Recently, the development of control technology is improving and the requirement for control precision gets higher than before. In order to accomplish accurately control performance, nonlinear control techniques are implemented on control system. this paper presents a new form of backstepping sliding mode controller for X-Y table motion system. Experimental results are presented to show that the proposed controller can accomplish accurate tracking circle trajectory performance.

Wonham & Francis, and Davison on the other hand, developed independently the theory and construction of finite-dimensional robust controllers. this work considers (deep) artificial feed-forward neural networks as parametric approximators in optimal control of discrete-time switched linear systems withcontrolled switching. the proposed approach is based on approximate dynamic programming and allows the fast computation of (sub-)optimal discrete and continuous control inputs, either by approximating the optimal cost-to-go functions or by approximating the optimal discrete and continuous input policies. An important property of the approach is the satisfaction of polytopic state and input constraints, which is crucial for ensuring safety, as required in many control applications. A numeric example is provided for illustration and evaluation of the approaches.

this paper deals with modeling of the hard disk ramp loading with a discontinuous controller. the property of the sample-data system with a discontinuous hold is studied. Further, explicit expression of the discrete-time transfer function of sampled-data systems with a discontinuous hold is provided for a class of continuous time plant. It is shown that with discontinuous hold, the hard disk plant sampled-time model is minimum-phase instead of non-minimum phase if with zero-order hold.
