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) control in RIS-enhanced multi-cell orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) systems. Specifically, we jointly optimize the subcarrier and power allocation strategies, and control the amplitude and phase shift of the reflection elements of RIS. We propose a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (MADRL) method to solve this optimization problem. We design a multi-agent double deep q-network (MADDQN) algorithm to generate the subcarrier allocation policy, and adopt the multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (MADDPG) algorithm for power allocation and RIS control. Furthermore, a bi-directional transfer learning (BDTL) framework is proposed to enhance the adaptability of neural networks in different environments by leveraging the common configurations of these environments. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed algorithms have higher sum-rate and faster training speed than the baseline algorithms. Moreover, the BDTL framework further accelerates the convergence speed of neural networks under different environments.

this paper explores the problem of seeking a wireless ultra-wideband radio-enabled physical package in a cluttered environment using a mobile robot. We enable a robot to navigate (using LiDAR and wheel odometry measurements) to a physical package by continuously calculating the distance from the package (using UWB-based wireless ranging). We assume no explicit support from the surrounding environment where the package is present and, therefore, intend to perform this package-seeking using sensors on the robot and a UWB-wireless radio installed inside the package. We expect such a system to be used for high-value packages or packages with perishable contents. the technical innovations in this paper stem from the robot utilizing its own movements and continuous distance measurements with the UWB inside the package to localize the package and then seek out an approach path for autonomous navigation using LiDAR. We demonstrate our end-to-end robotic system using real-world experiments with varying levels of clutter and navigational complexity.
