Traditional EDS architectures, primarily designed for internal combustion engine vehicles, are being reimagined to accommodate the distinctive characteristics of EVs, including high-voltage power distribution, energy storage systems, and complex power management requirements. the next generation of EDS for EVs and Non EVs prioritizes modularity, scalability, and efficiency to optimize the integration of various electrical components while ensuring robust performance and safety. the proposed work aims to create a statistical method to evaluate electrical distribution in automotive vehicles with the help of digital optimization (Process based) techniques. Key advancements in EDS architecture include the adoption of distributed power distribution strategies, such as multi-level power distribution units (PDUs) and intelligent load management systems, to enhance system flexibility and fault tolerance. For the work proposed three tests were simulated, fast blow fuse test where wiper motor had actual value of 0.097 Sec and the simulation results achieved was 0.030 Sec which is an acceptable value and is much less than the threshold of 0.050 sec, for Slow blow fuse the battery had actual value of 0.17 Sec and the simulation results achieved was 0.146 Sec which is an borderline value but is still acceptable as it is approximately equal to the threshold of 0.1 sec and for voltage drop test washer motor had load end voltage of 13.29 V and the simulation results achieved was 13.83 V which is an acceptable and in line with expected results. Work done provides an optimum platform for conduct-ing simulated tests for the vehicles and hence will help reduce physical proto development and electrical validation at the initial project level.

the offset voltage and decay time performance parameters of ionizer are greatly affected by the humidity in the working environment. In this paper, the design principle of double DC ionizer with feedback regulation system is introduced, and the humidity sensitivity is studied by experiment. By setting different humidity, the offset voltage and decay time performance parameters of this ionizer are tested. the results show that the offset voltage at each point can be controlled within ±3V in the humidity range (20%~70%). Under the conditions of ultra-low humidity (8%~15%) and ultra-high humidity (80%~90%), the performance of this DC ionizer can meet the electrostatic control requirements of electrostatic protection area. When the ambient humidity exceeds 80%, the performance is greatly affected. © 2022 IEEE.

Automatic color equalization (ACE) algorithm is an effective method for color image enhancement, but its computational complexity is extremely high. In this paper, we first modify the ACE algorithm to reduce the computational complexity and realization cost while maintaining good visual quality. Subsequently, an efficient VLSI architecture for the hardware-friendly ACE algorithm is proposed to meet the requirement of real-time image enhancement. FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) implementation result shows that the proposed architecture can operate at 120MHz and achieve a throughput of 60 frame/s for 256×256 resolution images using about 1.15k and 1.78k of FPGA's logic (LUT) and register resources, respectively. Compared with the existing design, the proposed architecture can achieve higher performance with fewer hardware resources and comparable visual quality.

It is known that the operators in the restaurant industry are currently operating with server systems, custom-made manually installed software and hard configuration support, with high installation and operating costs. With the system developed in this study, without major information technology investment and servers, etc. for small and medium-sized enterprises. It has been ensured that a basic restaurant point of sale, back office and kitchen operations can be achieved quickly and reliably with tablets or computers directly connected to the Internet without installing the device. A structure that is resistant to multi-tenant subscription system, network interruption, stable and at the same time can work in integration with external order systems has been developed. It has been seen that the virtual chef module, which monitors the operation in the restaurant in the upper perspective, enables more accurate decisions to be made by providing a systematic and sensor-based information flow to both the kitchen and the service personnel and the manager in the system. In the measurements made after the development, productivity increase and satisfaction were determined in various fields.

With fast development of Cyber Physical System, the variety and volume of data generated from different edge servers are fairly considerable. Mining and exploiting the data would definitely bring huge advantages. However, there are two major issues exposed in the process. First, utilizing the data with high efficiency is challenging in edge computing environment. Second, data from multiple edge servers often contain sensitive information such as user preferences, which will give rise to privacy breach risks when using the data. Locality-Sensitive Hashing and amplified technology are utilized for dealing with two problems. In this paper, we propose a novel privacy-protection approach named SRchain-LSH in edge computing environment which is based on amplified Locality-Sensitive Hashing technique. In order to verify high accuracy and efficiency of our proposal, large sets of experiments are conducted. According to experimental results, our proposal shows better performance than those of comparative methods in terms of MAE , RMSE and time costs. For our method, the best value of MAE is about 0.41 and time cost is about 0.1 seconds, which are more accurate and efficient than comparative methods. © 2022 IEEE.

