Recent technological breakthroughs in vehicular ad hoc networks and the Internet of things (IoT) have transformed vehicles into smart objects thus paving the way for the evolution of the promising paradigm of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), which is an integral constituent of the modern intelligent transportation systems. Simply put, IoV attributes to the IoT-on-wheels, wherein vehicles broadcast safety-critical information among one another (and their immediate ambiences) for guaranteeing highly reliable and efficacious traffic flows. this, therefore, necessitates the need to fully secure an IoV network since a single malicious message is capable enough of jeopardizing the safety of the nearby vehicles (and their respective passengers) and vulnerable pedestrians. It is also pertinent to mention that a malicious attacker, i.e., vehicle, is not only able to send counterfeited safety-critical messages to its nearby vehicles and the traffic management authorities but could further enable a compromised vehicle to broadcast both spoofed coordinates and speed-related information. It is, therefore, of the utmost importance that malicious entities and their messages be identified and subsequently eliminated from the network before they are able to manipulate the entire network for their malicious gains. this paper, therefore, delineates on the convergence of the notion of trust with the IoV primarily in terms of its underlying rationale. It further highlights the opportunities which transpire as a result of this convergence to secure an IoV network. Finally, open research challenges, together with the recommendations for addressing the same, have been discussed.

the system aims to build a mobile application with the functions of power index information display, independent group table, message push, personal information and so on. this application is based on the relevant data information of planning system and SOD system, applies big data distributed storage and computing technology, and takes big data platform as the core. the system adopts the infrastructure of state-owned network APP and is embedded in state-owned network APP through mobile web pages to create an independent business application module. At the same time, the system based on the same architecture also has an independent app operation mode. the design of the system follows the principles of front-end and backend separation, service layered decoupling, micro service distribution and asynchrony. At the same time, following the threetier architecture of data layer, service layer and presentation layer adopted by the mainstream of software development, the statistical data such as distribution, supply, use, sale, equipment and investment are displayed, which improves the convenience of obtaining statistical *** has promoted the full utilization of the value of statistical data and the end link of statistical business to a new level.

Today mobile solutions are expected to streamline all kinds of daily tasks from entertainment and communication to more specific tasks such as ordering food or buying a ticket for public transport. Social networking solutions might entail frequent image processing while mobility solutions might activate sensors in order to provide public transport operators with insights into travel patterns. All of these tasks lead to an elevation in resource expenditure which becomes a problem for everyday mobile users, especially in terms of battery life. this work proposes the usage of mobile clouds in mobility related solutions in order to offload tasks and share context specific data with nearby devices. the proposed solution is a mobile application capable of ranking nearby nodes based on their performance characteristics, and then request these nodes to participate in a shared sensor data collection according to computing principles of mobile clouds. the proposed solution can be used to both reduce energy consumption of devices and increase the amount of sensor data collected. We evaluate the solution based on both energy consumption and data loss. We measure and compare both battery drainage and data loss where the latter is evaluated by measuring sensor events sent versus received.

Recently, the development of quantum chips has made great progress - the number of qubits is increasing and the fidelity is getting higher. However, qubits of these chips are not always fully connected, which sets additional barriers for implementing quantum algorithms and programming quantum programs. In this paper, we introduce a general circuit optimizing scheme, which can efficiently adjust and optimize quantum circuits according to arbitrary given qubits' layout by adding additional quantum gates, exchanging qubits and merging single-qubit gates. Compared with the optimizing algorithm of IBM's QISKit, the quantum gates consumed by our scheme is 74.7%, and the execution time is only 12.9% on average.

Message dissemination problem have attracted great attention in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). One important task is to find a set of relay nodes to maximize the number of successful delivery messages. In this paper, we investigate the message dissemination problem and propose a new method that aims at selecting optimal nodes as the collaborative nodes to distribute message. Firstly, we analyze the real vehicle traces and find its sociality by extracting contacts and using community detecting approach. Secondly, we propose community collaboration degree to measure the collaborative possibility of message delivery in the whole community. Moreover, we use Markov chains to infer future community collaboration degree. thirdly, we design a community collaboration (CC) algorithm for selecting the optimal collaborative nodes. We compare our algorithm with other methods. the simulation results show that our algorithm performance is better than other methods.

