Withthe growth of the number of microgrids (MG), the interconnection of multiple micro-grid systems with close distance to improve the power supply economy and reliability through connecting lines has gradually become a topic worthy of attention and exploration. Based on two micro-network systems on an island in Hong Kong, this paper designs a control method for the dual-station parallel operation of the master station-substation mode: the master station maintains the system frequency and voltage reference value, and the substation and the master statio n cooperate to achieve power balance and voltage stability; At the same time, the operation strategy will maintain the balance of the battery state of charge (SOC) of each station, and maximize the ability of power supply support between stations. the protection design of the system mainly includes the following aspects: photovoltaic generation (PV) and wind generation Power Conversion System (PCS) failure and system disconnection; In case of failure of energy storage, switch the load power supply paththrough the circuit breaker, and switch the role positioning of master station and sub station if necessary; Cut off the faulty line and adjust the operation mode of each micro-network station in case of failure of connecting line; Treatment of too low or too high stored energy SOC. the dual-station parallel system mentioned above has been in stable operation on site for one year and has achieved the design expected results. the control method and protection design can be extended to more micro-network system interconnection scenarios.
