the use of 3D objects may enhance the requirements engineering procedures. Different approaches using 3D modelling in requirements engineering, are described in the academic literature. Furthermore, the state of research shows objectives which can be obtained by using 3D modelling. this provides a good basis to formulate a reference model which helps project managers to plan the use of 3D modelling in requirements engineering. In order to support the usage of 3D modelling in requirements engineering, a reference model is designed. this model should help project managers, to plan the usage of 3D modelling. For doing so, project managers need to know why, how and when to use 3D modelling. the findings from literature were used in combination with an experiment, to elaborate a recommendation for using 3D models in requirements engineering. the experiment was combined with a survey in a requirements engineering lecture at IU international University of Applied Sciences. the experiment shows 3D modelling by using LEGO (R) SERIOUS PLAY (R) to be a liked method. the method seems to facilitate the motivation and collaboration. However, a further pre-analysis, before using the regular LEGO (R) SERIOUS PLAY (R) method shows no significant effect, to improve the analysis. A reference model was proposed to guide the usage of 3D modelling in requirements engineering. Especially the phases of requirements elicitation and the solution design benefit from using 3D modelling techniques in this proposal.

Architecture description languages (ADL), many of them well-established, are popular in the systems and softwareengineering fields. they all exhibit different strengths, weaknesses, and specializations. Many of them are targeting static architectures with some limited support for dynamic changes of the architecture during run-time. the proposed Architecture Description Language in this paper targets the definition of architectures for system of systems (SoS) that can allow for dynamic changes in each system through manipulation of components during run-time and, therefore, dynamic reconfiguration. the existing modeling tools do not target dynamic reconfiguration of systems and, especially system of systems and could be used through possible extensions or annexes. Examples of such existing languages are SysML and AADL. these capabilities allow for improved system maintenance and adaptive behavior at run-time. the main contribution of this work is achieving these goals through the development of a new specialized language. dynADL and its environment have been developed using Antlr and C++ and have been tested for generating systems in POSIX environments. It is an architecture definition language that is extensible and flexible and has an experimental git repository with C++ source code for the implementation of the tools. the proposed tools allow for code generation of skeleton code for systems of systems that have dynamic behavior.

the correct execution of missions is considered crucial in many industries. this is especially true in the military and homeland security sectors. the creation of missions quickly and generically is a challenging task. As many vehicles are controlled from ground control stations or through special mission applications that are in the air or in motion on the ground, the ability to describe all aspects of the mission and deploy it efficiently is a great plus when operating safety-critical systems. Unfortunately, comprehensive solutions for defining missions are rare and are not universal to be practical. this paper presents a mission description language and approach that covers all essential aspects of missions pertinent to UAVs and UGVs. this work presents a methodology for mission validation and deployment that can speed up and validate missions that are modified frequently and even during the execution of the current mission. Developing such mission description language follows formal grammar and implementation through parser generation tools. the language structure allows for creating tools to generate code for mission applications based on established messaging protocols such as Mavlink. this facilitates the generation of missions by users who understand the system but not necessarily all implementation aspects of the UAV and UGV software.

Systematic literature reviews (SLRs) and systematic mapping studies (SMSs) are common studies in any discipline to describe and classify past works, and to inform a research field of potential new areas of investigation. this last task is typically achieved by observing gaps in past works, and hinting at the possibility of future research in those gaps. Using an NLP-driven methodology, this paper proposes a meta-analysis to extend current systematic methodologies of literature reviews and mapping studies. Our work leverages a Word2Vec model, pre-trained in the softwareengineering domain, and is combined with a time series analysis. Our aim is to forecast future trajectories of research outlined in systematic studies, rather than just describing them. Using the same dataset from our own previous mapping study, we were able to go beyond descriptively analysing the data that we gathered, or to barely 'guess' future directions. In this paper, we show how recent advancements in the field of our SMS, and the use of time series, enabled us to forecast future trends in the same field. Our proposed methodology sets a precedent for exploring the potential of language models coupled with time series in the context of systematically reviewing the literature.

Simulation in medical education bridges gaps in clinical exposure, using high-fidelity manikins for immersive training in procedures like Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). A high-fidelity simulation includes pre-briefing, clinical scenarios, and debriefing. the debriefing process provides feedback to help learners identify knowledge gaps and improve performance. However, existing manikin systems feedback does not always align with simulation objectives, educator expectations, and the latest guidelines. To address this, we developed automated feedback software guided by medical standards and expert input, generating detailed reports on student actions. We propose using automated feedback and video recordings to enhance self-debriefing.
