the problem of autonomous vehicles mobility and their orientation in space is an important issue today in the manufacturing sector, especially in relation with the application of standard Industry 4.0. In our paper is presented the design of autonomous mobile device. When designing device, we focused on its wide usability and flexibility in deployment, which was reflected in its architecture. the proposal of device contents necessary sensor system, an important part of the device is system for image processing in real time with sufficient computing capacity. Device computing capacity allows to use more complex control algorithms for orientation in space. Final design include communication channels redundancy for the case of failure of any part of the system. For the implementation of control algorithms was chosen software tool Matlab and its toolbox Simulink.

Passenger flow counting is an important issue for management and decision in many public areas such as shopping centers, airports, gyms and galleries. this paper presents some algorithms of Head-counting and Head-tracking for embedded systems in vertically-installed cameras. the system is able to count the number of passengers who enter or leave the detection area. the results are reliable, accurate and stable.

this paper addresses the pressing need for enhanced tools in the diagnosis and management of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), particularly in the accurate detection and segmentation of MS lesions. Leveraging recent advances in deep learning, we evaluate the performance of three state-of-the-art algorithms, focusing on their potential to improve both precision and efficiency in MS lesion segmentation from medical images. Our study provides critical insights into the strengths and limitations of each model, offering valuable guidance for future applications of AI in MS diagnosis and treatment.

Existing Neural Style Transfer (NST) algorithms do not migrate styles well to a reasonable location where the output image can render the correct spatial structure of the object being painted. We propose a deep semantic matching-based multi-scale (DSM-MS) neural style transfer method, which can achieve the reasonable transfer of styles guided by the prior spatial segmentation and illumination information of input images. First, according to real drawing process, before an artist decides how to paint a stroke, he/she needs to observe and then understand subjects, segmenting space into different regions, objects and structures and analyzing the illumination conditions on each object. To simulate the two visual cognition processes, we define a deep semantic space (DSS) and propose a method for calculating DSSs using manual image segmentation, automatic illumination estimation and convolutional neural network (CNN). Second, we define a loss function, named deep semantic loss, which uses DSS to guide reasonable style transfer. third, we propose a multi-scale optimization strategy for improving the efficiency of our method. Finally, we achieve an interdisciplinary application of our method for the first time-painterly rendering 3D scenes by neural style transfer. the experimental results show that our method can synthesize images in better original structures, with more reasonable placement of each styles and visual aesthetic feeling.

Due to the limited illumination and complex environment in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, endoscopic images are usually not clear enough to be interpreted by doctors or used for further processing. In order to solve this problem, a method based on histogram correction and unsharp masking in the wavelet domain is proposed in this paper, to improve the contrast and reveal details of endoscopic images. the HSI color space is adopted for color naturalness, and a logarithm based histogram correction method (LHCM) is proposed to improve the contrast and avoid aritifacts. Details are further enhanced by unsharp masking. Experimental results show that performance of the proposed method is better compared with the state-of-art methods. It can be applied to general images and have good effects as well.

Extracting and delineating curvilinear structure is important for many applications. However, most of the existing algorithms cannot meet the real-time processing requirement. this paper presents a novel method for fast curvilinear structure extraction and delineation from TFDS-3 line-scan images using multi-scale yin-yang discrete-point computing, which can be divided into two stages: multi-scale yin-yang discrete-point sampling and multi-scale yin-yang discrete-point grouping. Multi-scale discrete-point sampling can effectually overcome the influences of interference from noise, textures and uneven illumination, greatly reduce the difficulty of centerline extraction, and tolerate small geometric transformations. By analyzing discrete-points' features in different belt-shaped regions of yin-yang discrete-point maps, multi-scale yin-yang discrete-point grouping produces a three-level detection system using feature points, line segments and centerlines, which can extract centerlines with their types quickly, smoothly and accurately from these belt-shaped regions, and achieve the final curvilinear structure results by clustering these centerlines with Gestalt rules.

Bioimage-oriented interfaces are linked to a 3D image formation system, i.e. the optical microscope, for a new approach to image manipulation in biology and medicine. Stereo monitors and 3D head-tracking and sensor devices allow the operator to interact with 3D data sets representing biostructures and to navigate through the object space. image restoration algorithms have been implemented in order to gather quantitative information and to study the delicate and interesting relationship between structure and function in biological systems.

Solving nonlinear equation systems (NESs) is a challenging problems in numerical computation. Two goals should be considered for solving NESs. One is to locate as many roots as possible and the other is to improve the solving precision. In this work, in order to achieve these two goals, a two-phase niching differential evolution (TPNDE) is proposed. the innovation of TPNDE is mainly reflected in the following three aspects. First, a probabilistic mutation mechanism is designed to increase the diversity of the population. Second, a novel reinitialization procedure is proposed to detect converged individuals and explore more new regions that may contain global optima. third, distribution adjustment local search (DALS) is proposed to deal with the isolated solution and enhance the convergence of the algorithm. To evaluate the performance of TPNDE, we test our TPNDE and 5 state-of-the-art algorithms on 20 NESs with diverse features. the experimental results show that the proposed TPNDE algorithm is better than the other methods. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A variety of free, open source GIS tools is now available for geo-related processing. the Web processing service (WPS) uses Web service technology for spatial calculations or easy access to models on the Internet in contrast to traditional geospatial processing, which is standalone, inefficient and often requires purchase of expensive software. A number of standards-compliant geospatial Web services have been developed using geographic resources analysis support system (GRASS) functions to manipulate rasters and vectors, and to process satellite image data. the paper adopts the WPS mechanism to expose the existing geospatial processing algorithms in the Web services as the interoperable WPS processes. A 52deg North WPS following the open geospatial consortium (OGC) standard is used supports the server. the key problem is that the version used with GRASS is incompatible with the version used with WPS. the way to address this challenge is to convert the data structure from WPS XML data input to an intermediate format compatible with GRASS. An open source GeoTools feature model would be a major undertaking. Two typical geospatial processes from the WPS would be invoked to handle geospatial data from Web coverage service (WCS) and Web feature service (WFS). these two cases illustrate that the WPS-enabled algorithm is easily accessed and easily integrated into scientific workflow systems in geospatial modeling. the biggest advantage of is its extremely high efficiency and low cost.

the aim of this article is to introduce disaggregation techniques used in the present and create a system that would be able to disaggregate the measured data and create energy profiles of individual appliances. the principles of disaggregation methods were explained in the analytical part and designed the algorithm based on this analysis. the algorithm suitable for processing measured data was designed and implemented in the practical part of thesis. Subsequently, the system was tested and the measured data processed and evaluated.
