With the development of low-cost microcontrollers, sensors and wireless communications, intelligent environment monitoring based on the Internet of things (IoT) has become possible. In this paper, an indoor environment monitoring system constructed by sensor network is realized. the system consists of distributed sensing nodes, which contain temperature and humidity, human infrared, voice recognition and camera sensors, etc. the nodes are connected to STM32 microcontrollers and WIFI modules and are scheduled in real time using free real time operating system(FreeRTOS). the visual and time series sensing data are transmitted to the server via WIFI in real time, and the user can monitor the system remotely by using the PYQT interface program on the PC. the system can also control home appliances by voice. the data interaction uses self-built WIFI module in AP mode for SOCKET communication. through rigorous testing, the system demonstrates the capability of data communication, low-latency video streaming, and bi-directional control. the sensor network and real-time OS based architecture utilizes parallel execution to balance different temporal tasks and realize an agile cyber-physical system. this paper provides a reference for the underlying software infrastructure of intelligent buildings, embodying the integrated application of real-time scheduling, sensor networks and human-computer interaction.

this manuscript presents a state of –the –art overview on developing soft computing-based intelligent systems relevant to language education and research to inspire technology-savvy teacher-researchers to create their interactive tools. In this regard, two important fields (Natural Language Processing and Data Analysis) of computer science have been considered as the main directions of that linguistic computation because of their amazing software applications like automatic writing tutors, text summarizers, and so-called corpus-based apps. the paper also outlines some ethical considerations of system usage so that system designers should devise relevant design features in the future thereby teachers overcoming some classroom challenges. Unlike previous methods of studies on computer-assisted language teaching and research, our work devises a multidisciplinary method to reach the state-of-art. through this method, we summarize the relevant literature source from two perspectives, linguistic and computational ones. the rationale of this method by the survey of engineering English students confirms that fuzzy logic-based Natural Language Processing and Data Analysis approaches can be employed effectively in language education and research. Finally, based on the multidisciplinary literature review method, the manuscript produces an overview of state-of-the-art performance as the outcome.

Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) are approaches that are utilized for data augmentation, which facilitates the development of more accurate detection models for unusual or unbalanced datasets. Computer-assisted diagnostic methods may be made more reliable by using synthetic pictures generated by GAN. Generative adversarial networks are challenging to train because too unpredictable training dynamics may occur throughout the learning process, such as model collapse and vanishing gradients. For accurate and faster results the GAN network need to trained in parallel and distributed manner. We enhance the speed and precision of the Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Networks (DCGAN) architecture by using its parallelism and executing it on High-Performance computing platforms. the effective analysis of a DCGAN in Graphic Processing Unit and Tensor Processing Unit platforms in which each layer execution pattern is analyzed. the bottleneck is identified for the GAN structure for each execution platforms. the Central Processing Unit is capable of processing neural network models, but it requires a great deal of time to do it. Graphic Processing Unit in contrast, side, are a hundred times quicker than CPUs for Neural Networks, however, they are prohibitively expensive compared to CPUs. Using the systolic array structure, TPU performs well on neural networks with high batch sizes but in GAN the shift between CPU and TPU is huge so it does not perform well.

Nowadays, object detection and 3D tracking have become key technologies for intelligent system or robot navigation to realize automatic obstacle avoidance and target detection, especially in low-light and night vision scenarios. In this paper, we explore the backscattering capability of LEDs and implement a multi-modal tag LED-tag to realize object detection and 3D tracking. Our basic idea is to utilize the fact that feeding modulation signals to an LED-tag can generate both RF and visual features. We fuse the depth of field information perceived from the RF domain and the pixel coordinates obtained from the visual domain to derive a 3D position by matching the decoded ID. In the RF domain, the depth of field is acquired through ultra-wideband channel measurements and estimated phase. In the visual domain, the pixel coordinate in the XOY coordinates can be extract from the image and mapped into 2D spatial coordinates. To address the limited backscatter capability of the LED-tag, we propose a multiple parallel branch model to increase backscatter paths for amplifying the LED-tag's backscattering intensity. Additionally, we propose a decoding ID scheme that utilizes a priori knowledge and repetitive samples to restore the IDs whose encoding frequency is higher than four times the sampling rate. We have implemented a prototype system and evaluated its performance in real-world environments. Extensive experimental results show that LED-tag can backscatter RF signals ranging up to 15m. Besides, the system achieves an average position error of 8cm within the range of 3m.

