Solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop systems are now supported and used to generate the electricity around the world, including thailand. the government in thailand has planned the PV system accommodation according to thailand Power Development Plan (PDP) 2018-2037 revision 1, which the new target is 8, 740 MW. To accomplish this goal, the distribution systems are improved and the control functions in PV inverter are also adopted. this paper proposes how to enhance the maximum PV system, called hosting capacity (HC) of distribution system, by using the control functions, i.e. cosphi(P), Q(U), and Q(U)/ P(U). Furthermore, an OLTC is brought to cooperate with the control functions in PV inverter to improve the HC of distribution system. the simulation data are based on typical distribution system in thailand which is obtained from the utility. the network constraints are considered i.e. the line capacity and voltage rise due to main obstructions of PV system interconnections. the simulation results show that if a control system is added to PV inverter, the maximum amount of PV capacity connecting to the distribution grid will be higher, and if OLTC is installed into the distribution system, the maximum amount of PV capacity will be the highest. © 2021 IEEE.

Perovskite materials have been successfully investigated in solar cells applications in order to deliver high power conversion efficiency (PCE). In this paper, we assess the performance of cesium-formamidinium-based mixed halide perovskite with varied bandgap for perovskite solar cell (PSC) applications, and we derive their sensitivity under high-temperature conditions. A proposed combined opto-electronic model is used to optimize PSC and achieve the highest PCEs. Our Simulated results highlight that appropriate bandgap engineering of 1.62 Ev, optimal interface materials and thickness of the perovskite absorber lead to significantly higher PCE over 20% for PSC. Of critical importance, the temperature sensitivity of PSC is decreased as compared to the crystalline-silicon solar cell device under high-temperature conditions. thus, our work shows that PSC under optimal characteristics could be the possible new guidance for manufacturing solar cells of higher PCEs and low cost.

Digital health can be defined as the use of wearable technology, connected software solutions, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data is for empowering and portioning patients to achieve healthcare through informed healthcare choices and available resources. Increased access to health knowledge results in fewer medical visits and improves healthcare as providers deliver high-quality service and outcomes when they can target individual needs. Online Consultation through Digital has grown during pandemics and has become an essential aspect of our life. As costs go down, more patients can access services thereby increasing the reach of healthcare facilities even in areas lacking adequate medical staff which eventually results in digital health care platforms and online consultation. Machine learning is helping digital health care to optimize the results of the search in finding better doctors, treatment, hospitals, and consultations. Certain ML aspects help digital platforms to predict the disease and various other health parameters. Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (LVH) is a significant predictor of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) onset, with early detection being crucial for implementing targeted treatment to prevent further deterioration. Current methods for detecting LVH often have low accuracy due to the challenge of extracting relevant information from complex Electrocardiographic (ECG) signals. this study proposes a novel LVH detection algorithm based on Polygonal Area Feature Selection (PAFS) and a Convolutional Neural Network-Long Short-Term Memory (CNN-LSTM) model. the algorithm uses PAFS to identify the most relevant features for LVH detection and employs a CNN-LSTM model to train on these features, enhancing the accuracy of ECG waveform analysis and LVH detection. To evaluate the algorithm’s efficacy, ECG data from LVH patients collected in a clinical setting were analyzed using a 5-fold cross-validation approach. the results indicate that our algorithm outperforms existing methods, achieving a sensitivity of 84.7%, a specificity of 86.1%, and an overall accuracy of 85.8%. Notably, the PAFS method identified that the most discriminative features for LVH detection are located around the QRS complex. these findings highlight the potential of AI in improving the diagnostic accuracy of LVH. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

