In faster-than-real-time simulation (FRTS), simulation runs concurrently withthe real world system and advancement of simulation time occurs faster than real world time. thus, it is important for the FRTS experiment designer to study timing constraints and set limitations on the execution time of specific activities. As simulation activities and control data flows may be the same in diverse FRTS implementations, a common model for FRTS system development is introduced based on the Real Time Unified modeling Language (RT-UML). the proposed modeling framework enables the detailed specification of critical time and synchronization requirements for FRTS components and an overall performance evaluation. Detailed specification for FRTS systems leads to standardized implementations of them meeting strict time requirements.

An efficient methodology to extract compact models for microstrip lines on lossy silicon substrate is presented. the transversal magnetic field equations are solved by dual finite integration technique (dFIT), a numerical method which allows the accuracy control of the computed frequency dependent line parameters. Several techniques are used to accelerate the process of p.u.l. parameters extraction, such as minimal virtual boundary, minimal mesh and minimal frequency samples set. the solution of the transmission line equations with frequency dependent parameters is then approximated by a rational function of appropriate degree in order to extract the compact model and its SPICE equivalent circuit. the behavior of the obtained compact model of order 10 shows good agreement with respect to the measured data.

A simulation model based on finite-element method is presented to simulate the soil ionization phenomenon around the grounding system. the advantage of the methodology proposed in this study against analytical methods is that both simple and complex grounding systems buried in homogeneous or nonhomogeneous soil taking into account soil breakdown process can be modeled. the suggested modeling is validated by comparison of the calculated results, which are laid out for grounding rod and grounding grid, with experimental tests results and simulations results found in literature. the performance of grounding system, considering the soil ionization effect at high-magnitude current, is also compared withthe one not considering the soil ionization effect

Starting a project to structurally improve the demand planning often requires convincing all parties involved in such an effort. the key is to quantify the bottom-line impact of an increased demand planning reliability in the supply chain. this paper proposes a system dynamics simulationmodeling framework that allows different managers to examine how improvements in their demand reliability will impact the overall corporate bottom-line. For example, supply chain managers can investigate how proposed changes in the supply chain demand forecasting structure, different suppliers, different logistics routes, or alternative inventory methods, may increase the overall profitability. the simulation model has been tested, validated with a real-life case of LG. A parameter for the frequency dependence of eddy-current loss is introduced. the generalized model improves the evaluation accuracy of eddy-current loss and the representation of ac B-H loops under the condition of a sinusoidal magnetic flux. the generalized model also accurately represents ac B-H loops having minor loops.

Such processes as saturation, movement, and three-dimensional (3-D) effects are taken into account. the aim of this study is to set up a design model of 10-100 mW turbo-alternators. the method of taking into account of 3-D effects is described. the first results of simulation were obtained. the experimental measurements validate the model.

For achieving high performance of any system does not depend only on using faster hardware device but also on improvements in architecture and processing techniques. Withthe large growing numbers of applications and users the exchange of the information is also increasing. Existing Ethernet systems have been investigated to see the effective utilization of the system to obtain higher performance with setting minimum changes. this study presents a detailed simulation study of an Ethernet. the experiment is mainly concentrated on maximum utilization of the system in a minimum delay time with a less number of collisions. the experimental results show the most effective and less effective parameters to the performance. A Correlation factor is introduced to understand the interdependence of the different parameters of the Ethernet. the importance of the nature of traffic and setting of performing parameter to appropriate values for optimum utilization are discuss.
