Over the past decades, the domain of electronic circuits design continues transitioning to wider usage of the automation tools to overcome the human level limitations, where integrated circuits (IC) were designed by hand and manually arranged. Experts in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry agree that most of the Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and field-programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) designers will turn to high-level automated design methodologies soon. the main reason for this is the technology improvements that have taken place in the EDA tools, hardware, and software. In the past couple of years, Machine Learning (ML) achievements for EDA turned into a separate field with new studies and methods that enclose all the phases in the chip design flow, such as logic synthesis, design space reduction, exploration, placement, and routing. the latest ML-build approaches have shown considerable improvements in contrast to established traditional methods. this paper covers the newest ML algorithms in FPGA device design, emphasizing the recent research benchmarks' realizations. © 2021 IEEE.

Vendors are allowed put any pre-installed applications on their devices that have open-source Android operating system. Even if these applications have risk on users' privacy and security, number of studies that analyze them in that context inclusively is limited. In this study, a public data set of pre-installed applications to fulfill the gap in this field is introduced. Also, using these data set, effects of Tracking Software Development Kits that have been found in pre-installed application on user privacy are analyzed. thus, exploration of pre-installed tracking ecosystem on systems is contributed, and relationship between these software and third parties is exposed. Moreover, with a user study, users' knowledge and perceptions about pre-installed applications are measured and their awareness levels are revealed. © 2021 IEEE.

this study examines the dielectric behavior of natural esters exposed to a DC electric field over an extended period of time. the dielectric response was investigated by using polarization and depolarization current measurements. the natural ester sample was subjected to a DC electric field of 0.1 kV/mm, 0.5 kV/mm, 1 kV/mm, 1.5 kV/mm, and 2 kV/mm, respectively. Besides, the moisture content of natural esters was also controlled using a natural method. the test results showed that after being exposed to an electric field for an extended period of time of the natural ester, different forms of charge accumulation might be found partly depending on the initial condition of the investigated natural ester.

A nonvolatile FPGA using atom-switch crossbars is implemented in a 28nm CMOS. the depopulated atom-switch crossbar with double-gate layout achieves 75% area saving. the routability degradation due to the depopulation is mitigated by a modified routing architecture of mixed segment lengths with thinning out connection block populations. To our knowledge, the novel FPGA provides the largest logic capacity of 171k lookup-table (LUT) among 3D-FPGAs based on monolithically integrated nonvolatile switch and memory. the operating frequency and dynamic power are significantly improved as compared to conventional atom-switch FPGAs.

Coarse-grained reconfigurable arrays (CGRAs) provide higher flexibility than application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and higher efficiency than fine-grained reconfigurable devices such as field programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). However, CGRAs are generally designed to support offloading of a single kernel. While their design, based on communicating functional units, appears to naturally suit streaming applications composed of multiple cooperating kernels, current approaches only statically partition the resources across kernels. However, streaming applications often are data-dependent, leading to variable kernel execution times depending on the input data and impacting the throughput of the entire pipeline if resources are statically allocated. therefore, in this paper, we discuss the design of DynPaC a coarse-grained, dynamically, and partially reconfigurable array for data-dependent streaming applications. We discuss the required software and hardware components to manage partial dynamic reconfiguration. We demonstrate that by supporting partial dynamic reconfiguration, we can obtain an average speedup of 1.44 x for a representative set of applications w.r.t. static partitioning, with a limited area overhead (6.4% of the entire chip).

In this present work, a high-speed cordic-based realtime Single-delay feedback FFT processor is realized on FPGA. the Cordic algorithm will eliminate the hardware complexity of the complex multipliers in the butterflies. the logic behind this implementation is to replace the twiddle factors in conventional SDF processors with recursive Cordic rotations thereby eliminating the usage of ROM. Cordic is utilized as it provides a simpler way of computing complex multiplications and it is considered the best alternative. the present cordic sdf architecture is proposed to implement and scale to the variable length of FFT size $N=2^{m}$. where $\mathbf{N}$ belongs to FFT size and $\mathbf{m}$ indicates no of stages. Memory utilization in cordic pipelined SDF fft is 4% as compared to conventional SDF fft which takes 21%. the maximum operating frequency in the case of Cordic-based SDF FFT is $\mathbf{1 2 8. 4 M H Z}$ resulting in low latency and high throughput. the present architecture offers a variety of applications in signal and communication systems where high speed is employed for faster data transfer.

