Path planning improves the performance and robustness of vision-based robot control in unstructured environments. Visual servo path planning usually focuses only on the path of the camera in the Cartesian space or the path of the feature points in the image space, which means that the collision between robots and obstacles in the workspace cannot be avoided. this paper proposes a vision-based potential field path planning method for robot manipulators with field-of-view constraints in the image space and obstacle avoidance in the Cartesian space. A hybrid potential field function is proposed to integrate Fo V limits in the image space and obstacle avoidance in the Cartesian space. A probability-based search strategy is presented for path planning to avoid oscillation caused by gradient descent. the proposed method is applied to a collaborative robot with 7 degrees of freedom equipped with an eye-in-hand camera. Experiments in two different environments have verified the superiority of the proposed method regarding spanned image areas, camera path lengths, iteration times, and obstacle avoidance compared to the classical gradient descent-based method.

the copper interconnects cannot keep pace with the IC interconnect requirements as the feature size continues to scale down to nanoscale. theoretical works predicted that carbon nanotube (CNT) is more superior than copper for future VLSI interconnects in terms of electrical conductivity, thermal management and reliability. Technology breakthroughs are required to bridge the gaps between the theoretical predictions and what is achievable with current CNT technology. In this paper, we shall describe our experimental efforts on the controlled growth of aligned CNTs; the integrations of CNT interconnects with IC technology; and the electrical characterization of the CNT interconnect. We also present the electro-migration test result of CNT-based interconnects to demonstrate the potential of CNT as robust VLSI interconnects. We hope our works provide useful data on the potential of CNT for VLSI interconnect applications.

Traditional Q-Learning algorithm has problems of data transmission lag and its environmental reward model is too simple. It cannot be well applied to the reinforcement learning of affective virtual human behaviour decision. Analogizing the thought of human' s self-reflection in this paper, a improved Q-learning algorithm is proposed, which can be easily applied in behavioural decision-making of affective virtual human. the Q-learning algorithm in this paper not only strengthens the behaviour strategy with better learning cycle and weakens the behaviour strategy with worse learning cycle by the way of self-reflection reward, but also picks up the speed of the effect of behavioural decision feedback to state-action pair in a learning cycle, thus improving the convergence rate of Q-learning algorithm in affective virtual human's behavioural decision-making. the algorithm aims at helping affective virtual human carry out path optimization in a two-dimensional grid environment in the simulation test. the results show that the improved Q-learning algorithm is significantly faster than the traditional Q-learning algorithm in achieving the optimal control strategy with an average of 43.7 learning cycles. the validity of the algorithm is verified.

the problem of the application of the multithreshold approach in the machine learning and the neural computation is considered in the paper. We design the model of hybrid 2-layer neural network whose hidden layer consists of bithreshold neural units and employs the winner-take-all computing principle. this model can be useful in the solving regression problems. the model-based approach to the supervised learning of such networks is proposed. Two hyperparameters of the learning algorithm allow to adjust the approximation capability of the network and to tune its ability to generalization. We present the simulation results on the benchmark dataset, which confirm that proposed learning procedure yields the bithreshold neural network that is suitable to make predictions when working with real-world data.

the features of the complex application of AI and its tools in related fields for the introduction of modernization and further development of IR and MRTS in robotics were considered. the introduction of the transition zone is proposed as the basis of a complex analysis of two control paradigms: prescription and description. A solution to the problem of determining the boundary between the transition zone from one control paradigm to another based on the fact of jumpiness changes property is presented and proposed. Experimentally, for a definition transition zone, the probability of holding the object in the gripper under different orientation conditions with plane-parallel and rotary movement of the contact planes of the gripper was investigated. the effect on the probability of holding the part in the gripper of its geometric deviations and external force was determined. the design decisions of the gripper, its orienting mechanism, the kinematic scheme of the manipulator as a result of the implementation of the AI tool, and the application of transition zone two control paradigms were studied.

We studied and compared the application areas of computer clusters with limited computing resources and well-known single-board computers. Existing solutions for calculating convolutional neural networks are analyzed. the possibility of implementing convolutional neural networks on computer clusters with limited computing resources has been established. the system implements an architecture that allows you to organize and distribute convolutional neural network calculations without dividing the convolution sphere into parts with load balancing taking into account the specifics of the data and resources processed on the cluster nodes. the developed algorithm for the application of convolutional neural networks by a computer cluster with limited computing resources makes it possible to use the developed forecasting models of convolutional neural networks to perform calculations in cyberphysical systems of the Internet of things.

In this paper, we consider a queue-aware distributive power and relay selection control for two-hop cooperative OFDM systems with bursty arrivals. the complex interactions of the queues at the source node and the M relays (RSs) are modeled as an infinite horizon average reward Markov Decision Process (MDP), whose state space involves the joint queue state information (QSI) of the queues at the source node and the M RSs as well as the joint channel state information (CSI) of all S-R links and R-D links. the traditional approach solving this MDP problem involves centralized control with huge complexity. To address the curse of dimensionality, we first propose a equivalent MDP formulation on a reduced state space. We show that the delay-optimal power control (and link selection algorithm), which are functions of both the CSI and QSI, has a multi-level water-filling structure. To obtain a distributive and low complexity solution, we introduce a linear structure which approximates the value function by the sum of per-node potential functions. Furthermore, we derive a distributive stochastic online learning algorithm in which each node recursively estimates the per-node potential functions based on real-time observations of the local CSI and local QSI only. Finally, we show that the combined distributive learning converges almost surely to a global optimal solution for large arrivals.

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are one of the most significant challenges in network security, especially in the Software-Defined Network (SDN) environment, due to the centralized network management provided by the control Plane. Considering the insufficiency of traditional detection approaches because of the growth and sophistication of DDoS attacks, exploiting Machine Learning (ML) techniques is in high demand. For this, feature modeling is essential to obtain an effective ML-based DDoS detection system, especially in the pre-processing phase. In this paper, we proposed and implemented a pre-processing model based on deep studying the dataset, going so far as to increase the features number for a better representation and, if necessary, minimize the data dimension by exploring some dimensionality reduction techniques such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) or t-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE). Moreover, to invest even more in our conceptual aspect relating to SDN environments, as specified in the above-cited challenge, we have chosen to implement our proposed model using an open-source SDN dataset created specially in an SDN environment. then, the statistical characteristics of these correlations are analyzed. In addition, eight ML techniques between supervised and unsupervised models were used in our work to detect DDoS attacks. Finally, we compared our proposed model with other existing approaches. the outcome showed that the detecting reliability is improved, and the method has a good effect on detecting DDoS attacks compared with other methods.

the article presents a study on classifying wind turbine defects using the SqueezeNet neural network. Wind turbines are critical for renewable energy, but defects such as corrosion, erosion, and cracks can significantly reduce their efficiency. the study proposes using image classification techniques with neural networks, particularly SqueezeNet, to automate defect detection. the compact nature of SqueezeNet makes it suitable for real-time applications with limited computing resources. through training and testing, the network achieved an accuracy of 89%, demonstrating its potential to improve wind turbine maintenance and reduce operational costs.

Detection of metal surface defects is an important and necessary quality control process for industrial products. there are numerous systems available to identify material and texture defects, most of them are complex and require ample data to initiate the process. In this paper, we consider a method of converting metal surface images into binary histogram representation for further examination of the obtained images for the presence of defects in the original images. It has been found that with the right parameters set this method can meet accuracy requirements for metallic defect detection. Finally, with further transferring calculations to the GPU, we expect working time at the level of the fastest neural networks.
