Dynamic Metasurface Antennas (DMAs) have been recently proposed as a computational imaging platform that relaxes the hardware constraints. these antennas produce tailored radiation patterns to multiplex the spatial information from the scene compressing the measurements into a single channel. Despite simplifying the hardware layer, the compression of the signal sets challenges in image reconstruction. the indirect sampling of the imaged scene makes it necessary to use computationally intense sensing-matrix based solutions since Fourier-based image reconstruction techniques are not directly applicable. In this paper, a bistatic case using DMAs as transmit and receive apertures is discussed and a pre-processing step is proposed to render the measurement set compatible with conventional Fourier-based imaging algorithms. the performance of the reconstruction algorithm including the pre-processing step is demonstrated when the algorithm is parallelized using a single Graphical processing Unit (GPU) card arguing that real-time image reconstruction is possible when imaging with DMAs.

In this paper, an efficient blind signal processing algorithm called relative-gradient bound component analysis algorithm that combines the concepts of the relative-gradient approach and the bound-component analysis is applied to the image watermarking systems. Unlike to the other blind-signal-processingalgorithms, neither the inverse matrix nor the covariance matrix is necessary to be computed in this one. It can successfully extract the embedded watermark without the whittling process. the time complexity and the space complexity of this algorithm are both lower than those of the original bound component analysis algorithm.

image inpainting is a prolific line of research due to its applications in restoration of missing or damaged areas of the image. In this paper, a novel iterative algorithm for image inpainting based on aggregation functions and penalty-based functions is presented. the algorithm combines diffusion-based and patch-based techniques. In each iteration of the algorithm, the level of consensus among the known pixels in a neighbourhood of each pixel is computed. If a minimum value of consensus is reached, the pixel is recovered by means of an aggregation of the known pixels of the neighbourhood through aggregation functions and penalty-based functions. Otherwise, a non-local search of similar patches is performed and then a similar aggregation but now of the centre pixels of those patches more similar to the region we must recover is carried out. Experiments on synthetic and natural images show the potential of this algorithm both from the qualitative and the quantitative points of view in comparison to other classical inpainting algorithms.

the edge-directed interpolation scheme is a noniterative, orientation-adaptive method to enhance image resolution with better visual effect than conventional interpolation methods. It interpolates the missing pixels based on the covariance of a high-resolution image estimated from the covariance of the low-resolution image. In spite of the impressive performance, the computational complexity of covariance-based adaptation is significantly higher than that of the conventional linear interpolation algorithms. In this paper, we propose a GPU-based massively parallel version of the edge-directed interpolation scheme. A speedup of 61.7x can be achieved with respect to its single-threaded CPU counterpart in the host computer.