In DSRC (dedicated short-range communication) based ITS (intelligent transportation system) networks, a number of mobile hosts can be densely distributed in an area, caused by traffic congestion. the majority of the mobile hosts require commonly useful information, such as traffic information, parking information and other driving-related information in such environment. It would be very effective to provide such information by using a common communication channel. In fixed networks, IP (Internet Protocol) multicasting is a well-known mechanism providing efficient point-to-multipoint data delivery. However, it does not handle mobile hosts as members of a multicast group. In this paper, we propose a base-station (BS) multicast group which consists of base stations accessed by mobile hosts that belong to a multicast group. Furthermore, we define new messages to control a BS multicast group based on the group management messages in IP multicasting. Managing the group members by control messages according to the movement of the mobile hosts eliminates packet loss during the mobile hosts' movement between base stations and reduces the amount of message traffic for multicast group management. We can show the effectiveness of our proposal by simulation results that show an improvement to the data-receiving rate (by more than 17%) and a reduction of the elapsed time (by more than 33%) for the completion of data received on the mobile hosts.

Regular Expression (RegEx) matching is the industry standard for Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) because RegExes are significantly more expressive than strings. To achieve high matching speed, we need to convert the RegExes to Deterministic Finite State Automata (DFA). However, DFA has the state explosion problem, that is, the number of DFA states and transitions can be exponential with the number of RegExes. Much work has addressed the DFA state explosion problem;however, none has met all the requirements of fast and automated construction, small memory image, and high matching speed. In this paper, we propose a decompositional approach, with fast and automated construction, small memory image, and high matching speed, to DFA state explosion. the first key idea is to decompose a complex RegEx that cause exponential state increases into a set of simpler RegExes that do not cause exponential state increases, where any character string that matches the complex RegEx also matches all the RegExes in the set of simpler RegExes;that is, the set of strings that match the complex RegEx is a subset of strings that match the set of simpler RegExes. the second key idea is to use a stateful post-processing engine to filter the matches that are actually the matches of the complex RegEx. Given an input string for matching, instead of using the large DFA constructed from the original complex RegEx to perform the matching, we first use the small DFA constructed from the set of simpler RegExes to perform the matching, and then, if the small DFA reports a match, we use the post-processing engine to determine whether it is a true match to the original complex RegEx. Because the pre-processing is simple, automaton construction can be automated and fast, and because most on-line processing is done by a DFA, its matching speed is close to that of a DFA alone. this paper describes the potential impact of the Internet of things (IoT) technologies and architecture on factory automation. Whereas, IoT use cases range from intelligent infrastructure and smart cities to health care and shopping assistants, it is important to note that factory automation could benefit as well from an IoT approach. In this paper, we argue that there will not be one IoT but many IoTs that could differ in the type of infrastructure they are running or applications they support. In IoT@Work we focus on the potential of making manufacturing environments more agile and flexible. We explain how the IoT-centric architecture for manufacturing also needs a deep understanding of the manufacturing system and its state today. We, therefore, do a reverse engineering based on the requirements and the description of the agility expected in the automation system itself.

Integrated agricultural environmental information real-time collection, transmission and management is extremely critical for precision agriculture(PA). this paper describes the basic knowledge and primary principles used in an agricultural environmental information collection device. the device is based on Raspberry Pi, combining with GPS module, some digital sensors and analog sensors to measure environmental temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, light intensity, soil moisture and other environmental information accurate collection. All collected data was real-time transmitted to a remote server specified database for management. In the experiment process, the device has been proved to have the ability to catch the distributed information and also can get different centralized data management. the results show the integration of operational information collection, transmission and management, as well as the use of open source software to make it easy to collect multiple types of data parallelism, which provides an important solution for the rapid transformation of agricultural production.

In order to master the dynamic changes of cucumber fruit growth in solar greenhouse and its relationship with meteorological elements of greenhouse,continuous no damage dynamic monitoring for transverse diameter of Cucumber fruit collected by every 10 min were carried out by the crop growth monitoring instrument, air temperature, air relative humidity, solar radiation and other factors in the greenhouse were also continuous observed by micro climate observing systemStudies have shown that cucumber fruit diameter hourly increment is most at 17:00 or 18:00 in the fair-weather, but least at about 11:00, with a sensible diurnal variation;in the cloudy weather, the growth law of cucumber fruit diam‐eter is similar to which in the fair-weather;the hour increment has a no apparent diurnal variation in the overcast weather;in the overcast to clear weather, there was a noticeable transformation in the diurnal variation of cucumber fruit diam‐eter hourly increment, the diurnal peak value usually appears at 17:00 or 18:00,but before and after noon rebound phenomenon could occurs obviouslythe good correlation with the Cucumber fruit diameter hourly increment should be in the sequence below: the average temperature four hours before, the average relative humidity four hours before and the average solar radiation five hours before;the significantly correlation with the Cucumber fruit diameter daily increment should be in the sequence below: the daily minimum temperature that day, the daily average temperature the day before, the daily average relative humidity the day before, the daily average radiation the day before, and daily temperature range the day before.
