this work presents a vision-based navigation control strategy for a wheeled robot traveling outside. the main achievements contain road detection with deep learning and navigation control scheme of a robot. A deep convolutional neural network is first employed to perform pixel-wise segmentation and thus to find road regions. Next, a fuzzy controller is designed for commanding a robot's activities including movement and speed. Experimental results verify the essential capability of navigation by using a deep architecture of convolutional network. In brief, the proposed approach certainly reaches autonomous traveling with collision avoiding and wayfinding functionalities.

In this paper, the fuzzy position and posture stabilization for the differentially-driven wheeled mobile robot (WMR) with laser range finder (LRF) localization is investigated. the position and posture of the WMR are sensing by the LRF with inertial measurement unit (IMU). the position and posture stabilization is based on the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model of the mobile robot represented in polar kinematics. the position and posture stabilization of the T-S fuzzy model based control design follows the Lyapunov stabilization method. Moreover, the constraint on the LRF-based localization is considered in the control design. Finally, the position and posture stabilization experiments are carried out on a mobile robot with LRF-based localization to prove the effectiveness of proposed T-S fuzzy model based control strategy.

this paper proposes a brain-emotional-learning-based fuzzy control (BELFC) system which is comprised of a fuzzy amygdale controller (FAC) and a fuzzy orbitofrontal controller (FOC). the FAC is used for providing attention signals and the FOC is designed to inhibit inappropriate responses from the FAC. All adjustable parameters of the BELFC system are online tuned based on both of the brain emotional learning model and the gradient descent method. Finally, the proposed BELFC system is applied to chaos synchronization problem. the simulation results show that the chaotic behavior of two nonlinear chaotic systems can be synchronized using the proposed BELFC scheme after controller parameters learning.

this paper analyzes the characteristics of geological spatial information sharing at first. In order to break the current "information island" and implement spatial information sharing among virtual organizations, the concept of China geological spatial information grid is proposed. Focusing on the core techniques of grid virtual and collaborative issues, this paper discusses the framework and mechanism of grid node computing pool which makes up the China geological spatial information grid platform. the concepts and the key techniques of resource aggregator, meta-service and distributedintelligent service engine which compose the grid node computing pool are given. After three years research, now, the China geological spatial information grid which connects five nodes is preliminary constructed and has been on work. It has implemented on-line distributed resources acquisition, search, spatial analyze, download, resources assessment and geological disaster dynamic assessment of the multi-scale geological maps, geochemical maps and hydrological maps. the actual operation has achieved good results.

With increased interest in learning from data, algorithms that manipulate datasets containing hundreds of features have become popular in various fields such as medicine, image processing, geolocation, biochemistry, and computational linguistics. Since a number of these applications exploit the power of fuzzy sets in representing uncertainties, it may be considered essential to describe a method for selecting the most suitable fuzzy membership function to represent a high-dimensional dataset. In this paper, we propose such a method, which is based on dimensionality reduction using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique, followed by the Wilcoxon Minimal Bin Size algorithm, which has earlier been evaluated on multidimensional datasets up to 8 dimensions. We further demonstrate our proposed method using two real datasets consisting of 281 and 500 features, respectively.