In this paper, we introduce DPFDT - a decentralized privacy-preserving fair data trading system using smart contracts. In this system, data as a digital commodity can be sold by the seller to the buyer at a certain price. We first design a conditional anonymous scheme based on block-chain and a fair trading protocol. then we integrate them to form DPFDT to provide fairness, conditional anonymity, privacy-preserving, and decentralization. A conditional anonymous scheme means that the user’s operations are carried out through anonymous accounts, but when an anonymous account does some malicious behaviors, its real account will be traced. A protocol is said to be fair if and only if the buyer pays, and he will be guaranteed to receive the correct data. While a few fair exchange protocols based on smart contracts have been proposed, the DPFDT has the following advantages: (1) Adding privacy-preserving into the system, including the privacy of both parties’ identities in trading and the privacy of the buyers’ needs; (2) Authorizing buyers the right to specify the order. that is, sellers will be asked in the order specified by the buyer; (3) Introducing a paid trial stage in the trading process, the loss of paying for unwanted goods will be minimized. Besides, security analysis shows that the proposed scheme has transaction security and trade security. Finally, experiments are done on the Ethernet platform. It shows that the DPFDT is efficient and practical in real-life applications.

the explosive increase of mobile devices and advanced communication technologies prompt the emergence of mobile computing. In this paradigm, mobile users' idle resources can be shared as service through device-to-device links to other users. Some complex workflow-based mobile applications are therefor no longer need to be offloaded to remote cloud, on the contrary, they can be solved locally with the help of other devices in a collaborative way. Nevertheless, various challenges, especially the reliability and quality-of-service of such a collaborative workflow scheduling problem, are yet to be properly tackled. Most studies and related scheduling strategies assume that mobile users are fully stable and with constantly available. However, this is not realistic in most real-world scenarios where mobile users are mobile most of time. the mobility of mobile users impact the reliability of corresponding shared resources and consequently impact the success rate of workflows. In this paper, we propose a reliability-aware mobile workflow scheduling approach based on prediction of mobile users' positions. We model the scheduling problem as a multi-objective optimization problem and develop an evolutionary multi-objective optimization based algorithm to solve it. Extensive case studies are performed based on a real-world mobile users' trajectory dataset and show that our proposed approach significantly outperforms traditional approaches in term of workflow success rate.

the RISC-V ISA is becoming one of the leading instruction sets for the Internet-of-things and System-on-Chip applications. Due to its strong security features and open-source nature, it is becoming a competitor to the popular ARM architecture. this paper describes the design of a light weight, open-source implementation of a RISCV processor using modern hardware design teclmiques, the implementation of the design onto a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), and its testing. We wanted to create a RISC-V processor that is easy for beginners to learn from and lightweight enough to be implemented on even small FPGAs. While there are existing opensource implementations of RISC-V processors, none are intuitive enough for a beginner to follow. For this reason, in this paper we have minimised the use of conventions and components in modern processors that are not strictly necessary for a barebones implementation. For example, the processor does not include pipelining and uses a simple Harvard architecture. the barebones nature of the design allows for a lot of potential for upgradability. the implementation of each component, and the corresponding test benches, are written in concise and conventional System Verilog. the project produced a RISC-V processor with files for targeting Basys 3 Artix-7 FPGA. Performance was tested using the Dhyrstone benchmark and achieved a strong 2276 DMIPs/MHz, even outperforming the ARM Cortex-A9, while maintaining very low resource utilization on the FPGA.

Smart mobile devices coupled with the Internet of things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have emerged as a key enabler of modern digital health applications. While cloud computing is now a well established paradigm for analysing IoT captured data in mobile health applications, on-board analysis of data using AI approaches such as Deep Learning (DL) is gaining significant momentum. this is driven primarily by advances in on-board resources enabling modern mobile devices to execute complex DL models, while also offering improved response time and accuracy for rapid decision-making, and enhanced user privacy. While the number of mobile digital health applications that use IoT and DL is increasing, progress is currently impeded by a lack of framework for profiling and evaluating the performance of DL models on mobile devices. To this end, we propose MobDL, a framework for profiling and evaluating DL models running on smart mobile devices. We present the architecture of this framework and devise a novel evaluation methodology for conducting quantitative comparisons of various DL models running on mobile devices. three diverse digital health applications using heterogeneous data (e.g. image, time series) are introduced. We conduct extensive experimental evaluations using several DL models that have been developed using the data sets obtained for the three digital health applications to validate the effectiveness of the proposed MobDL framework. © 2020 ACM.

Nowadays, collaborative filtering methods have been widely applied to E-commerce platforms. However, due to its openness, a large number of spammers attack those systems to manipulate the recommendation results to earn huge profits. the shilling attack has become a major threat to collaborative filtering systems. therefore, effectively detecting shilling attacks is a crucial task. Most existing detection methods based on statistical-based features or unsupervised methods rely on a priori knowledge about attack size. Besides, the majority of work focuses on rating attack and ignore the relation attack. In this paper, motivated by the success of heterogeneous information network and oriented towards the hybrid attack, we propose an approach DMD to detect shilling attack based on meta-path and matrix factorization. At first, we concatenate the user-item bipartite network and user-user relation network as a whole. Next, we design several meta-paths to guide the random walk to product node sequences and utilize the skip-gram model to generate user embeddings. Meanwhile, users' latent factors are decomposed by matrix factorization. Finally, we incorporate these embeddings and factors to joint train the detector. Extensive experimental analysis on two public datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method and show the effectiveness of different attack strategies and various attack sizes.
