We investigate the bifurcation behavior of a discrete-time model of Internet congestion control system, which stands for a single link shared by multiple sources. By choosing the gain parameter and the number of sources as bifurcation parameters, we prove the existence of period doubling bifurcation in the model and study the stability of bifurcation. We also find that chaotic behavior of the model can be controlled by limiting the amplitudes of the sending rates.

this paper presents a localization method using motion vision. the proposed method locates a mobile robot relative to the object to which the robot moves. Two points are selected from the object as feature points. Consecutive two images containing the feature points are taken before and after the robot moves. then, the poses of the robot can be determined according to the image coordinates of the feature points. A search algorithm is also presented to enhance the localization precision. It can find more correct image coordinates of the feature points based on the real detected image coordinates. Many experiments are performed on real images to justify this search algorithm. the results show that it is effective.

Motivated by applications in fuzzy control, robotics and vision, this paper considers the problem of computing the centre of mass (precisely, the Karcher mean) of a set of points defined on a compact Lie group, such as the special orthogonal group consisting of all orthogonal matrices with unit determinant. An iterative algorithm, whose derivation is based on the geometry of the problem, is proposed. It is proved to be globally convergent. Interestingly, the proof starts by showing the algorithm is actually a Riemannian gradient descent algorithm with fixed step size.

In this paper, we review some of the recent results in decentralized control for large-scale nonlinear systems. Problems of decentralized stabilization, adaptive tracking, disturbance attenuation with internal stability are discussed, with a special emphasis on output feedback control. A practical example of double inverted pendulums is given to demonstrate the novelty of our approaches.