Accurate identification of land cover is an important step for determining the right management strategy, planning and environmental assessment. Remote sensing images depicting land covers generally parcel information that has spatial and temporal correlation which cannot be easily identified by classical techniques. this paper proposes a new type of multi-label land cover classification model based on RNN and CNN that can efficiently cover these problems. the suggested model, which uses Fastai library for training and prediction, is capable of capturing both spatial and temporal attributes with a high level of efficiency in dealing with the UCMerced Landuse dataset. the dynamics measured by the plugin prove that the use of the hybrid architecture where LSTM is integrated with ResNet34 as the CNN backbone helps in the identification of complex relation/dependency and patterns in the changes of land cover. therefore, the degrees of accuracy and the F-beta scores are presented which are as good as experimental results confirmed the model’s robustness. the paper extends the methodologies for classifying land cover and provides a promising approach for those application domain, in which the temporal and spatial information needs to be used simultaneously.

the durable and reliable work of compressor-pump stations used in the oil and gas industry has great importance for practice. In reality these areas are characterized by uncertainty information. All structural elements of Piston Machines such as connecting rods, pistons, and piston rings are heavy-duty loaded mechanical systems. the connecting rod of the crank-piston mechanisms of such systems undergo high stresses and wear, and their kinematical couplings are subject to fatigue and failure due to friction, seizure, oscillations, and impact. Friction loss reduction and service life extension remain the main problems in the design and exploitation of reciprocating machinery. the central problems are the optimal design of the crank-piston group and the piston-ring assembly, and the choice of better materials for rubber coupling, leading to a balance between pulsation control and performance. Increasing the efficiency and durability of the piston compressors and pumps directly depends on the correct calculations and design of these elements. By using ANSYS software the structural model of a connecting rod was developed. Using ANSYS software, simulation and stress analysis are performed on the basis of the 405GP15/70 and ARIEL heavy-duty balanced opposed piston compressors used in the Caspian sea - Black sea Region. the article investigated the main causes of failures through the collection and analysis of data from different parts of the machines used for transporting the oil and gas resources. the stress and deformations are analyzed for the connecting rod made of steel material or special aluminum alloy by applying pressure on it in the structural analysis in this article. Structural analysis was performed in ANSYS software. An analysis of static stress and damages due to the application of pressure is presented and analyzed in this work. By observing the analysis results, we can decide whether our designed connecting rod is safe or not under applied load conditions.

Brain-inspired spiking neural networks (SNNs) are considered energy-efficient alternatives to conventional deep neural networks (DNNs). By adopting event-driven information processing, SNNs can significantly reduce the computational demands associated with DNNs, while still achieving comparable performance. However, current SNNs primarily prioritize high accuracy by constructing complex neuron models that generate sparse spikes. Unfortunately, this approach results in low energy efficiency and high latency, posing a significant challenge for deploying SNNs at the edge. Furthermore, the dominant computation in SNNs, which involves spike-wise Accumulate-Compare operations, is well-suited for computing-in-Memory (CIM) architectures. However, exploiting high parallel processing and spike sparsity in CIM-based SNN accelerators is challenging due to the irregularity and time dependency of spikes. To address these limitations, the paper proposes COMPASS, a SRAM-based CIM architecture for efficient SNNs. We first introduce an efficient method to exploit irregular sparsity for both input spikes (explicit) and output spikes (implicit). this is achieved through a speculation mechanism that exploit dynamic spike patterns, enabling lean hardware for sparsity utilization. Additionally, the CIM architecture is carefully modified to facilitate dynamic spike pattern generation and exploitation with minimal overhead. Moreover, we design an adaptive dataflow with temporal spike representation tailored for input/output spikes, reducing memory footprint and enabling parallel execution. Comprehensive evaluation results demonstrate that COMPASS can achieve 26.7x end-to-end speedup over recent SNN accelerators hardware implementation with up to 386.7x less energy per inference.

Integrated circuits employed in space applications generally have very low-volume production and high performance requirements. therefore, the adoption of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components and third Party Intellectual Property cores (3PIPs) is of extreme interest to make system design, implementation and deployment cost-effective and viable w.r.t. performance. On the other hand, this design paradigm exposes the system to a number of security threats both at design-time and at runtime. In this paper, we discuss the security issues related to space applications mainly focusing on threats that come from the adoption of the well-known RISCV microprocessor. We highlight how Hardware Trojan horses (Hths) and Microarchitectural Side-Channel Attacks (MSCAs) may compromise the overall system operation by either altering its nominal behavior or by stealing secret information. We discuss the security extensions provided by the RISC-V architecture as well as their limitations. the paper is concluded by an overview of the issues that are still open regarding the security of such microprocessor in the space domain. © 2022 IEEE.

Peer-to-peer (P2P) communiqué is an essential issue of many allotted systems which includes document sharing and disbursed computing, and making sure its performance is of paramount importance to these structures. On this paper, we investigate the consequences of community latency on P2P performance. We degree the effect of the latency skilled by means of peers on the performance of the device in terms of throughput, latency, and scalability. the simulation results show that once peers experience excessive latency, the overall throughput of the device decreases. Similarly, the machine’s scalability is affected, as friends with better latency take longer to method requests. We additionally located that, at the same time as the overall latency of the gadget can be decreased by using growing the quantity of friends, the discount is insignificant for friends that enjoy high latency. Our findings offer perception into the effects of network latency on P2P performance, and can be used to optimize the layout and deployment of P2P systems.
