Major problems with the electricity grid include electrical mishaps. Electrical linemen who died at work while doing maintenance made up the majority of deaths. Poor electrical wire charging and discharging, that is due to a privation of coordination and communication is the main reason for these worrying results. While running a transmission line, security measures must be applied. The possibility of a misunderstanding leading to actual harm still exists. Lack of coordination and communication between the maintenance staff and the electric substation, it has been discovered that the number of fatal electrical accidents involving linemen is rising during the repair of electrical lines. The suggested approach offers a remedy that guarantees security of linemen. This work's primary goal is to decrease the frequency of issues that arise when line and light faults occurs. It may also be advantageous to save electricity, saving the life of a lineman who is working on an electric line. In this paper, an effort is made to advanced control & monitoring of a typical lineman security system using NodeMCU (ESP8266) with WiFi Module for integration of IoT. Circuit breaker factors like load current, status of loads are supervised. The supervised data are uploaded to Internet of Things platform 'MQTT Application'. Supervised circuit breaker factors are used to monitor the condition of the circuit breaker. In this paper effort is done to advance automated circuit breaker control and monitoring systems which detect the electrical and mechanical condition of circuit breaker, which is real time in operation. This model reduces the unnecessary downtime condition of the transmission line pole. Also, open-source platform is used that removes the worry about security and reliability of the application. And complete source code implementation is open & it is easily available for the consumer to access (user). © 2023 ieee.

In recent years, data security incidents caused by insider threats in distributed file systems have attracted the attention of academia and industry. The most common way to detect insider threats is based on user profiles. Through analysis, we realize that based on existing user profiles are not efficient enough, and there are many false positives when a stable user profile has not yet been formed. In this work, we propose personalized user profiles and design an insider threat detection framework, which can intelligently detect insider threats for securing distributed file systems in real-time. To generate personalized user profiles, we come up with a time window-based clustering algorithm and a weighted kernel density estimation algorithm. Compared with non-personalized user profiles, both the Recall and Precision of insider threat detection based on personalized user profiles have been improved, resulting in their harmonic mean F1 increased to 96.52%. Meanwhile, to reduce the false positives of insider threat detection, we put forward operation recommendations based on user similarity to predict new operations that users will produce in the future, which can reduce the false positive rate (FPR). The FPR is reduced to 1.54% and the false positive identification rate (FPIR) is as high as 92.62%. Furthermore, to mitigate the risks caused by inaccurate authorization for users, we present user tags based on operation content and permission. The experimental results show that our proposed framework can detect insider threats more effectively and precisely, with lower FPR and high FPIR.

Wireless communications have experienced speedy and technical development in this modern era. Significant improvements are required in terms of communication speed link, energy level, size of the device, network lifetime and applications for different generations of wireless devices. Due to the advancement in technical development, the researchers have started to build WNArchitectures the conventional method of data communication using peer-to-peer basis with a centralized (BS) controller. In Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs), the conventional method of data communication in the network is instituted and this allows the nodes to forward data through other nodes in the communication network and create new communication paths that involve several wireless hops in the communication network. Recently, there has been an upraise in cooperative communication. This promising methodology plays an important role in relieving wireless channel fading, as well as, recuperating steadfastness in networks which permit nodes that allow cooperation among them. The nodes share data in cooperative communication by exploiting the communication in their broadcasting nature. Simulations were run for various adjustments in order to approve the Cooperative Power and Energy-efficient routing protocol (COPE) [14] convention's implementation alongside the proposed Minimum Power Least Cost Routing (MPLCR) Algorithm conventions. © 2022 ieee

Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) has been widely used to replenish energy for Wireless Rechargeable sensor Networks. However, the charging service model, which is of the essence to commercial WPT, has not emerged so far. In this paper, we present a wireless charging service model from the perspective of cooperative charging economics, and formulate the Cooperative Charging Scheduling (CCS) problem for joint optimization of rechargeable devices' charging cost and moving cost. We first propose two intragroup cost sharing schemes to sustain the cooperation among devices. Then, the approximation algorithm CCSA of the CCS problem is proposed based on greedy approach and submodular function minimization. Furthermore, we model the large-scale CCS problem as a coalition formation game and present a game theoretic algorithm CCSGA. We show that CCSGA finally converges to a pure Nash Equilibrium. We conduct simulations, and field experiments on a testbed consisting of 5 chargers and 8 rechargeable sensor nodes. The results show that the average comprehensive cost of CCSA is 27.3% lower than the noncooperation algorithm and is only 7.3% higher than the optimal solution on average. In field experiments, CCSA outperforms the noncooperation algorithm by 42.9% in terms of comprehensive cost on average. Moreover, CCSGA is much faster than the approximation algorithm and is more suitable for large-scale cooperative charging scheduling.