this study investigated the effectiveness of using the Kahoot! game in developing the cognitive achievement and direction of students of pharmacy at Alasmarya Islamic University, Libya. the study design is based on action research. Kahoot! was implemented once at the end of each of three units. the study sample consisted of 30 female students from the first year of university at the Pharmacy Science College in Libya. the students were selected randomly, and studied using Kahoot! technology. For the quantitative part of the study, data were collected through a 20-item questionnaire on 20 participants and 15 participants to gather information on students' perceptions about this application by the interview. Results indicate that the students were able to engage actively in the chemistry lessons and learned the unit on molecular weights effectively, leading them to enjoy basic chemistry, and the surveys allow for anonymous classroom participation, which further engages all students. the results hold implications for the development of more efficient, effective in educational process. © 2022 the Authors. the flexible management of flexible loads in direct current (DC) distribution systems can improve energy management effectively, reduce system investment and construction costs and increase the penetration of new energy. In this paper, a method to optimise the capacity allocation of converter stations in the DC distribution system is proposed, and the flexible load scheduling strategy of the system is considered. A two-layer multi-objective optimisation model is established with the objectives of lowest system investment and construction cost, maximum revenue and highest new energy penetration rate. Converter station capacity constraint, energy storage charging and discharging constraint and converter power constraint are taken into account as constrain condition. Taking actual scenario as an example, optimisation model is established and solved by particle swarm optimization algorithms (PSO). the results show that the strategy proposed in this paper can achieve flexible and effective management of the flexible load, and the converter station capacity obtained by optimisation has a certain degree of economy. © ACDC 2022. Given the surge in network attack behavior, detecting malicious traffic has become a pivotal cybersecurity task. Many existing methods for malicious traffic detection rely on machine learning and deep learning, but they exhibit certain shortcomings: A considerable number of these methods rely on statistical features, which may lose their relevance as networks evolve and lead to the loss of important information. Additionally, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) face limitations in extracting features from network traffic, specifically, their inability to capture traffic interaction behavior information within a network flow. In this paper, we propose a Traffic Behavior Analysis model with Graph Neural Networks (TBA-GNN), which works directly with raw bytes and leverages the hierarchy structure of traffic (byte-packet-flow) to delve into valuable information. Firstly, we devise the PacketCNN to extract packet-level features from raw bytes. Subsequently, we construct a network flow as a Traffic Interaction Graph, containing both the traffic interaction behavior information and packet-level traffic information, and utilize the GNN to extract flow-level features. Finally, we perform a classification task to detect malicious traffic. We conduct extensive experiments on the ISCXIDS2012 and CICIDS2017 datasets, and the experimental results demonstrate that our model effectively identifies malicious traffic, outperforming baselines significantly. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Context: the Covid-19 pandemic led to a comprehensive transformation of how organizations operate and people work. Many companies, especially in the software development area, sent their employees to work from home in order to contain the spread of the virus. Nowadays, after two years of the pandemic, the companies introduce new regulations concerning the work organization for their employees. We notice a high variety of work organization types in practice, like work from home, work from anywhere, onsite work or mixed approaches. While some organizations integrated approaches like work from anywhere, others specify rules for part-time organizations onsite and work from home. this situation leads to new challenges for agile software development teams, as the agile practices in use are originally designed for onsite work and focusing on social aspects like collaboration. Also, the adaptions of specific agile practices due to the remote work during Covid-19 by the teams may do not cover the new circumstances of hybrid (distributed) work settings, while some team members work from home, others onsite in the office. Method: We conducted a quantitative survey in two agile software development teams in one company operating in a work from anywhere setting. Results: the results of this study show that the team members prefer to work remotely in future. However, some team members also want to work one or two days per week onsite in the office. this heterogeneous preferences of the workplace will lead to hybrid work organization and thus, to new challenges and advantages for agile software development team members. Conclusion: Based on our results, we discuss the needs of agile software development teams working in hybrid settings concerning equipment in the office, new software tools supporting the agile approach in use and the adaption of agile practices. In the Stack Overflow (SO) community, users typically employ links (including internal and external links) in their posts or comments to better present their cited knowledge. Prior studies have already demonstrated that external links bring valuable information, thus enhancing the software engineering knowledge quality within the community. Nowadays, the act of users referencing internal links has formed connected knowledge subgraphs with question threads as nodes and internal links as edges. However, the characteristics of the subgraphs have not been investigated. It is still unclear how and why users reference internal links within the subgraphs. In addition, the impact of internal links within the subgraphs on the community is yet to be explored. therefore, we constructed subgraphs through internal links and analyzed their structural stability based on the official SO data dump. Subsequently, we employed qualitative analysis methods to explore how and why developers reference internal links within the subgraphs. Finally, we conducted a quantitative analysis to assess the impact of the subgraphs on the community. We observed the subgraphs are structurally stable, with a slowing expansion rate. Meanwhile, We found that 82.4% of links were cited without summarizing the content. Notably, 64.3% of links without summaries are likely to hinder knowledge comprehension once they become obsolete. this is especially pronounced for links cited for “providing solutions to subproblem”, reaching as high as 96.9%. Our quantitative analysis has uncovered the last updated time of question threads within the subgraphs is closer to the present. Simultaneously, they also exhibit a lower deletion rate. Based on our findings, we provide actionable suggestions for developers, SO community, and researchers. For example, we encourage researchers to develop a visualization tool that can visualize question threads and their internal links from the “linked” list as graphs. this facilitates i

Cervical cancer (CxCa) is heavily swerved toward low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Without prompt actions, the burden is anticipated to worsen by 50% from 2020 to 2040 - nearly 90% of deaths to occur in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Yet, uterine cervix neoplasms are readily avoidable due to a protracted latent cancer period. As it stands, deep learning (DL) is a potent solution for enhancing the early detection of cervical cancer. this work assesses and compares the performance of seven end-to-end learning architectures to automatically recognize cervical lesions and carcinoma histotypes upon hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)stained pathology images. Pre-trained VGG16, VGG19, InceptionV3, ResNet50, MobileNetV2, InceptionResNetV2, and DenseNet201 were the implemented deep convolutional neural networks (dCNNs) throughout the present empirical analysis. Experiments are conducted on two datasets: (i) Mendeley liquid-based cytology (LBC) and (ii) the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Endocervical Adenocarcinoma diagnostic slides. All tests were validated under a 5-fold cross-validation, with four key metrics, Scott-Knott (SK), and Borda count schemes. Both pathology data appear to promote InceptionV3 and DenseNet201. Yet, while VGG16 is a weak-performing approach for liquid-based cytology, it evinces promise in histopathology yielding 99.33% accuracy, 98.85% precision, 99.83% recall, and 99.34% F-measure.