In the present digital era, a popular use of Machine learning is knowledge mining from big data. Machine learning is the sub-branch of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that extracts rules automatically from Big Data for decision-making to build expert systems. Meta-Learning is a sub-branch of machine learning, which uses machine learning classifiers that learns to map and combine predictions and information of data of other ML-models in the field of ensemble-learning. Meta-learning helps us to select the best/right learning algorithms to solve a particular problem. It maps from the meta-data of other machine learning algorithms by evaluating it on different datasets. In this paper, we have presented very recent state-of-the-art research works on meta-learning. We have categorized meta-learning on supervised learning data sets into three categories: (1) Task Independent Recommendation, (2) Configuration Space Design, and (3) Configuration Transfer, and reviewed the recent works on each category. © 2022 IEEE.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is tremendously expanding in the recent years, for its ability to solve complex problems even with lacking and chaotic data. Its applications are wide-ranging, covering several fields as economy, military and construction. AI can be implemented in Civil Engineering, for the study of different issues as the mix proportion, the workability, and the strength prediction. AI aims to mimic the human brain, that is made up of many nerve cells driven by neurons which are in control of the external stimuli. Several AI techniques already exist, namely Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Fuzzy logic (FL), which find terrific perspectives in the field of Civil Engineering topics. Digital Fabrication with Concrete (DFC) is gaining great momentum, driven by the need of technological advancement and innovation uptake in the construction industry. the rheology of concrete finds evident meaning, because of the necessity of working concrete in its early ages, when still fluid. To make the material suitable for the printing process, concrete must comply with the printability requirements that are governed by parameters such as yield, tensile and shear strength. the purpose of the paper is to analyse the printability through the implementation of AI techniques, designing a neural network between the parameters that control the properties and the rheology of various concrete mixes. © 2022, fib. the international Federation for Structural Concrete. Any industrial plant includes many operation areas. these areas are controlled using different controllers like Pro-grammable logic Controller and Distributed Control System. To run these operations proper networking is required. In industry OT networking is always challenging as variety of instruments, controllers are involved. In this paper programmable logic Controller to Distributed Control system communication is im-plemented. Flow loop is interfaced to Micrologix 1400 PLC. Likewise we have 14 local programmable logic Controllers. Using Modbus TCP/IP communication all field devices data is available to common network. Modbus TCP gateway is configured to communicate, field devices real time data to serial card of DeltaV host system. Real time data from field devices is available to DeltaV DCS workstations. Note to Practitioner-this paper was motivated by the challenges of networking operational technology and IT technology in any industry. In industry variety of field devices are used to run processes or machines. We can classify field devices as Digital Input, Digital Output, Analog Input, and Analog Output. Even controllers like Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and programmable logic Controllers (PLC) are offered by a variety of manufacturers. We need to configure field devices to controllers through input and output modules. DCS system supports applications like insight and AMS. We have to monitor the performance of the flow loop, which is operated through local PLC-Micrologix 1400. Modbus TCP/IP communication is demonstrated for communication between PLC-Micrologix 1400 and DeltaV DCS. For each field device registers have been mapped. Modbus gateway needs to configure with PLC-Micrologix 1400 IP address. Data sets are created in DeltaV for the field devices. Using the Delat V process historian, we can monitor trends for all parameters. Further, using the DeltaV Insight application, we can monitor the performance of the closed-loop system.

the present paper discusses the tendency of field Effect transistors (FETs) towards lower dimensional devices. they are drastically shrinking in size and tending to nano sheets form. this device shrinking is needed to remain in the More-than-Moore’s Law era and go down in technology nodes smaller than 3 nm. the tendency started by FinFETs, then GAAFETs, followed by NanoFETs and now Nanosheet FETs. this evolution supposes the node value to be a true 3D node. the advantage of this technology change is to have a better field control and device ON/OFF performances aiming very low power consumption. Based on our simulation results, it has been found that nano sheet devices are likely to take over for the next decade(s) and reduce the technology nodes based on the verticality of the technology. It has been concluded that three/four nanosheets FETs are likely to be the dominant device in the near future.
