the problem of carbon monoxide pollution remains relevant due to the significant share of motor vehicles in the traffic of large cities. To solve this problem, it is necessary to establish an objective picture with pollution of this type. Mathematical modeling is one of the ways to evaluate and take into account the dynamics of carbon monoxide concentrations due to air pollution by vehicles. the article proposes to use an inductive and deductive approach to modeling these processes, combining the advantages of the mentioned approaches and avoiding their disadvantages. Having a measuring set of data on the dynamics of concentrations in different points of the city, it is proposed to use an inductive approach to the construction of an interval model in the form of a difference equation that reflects the daily cycle of carbon monoxide concentrations in a given point of the city. A method of transforming the obtained difference equation into a differential equation for the purpose of interpreting the simulation results and ensuring the completeness of the mathematical model is proposed. the given results of numerical modeling confirmed the efficiency of the proposed approach. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's world, a sizable portion of small and medium sized businesses deal with various issues relating to productivity. these can be in the form of machine conditions, bottlenecks, material handling delays and various others issues. However, the success of the businesses depends on work efficiency and productivity. With new engineering techniques, one can design, develop, and implement better facility layouts that can help with both efficiency and productivity. the FlexSim software is used to develop these better facility layouts by simulating the machine areas and plant operations. It is also used to test and analyze the performance of the remodeled facility layouts under various scenarios. Each run of a modified version of the simulation shows changes in productivity and performance. By using simulations, we find a better and a more economical alternative to simply increasing the efficiency of every machine. In this paper, we investigate how discrete plant layouts affect the manufacturing process's production limits.

Exo-suit/Soft Exoskeletons are actuated using flexible actuators or cable driven systems. In a cable-driven exosuit, the routing of the cable needs to be defined mathematically to control the position of the joint. For an elbow exosuit, the actuation is applied to the elbow joint which has a single DoF. the generated movement takes place in the sagittal plane. To fabricate a cable-driven elbow exosuit, it is necessary to calculate the tension force in the string and the torque required at the elbow joint to select the cable and motor characteristics. the process of calculating these parameters are independent for any exosuit. A static model for a cable driven exo-suit has been presented. Using the model we have simulated the actuation of an elbow joint for an exosuit. the physical validation of the model will be done in future work.

the study is dedicated to addressing the issue of enhancing the informativeness of managing mentoring activities in enterprises based on simulation modeling. the research methodology includes the application of a multidimensional normal distribution to create a model with random data, the use of regression analysis to identify relationships between factors and the outcome variable, and verification of the model's correctness. the theoretical significance of the research lies in a deeper understanding of mentoring mechanisms and their impact on employee productivity, while its practical significance is in developing effective approaches to managing mentoring activities, based on precise data and analytics. the results of the study demonstrate that simulation modeling can significantly enhance the informativeness of managing mentoring activities, facilitating rational decision-making and increasing business efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

S-map is a method based on state space reconstruction provided an efficient method to infer a proxy for the local effect of species interactions and to make reliable forecasts from nonlinear time series, which uses Euclidean distances in the reconstructed state space to determine nearest neighbor points and corresponding weight values. the distance in the state space measures the similarity of the states of two points in the space, which is essential for predicting the evolution of similar states. If the distance measurement is not accurate, it will be problematic to determine adjacent points that correctly reflect the similarity. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a S-map that uses vector similarity to select neighboring points and compute weights. the proposed method is first validated on a simulated dataset generated from 12 resource competition models. To further validate our method, we used vector similarity-based S-map for the Time series of sockeye salmon returns from the Fraser River in British Columbia, Canada. © 2022 ACM.

With the development of automated container terminals (ACTs), various layouts of terminals are emerging. In this study, we take the operation in ACT with U-shaped layout as the research object, analyze the characteristics of the ACT layout and the operation process. Based on that, we construct a multi-agent-based simulation model for operations in ACT with a U-shaped layout, considering the coupling operation of double trolley quayside crane (DTQC), intelligent guide vehicle (IGV) and double cantilever automatic rail mounted gantry crane (DCARMG). Finally, we take an actual ACT as an example to verify the validity of the simulation model and analyze the impact of different DCARMG operation strategies and the number of IGVs on the efficiency of terminal operations. © 2022 ACM.

Preparing travel time data can be a time-consuming process, which greatly limits the flexibility of transport simulation models. In the current paper, we present an approach to integrate a routing engine locally in an existing modeling framework, hence enabling to dynamically calculate travel times in the constructed emergency medical services (EMS) simulation models. this integration eliminates the need for the pre-calculation typically required to prepare travel time data. Using the extended framework, we developed an EMS simulation model for stroke patients, which we applied in a scenario study to southern Sweden. this allowed us to evaluate the potential benefits of using dynamic travel time calculations in prehospital stroke care. the experimental results, supported by comparisons with pre-calculated travel times, confirm the effectiveness of our approach in integrating dynamic travel time calculations into the framework. Moreover, the results of our evaluation indicate that including this functionality in simulation models can provide more realistic results. Finally, our approach for local implementation of dynamic travel time calculations is faster and less restricted compared to using online services. © 2025 the Author(s).

How to choose the best route of urban traffic, shorten the travel time and relieve the traffic pressure has become the main problem in related *** the research, this paper briefly introduces the urban transportation project, and gives the technical methods of digital twin of urban transportation process integration: creating architecture, analyzing system function and digital technology integration;Set the traffic scene and use the digital twin technology to select the technical process of the best traffic path: disease analysis, road condition analysis and IOT technology integration;the system design method of the best path is given: building the framework structure, adding the field detection module, building the traditional data channel, carrying out the virtual driving test, processing the detection data returned by the sensor, so as to ensure the accuracy of path selection. © 2022 ACM.

the work substantiates the use of modern information technologies and mathematical modeling based on the analysis of interval data as effective process management tools in biogas plants. the use of interval modeling allows you to build models with guaranteed prognostic properties. the article also presents the features of building the software architecture for mathematical modeling of processes in biogas plants. the main aspects of the implementation of software for modeling processes in biogas plants are described, the feature of which is the software interpretation of interval discrete models and an open service-oriented architecture, which ensures their integration into existing control systems of biogas plants and allows to control biochemical processes in real time and thereby increase efficiency of functioning of biogas plants. A number of diagrams illustrating the features of the software implementation of the environment for simulating processes in biogas plants are given, and the specifics of its implementation into the SIMBA#biogas universal system of simulating and simulating the operation of biogas plants are described. © 2024 IEEE.