A non-invasive and portable device for stroke detection is proposed in this paper. A planar microwave sensor is designed at 2.4GHz ISM band on roger substrate with copper as conducting material. The microwave sensor is replicated and embedded on both sides of the cervical collar of the human neck along with an electronic control unit. A brain stroke can be diagnosed by the gradual deposition of plague in the carotid artery. The blood flow in the carotid artery should be monitored continuously by employing the proposed microwave sensor. The shift in frequencies aids in classifying the healthy carotid artery from the diseased one. The proposed sensor operates at S-band frequencies with Specific Absorption Rate value within FCC limits. The proposed device used is immune to inflammation. © 2022 ieee.

As we move more deeply into information-oriented services and systems, we clearly observe the importance and impact of smart and connected vehicles for urban computing. New Cloud-enabled paradigms have boosted information and service sharing. However, such paradigms rely heavily on the underlying communication layer, inheriting the challenges originated from the high mobility of vehicles. Several works have been devised to cope with highly dynamic vehicular environments in support of effective resource management and allocation, which we discuss in the paper. Moreover, we propose a Fog paradigm solution to resource allocation using a hierarchical method in vehicular clouds. Our method is based on the Multiplicative Analytic Hierarchy Process (MAHP) proposed by Lootsma. MAHP is a branch of another method called Analytic Hierarchy Process proposed by Saaty. Therefore, we used MAHP in the decision-making of the resource allocation process using a Fog paradigm to select the best Fog to allocate certain services. We evaluated the proposed solution comparing to three other decision methods, GREEDY, RANDOM, and RELIABLE. The proposed Fog-oriented Hierarchical Resource Allocation Policy in Vehicular Clouds (FRACTAL) performed better than the other decision methods, fulfilling more services and consequently denying fewer services.

Real-world applications such as habitat monitoring, air quality, natural disaster prevention, smart agriculture, and smart building are possible due to the utilization of Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs). However, in most cases, classic WSN nodes are fueled by non-rechargeable batteries with a limited capacity for energy storage. In this paper, a solar energy harvesting implementation is proposed in a wireless sensor network to increase the lifetime of each sensor node. The implementation may also ideally achieve an infinite lifetime. Nevertheless, there are many other obstacles to overcome and consider in solar energy harvestings, such as temperature fluctuations, solar panel conversion efficiency, solar energy forecasting difficulties, power interruptions, and other environmental or natural phenomenon issues. Therefore, the objective of this research is to review the recent literature on energy harvesting for wireless sensor networks focusing on solar ambient light energy. Using NETSIM simulations, the goal of this investigation would be to achieve reliability and energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks through solar energy harvesting. © 2022 ieee.

This paper presents a method for detecting faults in a micro grid using Artificial intelligence (AI). As we know fault detection is very important for microgrids and by using AI we can make the microgrid as smart grid as it can detect the faults itself by using artificial intelligence methods. Here the microgrid model consists of a diesel generator, a solar photovoltaic system, and a wind generator. Grid integration of solar and wind energy sources with diesel generation system can have faults which need to be detected and cleared as soon as possible as it is combination of three generation systems and lots of parameters included. In Simulink model, the microgrid's normal functioning and fault scenarios are simulated. The fault conditions simulated represent faults encountered by a distribution line. The AI based RBF classifier is trained using voltage and current samples. To foresee the performance of algorithm classification rate is stated in terms of the statistical metrics. © 2022 ieee.

The growth of vehicles in cities brings significant socioeconomic problems and new challenges. With that growth, the amount of information generated by vehicles and their devices also increments and can improve the network using Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET). VANETs make the communication between vehicles and infrastructures possible to exchange information and share resources. To assist VANETs, another concept called Vehicular Cloud computing (VCC) brings the Cloud paradigms to this scenario. In this paper, we propose a Bat Bio-inspired Mechanism for Resource Allocation in Vehicular Clouds, called NAUTILUS. The algorithm uses the metaheuristic to optimize the search process for defining pseudo-optimal decision-making of the allocation process in a Vehicular Cloud. We also consider a fog-based paradigm to assist the proposed mechanism in the allocation process. We allocate the following resources from the vehicles: storage, memory, runtime, and processing. The NAUTILUS was compared to two other algorithms that use traditional search techniques: a Greedy approach and an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach. In the comparison process, we evaluate the number of blocked, attended, and denied services. Simulations results show that the NAUTILUS presented better efficiency than Greedy and AHP approaches in all three performance aspects: blocking fewer, attending more, and denying fewer services.
