As technological advancements have been introduced and utilized, there is a need to make strides in agriculture. The fundamental problem in agriculture is increasing farming efficiency and quality without regular physical monitoring to meet the rapidly expanding demand for food. This paper assesses and reviews the role of IoT in field crop monitoring to improve productivity and efficiency in agriculture. With the emergence of new advanced technologies, it has become possible to implement precision agriculture through IoT. It is vital to screen the ecological conditions in and around the field to accomplish a crop monitoring framework. As the climate changes over time, there is a need for crop growth to be also monitored and understood. Some of the parameters that must be examined to improve the yield include soil quality, atmosphere conditions, moisture, temperature, and humidity. © 2022 ieee.

In order to improve data gathering and monitoring, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been employed together recently. This strengthens the design of the WSN, where UAVs serve as aerial base stations linking wireless sensors in remote areas of surveillance networks. In order to tackle the clustering problem of the WSN and determine the best site for the UAV to prolong its usable life, this optimization research employs two algorithms: (1) Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and (2) Genetic Algorithm (GA). WSNs can operate in multimedia networks thanks to the mobility, computing power, and battery life of these mobile devices. While offering a comprehensive assessment of nearly all scenarios involving the usage of UAVs and UGVs, this paper focuses mainly on the employment of UAVs for data collecting in WSNs. Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UGVs) can collect data from stationary sensor nodes in the monitoring fields. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can collect data alone or in conjunction with other UAVs. New technology known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has showed promise in raising economic efficiency, enhancing urban intelligence, and enhancing people's quality of life. Due to its applications in a multitude of domains, such as public health, environmental protection, disaster management, security, agriculture, transportation, and communication, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have grown in popularity. Industry 4.0's B5G applications are inspired by intelligent, networked things. We revisit the design of self-adjusting single-source tree networks. The problem can be seen as a generalization of the classic list update problem to trees, and finds applications in reconfigurable datacenter networks. We are given a balanced binary tree T connecting n nodes V = {v(1), ...,v(n)}. A source node v(0), attached to the root of the tree, issues communication requests to nodes in V, in an online and adversarial manner;the access cost of a request to a node v, is given by the current depth of v in T. The online algorithm can try to reduce the access cost by performing swap operations, with which the position of a node is exchanged with the position of its parent in the tree;a swap operation costs one unit. The objective is to design an online algorithm which minimizes the total access cost plus adjustment cost (swapping). Avin et al. [12] (LATIN 2020) recently presented RANDOM-PUSH, a constant competitive online algorithm for this problem, based on random walks, together with a sophisticated analysis exploiting the working set property. This paper studies analytically and empirically, online algorithms for this problem. In particular, we explore how to derandomize RANDOM-PUSH. In the analytical part, we consider a simple derandomized algorithm which we call ROTOR-PUSH, as its behavior is reminiscent of rotor walks. Our first contribution is a proof that ROTOR-PUSH is constant competitive: its competitive ratio is 12 and hence by a factor of five lower than the best existing competitive ratio. Interestingly, in contrast to RANDOM-PUSH, the algorithm does not feature the working set property, which requires a new analysis. We further present a significantly improved and simpler analysis for the randomized algorithm, showing that it is 16-competitive. In the empirical part, we compare all self-adjusting single-source tree networks, using both synthetic and real data. Medical and transportation systems are only two examples of the many domains in which the IoT has found success. To meet the growing demand for continuous health surveillance that is affordable, noninvasive, and long-term, smart healthcare platforms have emerged as the most efficient and useful alternatives. To improve the reliability of IoT devices in smart cities, this study first establishes a cloud-assisted dependability evaluation approach, as reliability examination for IoT gadgets is a crucial part of data source authentication. In addition, a non-interactive zero-knowledge argument-based anonymous verification and key agreement system is developed to address the issue of user privacy being compromised during the process of verification. The proposed method may safeguard sensitive information collected by Internet of Things gadgets in smart cities. The experimental modeling shows that the proposed method outperforms competing approaches by a significant margin. Lastly, the suggested strategy is demonstrated to be more practical and secure than the previous schemes by comparison of effectiveness. © 2023 ieee.

Emerging applications impose the min-max line barrier coverage (LBC) problem that aims to minimize the maximum movement of the sensors for the sake of balancing energy consumption. In the paper, we devise an algorithm for LBC that finds an optimal solution within a runtime O (n(2)), improving the previous state-of-art runtime O (n(2) log n) due to [7]. The key idea to accelerating the computation of the optimum solutions is to use approximation solutions that are obtained by our devised approximation algorithm. Numerical experiments demonstrate our algorithms outperform all the other baselines including the previous state-of-art algorithm.

Microcomputers and medical devices with signal transceivers that operate on a specific radio display constitute the backbone of wireless sensor networks (WS Ns) that monitor environmental conditions (temperature, pressure, light, vibration levels, location). It is widely used in WAN sensor networks because of its flexible design and low setup fees. The u200b touch network allows for the connection of up to 65,000 devices, while the Intelligent sensors on other wireless networks are used to transfer data ports and assign wireless networks. Since the price of wireless solutions has been decreasing, and their functional capabilities have been growing, they are gradually replacing wired ones in telemetry data gathering systems and long- distance detecting communication. A deep learning model was used in this investigation to prevent the sensor nodes from manipulating data. sensor nodes include a lot of parameters and estimations. If these projected data values are altered, network performance will suffer, and the node's lifetime will be reduced. Data security became a priority when the sensor nodes were distributed. This new method is 98.82% more efficient than the previous one. © 2023 ieee.

distributed clustering algorithms are employed in wireless sensor network (WSN) to improve the local data analysis. This process is carried out collaboratively with the help of nearby neighbours without a central controller. In this paper, distributed clustering is performed with Self Organizing Map (SOM). The SOM is a popular unsupervised neural network model that maps input data to a lower-dimensional grid. On this grid map similar input patterns are placed closer to each other. This process helps in discovering patterns and relationships in the data without prior labeling, thus making proposed distributed Self Organizing Map (DSOM) useful for unknown local data analysis at the WSNs. The proposed algorithm is applied to analyze two real life WSN datasets: Water quality monitoring of Thames river, Weather monitoring dataset of various stations at Canada. Comparative analysis is carried out with distributed Particle Swarm optimization algorithm and distributed K-means algorithm. The proposed DSOM has superior performance, as indicated by Silhouette Index and Quantization Error measurements.
