A camera has been widely used in practical fields with a diversity of purposes recently. there is a variety purpose of photography: images for memory, medical images for diagnosis, images for object recognition, surveillance images, and so on. In case of images for object recognition, the clarity of images is necessary to analyze the images which are obtained using vision sensors. However, a brightness of the image highly depends on the intensity of illumination in the certain environment. therefore, we propose a method to solve the problems mentioned above by adjusting brightness automatically by utilizing CIE L*a*b* color space and fuzzy inference system. At first, the proposed method adjusts the brightness of a given image by considering both RGB component and L component of CIE L*a*b* color space. Secondly, the proposed method applies the fuzzy inference system to determine adjustment coefficients of each pixel for adjusting brightness of the image. through the processes as mentioned above, we can obtain the result which is adjusted its brightness. To verify the proposed method, we compare the result image with two different images, a reference image, and an adjusted image by using offset. It is confirmed that the proposed method can adjust a given image efficiently and automatically.

In this paper, we propose a novel method for visualizing two-dimensional interval type-2 fuzzy membership functions (2-D IT2 FMFs) using one-dimensional general type-2 fuzzy membership functions (1-D GT2 FMFs), and also describe the procedure for extending our method to fuzzy sets representing higher dimensional data. then we present a type reduction method for mapping 2-D IT2 fuzzy sets into 2-D type-1 fuzzy sets that uses alpha-plane representation of general fuzzy sets. We discuss the problem of "multiple membership values for the same element," which violates set properties, in an IT2 Fuzzy C-means (FCM) algorithm for clustering and propose a solution that uses transformations in the visualization method. these techniques can be applied to applications involving fuzzy sets that represent multidimensional data for proper visualization and type reduction, such as image segmentation, classification and prediction, to name a few.

Under the paradigm of Edge computing, the enormous data generated at the network edge can be processed locally. Machine learning methods are often adopted to make full utilization of these data, among which the deep learning is a promising one. When considering the inherent distributed feature of these data, it is appeal to conduct distributed deep learning tasks directly at the edge. We focus on an edge computing system that conduct distributed deep learning tasks using gradient descent based approaches. To ensure the system's performance, there are at least two major challenges to cope with: how to offload the training jobs with multiple data source nodes and how to allocate the limited resources on each edge server among training jobs. In this paper, we jointly consider the two challenges, aiming to maximize the system throughput while ensuring the system's quality of service (QoS). We formulate the joint problem as an integer non-linear program and propose an efficient approximation algorithm based on reformulation and randomized rounding technique. Simulation results prove that the proposed algorithm can improve 56% of the system throughput and 53% of resource utilization when compared to the conventional baseline algorithms. © 2019 IEEE.

this article deals with the proposal of distributed parallel network system architecture for intrusion detection. the aim is to design model of architecture that will be used for searching, detecting and analyzing intrusions. this proposal of detection system in network will use enormous performance of the GPGPU high-parallel data computing technology which can substitute the most complicated part of the intrusion detection process in NIDS. the model is highly scalable and allows the usage of several most recent trends in the IDS field with GPGPU support. Due to the fast attacks reaction system analyzes all the data in different formats in whole set of attacks and system alerts. © 2013 IEEE.

Recently, Cloud computing is getting considerable attentions not only as the technology trend but also the new business model. Virtualization plays an extremely important role in Cloud computing. Server virtualization has been achieved using virtualization hypervisor software such as VMware, Xen, and KVM, etc. Virtual Machines (VMs) created by hypervisors share the same physical environment with each other. Network virtualization is made by virtually connecting each virtual machine to a port on the virtual switch, which can be implemented by software or hardware. In this paper, we review both software and hardware network virtualization techniques and present the integration of open-source hypervisor with software virtual switch, which provides cloud users a more elastic and secure network environment.

the orchestration of distributed microservices-based applications, particularly within geo-distributed Cloud-to-Edge environments, poses significant challenges. While Kubernetes stands as the predominant container orchestration standard in Cloud data centers, its static container scheduling approach presents limitations in deploying complex, distributed microservices-based applications across Edge environments. Presently, the scheduling process in Kubernetes fails to consider current infrastructure network conditions, resource usage, or runtime application state-crucial factors for mitigating the heterogeneous and dynamic nature of Cloud-to-Edge infrastructure and optimizing application response times. In this study, we propose an enhancement of the Kubernetes platform by implementing a load and network-aware microservices scheduling and orchestration strategy. the idea is to extend the Kubernetes control and scheduling logic with a dynamic orchestration strategy, continuously adapting application placement based on the real-time state of both the infrastructure and the application itself. We evaluate the efficacy of our approach by comparing it with the default Kubernetes orchestration and scheduling strategy.

New Grid and cloud solutions for distributed data mining and data processing are needed for execution of data intensive workflows. In contrast of the standard workflows, in which data between the jobs are exchanged in the form of files and the jobs are finished when they process the input data, data intensive workflows receive data organized in blocks which are streamed on inputs, analyze the data and produce stream output. Each job is active for a long period of time and can receive new data. In our previous research works we proposed the Open Grid Service Architecture for Data Mining (OGSA-DM), which is capable of executing data intensive workflows. According to our analysis, the current algorithms for scheduling workflows can't be applied on data intensive workflows because they produce unsatisfactory results and can't guarantee optimal solution. In this paper we propose new optimization and scheduling algorithm which is developed on the advantages of data intensive workflows. In several experiments we've shown that our proposed algorithm works and gives satisfactory results.

In recent times, Bitcoin has gained special attention both from industry and academia. the underlying technology that enables Bitcoin (or more generally crypto-currency) is called blockchain. At the core of the blockchain technology is a data structure that keeps record of the transactions in the network. the special feature that distinguishes it from existing technology is its immutability of the stored records. To achieve immutability, it uses consensus and cryptographic mechanisms. As the data is stored in distributed nodes this technology is also termed as "distributed Ledger technology (DLT)". As many researchers and practitioners are joining the hype of blockchain, some of them are raising the question about the fundamental difference between blockchain and traditional database and its real value or potential. In this paper, we present a critical analysis of both technologies based on a survey of the research literature where blockchain solutions are applied to various scenarios. Based on this analysis, we further develop a decision tree diagram that will help both practitioners and researchers to choose the appropriate technology for their use cases. Using our proposed decision tree we evaluate a sample of the existing works to see to what extent the blockchain solutions have been used appropriately in the relevant problem domains.

Efficient scheduling algorithms play an essential part in heterogeneous computing systems (HeCS) to achieve high performance. So we proposed a new efficient dynamic multi-strategies scheduling algorithm (DMS). the basic idea of this algorithm is to reduce communication in the priority calculation phase and task mapping phase. In the priority calculation phase, the algorithm increases the weight of the task. During the task mapping phase, three approaches for mapping tasks are proposed, and the method which reduces the most communication time among the three approaches is chosen as the task mapping standard. the results of the algorithm presented in this paper demonstrate improved performance in terms of speedup, and schedule length ratio. © 2019 IEEE.
